The above says if all ! Would certainly recommend going.
Great food, service and a wonderful location. Would recommend to anyone.
Great all round. Good food. Service excellent. A lovely sunny day.
super food and a really nice waiter even when we turned up with one too many and had trouble parking he was very understanding. was great!
Absolutely super food and lovely staff. Would definitely recommend to friends.
Very good service. Food was lovely. Location fantastic, sat outside in the warm sunshine.
Great atmosphere and lovely friendly staff, excellent service, but unfortunately our food was very average and fish dry and overcooked.
Very friendly and relaxed atmosphere in a lovely riverside setting. The food was great! Highly recommend the steak and the burger.
We had a delicious meal and drinks at this beautiful setting by the river on a sunny day with welcoming, friendly, efficient staff and local produce.
Visited the Waterside for a family meal. Food was lovely, great atmosphere & great service.
Warm and efficient welcome to this lovely bistro. Our food arrived extremely quickly after ordering, which I always find a little suspicious. My partner's fish, though beautifully presented, was slightly overcooked, mine was ok. Not enough to complain about, but we'd be choosing something different next time. My dessert was superb (lemon posset). Very loud music which meant people were having to speak very loudly to be heard. That was somewhat oppressive. That said, we'd definitely revisit.
Excellent service, delicious food and a lovely setting and atmosphere.
Lovely afternoon lunch in a charming seting with superb service. Thankyou!
Had to change timing of sitting which was no problem for the staff who were friendly throughout our visit good choice of food wine and beers very busy inside and out food was very good had a lamb terrine and lamb dinner wine and a beer not a cheap place but well worth a visit nice surrounding outside calm and quiet
Lovely lunch with friends. Service polite and friendly. An excellent menu to choose from so we’ll definitely be returning.
Lovely location. The food was very tasty and the staff friendly and helpful. An extensive menu and specials as well. We will definitely be back
Staff were really attentive and polite. Food was delicious and hot when it arrived at the table. We had the Sunday roast…..had the white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake……it was the best I’ve had. Certainly be returning 😊
Lovely menu with excellent choices and specials board. Attentive staff from start to finish
Food was delightful - I had beef which was beautifully cooked and my husband said the same about his lamb. Lovely cosy atmosphere in the bar area and the staff were friendly and helpful without being over the top.
Always a good experience. Great food and great service. Friendly atmosphere
I have visited before and everything has been good but on this occasion there was a couple of things wrong. The fish cakes were terribly salted, and the chips were awful, they came with the skin on and I'm sure they had been reheated. 3 out of 4 never eat the chips I will revisit but I'll certainly not be having the fish cakes or chips
Outstanding service from telephone contact regarding the booking process to the lunch on the day. We arrived early and chose to eat outside - the waiting staff were totally flexible and so very pleasant. The food was delicious and definitely value for money. We will be back! x
Last minute booking Sunday lunch. Warm welcome, lovely table overlooking Tyne. Food was very good, flavoursome, well presented, great value
Booked as a birthday lunch. Food, service, and overall experience were wonderful, and the restaurant made it extra special by giving us a table by the window and a surprise birthday candle with my dessert. Many thanks for a lovely birthday celebration meal!
Despite the upmarket appeal, the lovely waterside views, and the professional staff the food was sadly very unremarkable. It all looks great on paper but the key aspect to all food is how well the food is cooked and sadly this misses the mark. The chicken Goujons were overdone with burnt ends and a tough center. Whereas the salad and couscous were excellent. The breaded fish looked lovely and tasted okay, and came with a side of just straight up boiled peas and some basic thick cut chips that were unfortunately overcooked with some burnt chips. If we had these meals within your everyday pub then we would have been fine with it, but because this is an upmarket restaurant with dish prices nearly doubled that of your everyday restaurants I would have expected the food to be exceptional... Instead they were just overpriced beautifully-presented but overcooked disappointments. Might return for drinks but not food.
Good ambience, good service, reasonable value, friendly team, menu varied
We had a lovely meal in pleasant surroundings. We were given a window table looking out on the river.
Great food and service. Just wish we had a place like this on our own doorstep.
This was our first time visiting the Waterside Bistro. The food was excellent! Lovely atmosphere and location.

Lovely birthday lunch. Excellent food, service, ambience. We'll be back.
Lovely staff. Portions could have been smaller and still been enjoyable- we didn’t need starters as well as mains and had absolutely no room for dessert
Warm welcoming atmosphere with attentive service and good selection of specials using local produce.
Amazing family meal, best service had in a very long time and the food was delicious.
A great meal with great service and a cheerful energy.
Excellent meal in lovely surroundings . Food was delicious as always
We love the Waterside Bistro. Stunning location great service, super food. Genuine friendly team. The best place to be in Haddington
Beautiful location, beautiful pub. Staff are very welcoming and very friendly. Food and drink is very good. For my main course I had a fillet steak, which was cooked to perfection, but it wasn't rested long enough. Which leads me to the only negative. We felt we were being rushed. Each course was quickly followed by the next. Even when we asked them to take their time, we got the next course within a few minutes. Would have liked more time to enjoy the full experience. All said, would definitely recommend
Food was delicious but visit was made by the service. Attentive, and felt effort was put in to make us feel comfortable and relaxed. Would recommend.
Welcoming staff as ever, relaxed atmosphere and decent food. A good local!place to eat.
Our third visit. Most enjoyable evening. Very friendly and efficient service. Great menu. Lovely food. Observation: Tables, cutlery and glasses looking tired and below par for such a nice bistro.
Lovely setting, warm welcome and really delicious menu. Would highly recommend.
Well worth visiting. Will definitely return. The roast dinner was spot on.
