Pleasant staff and prompt service, well presented food. Very busy which makes it a little noisy, tables are very close together, but overall a pleasant experience.
Visited for afternoon tea - plenty of food and tasted great!! Friendly staff too, made sure we had everything we needed - definitely get value for money!!
Food was lovely, it was mother's day so it was bound to be busy, there just could have been a little more organisation in terms of timings with food.
Great service-staff very helpful-was quite busy so bit noisy.Food was lovely and presented beautifully though cake portions were rather small but had plenty of tea and table was spotless and very prettily decorated for Mother's Day-would def return and have been previously as it is a lovely little tea room and obviously very popular as it was full!!
The Potting Shed is a lovely place. This was our first visit but we will definitely be back again. The food was excellent and the staff very accommodating and friendly.
The food was very nice and well presented, the staff were friendly and attentive to our requirements. The restaurant itself had a warm and inviting feeling.
Our visit to the Potting Shed was most enjoyable. The food was delicious, very friendly staff, service excellent and surroundings beautiful. We will be returning again soon.
Delicious afternoon tea and very reasonably priced. Restaurant gets busy so I recommend you book. Extra touches like a mini quiche made our meal even better.
It is definitely worth booking a table here as it is often very busy. This is not surprising as the food and drink is varied and of good quality, promptly served and very reasonably priced. The atmosphere is family friendly and relaxed and, while not always the place for a quiet tete-a-tete due to the number of people and children, it is a cosy place to meet in a lovely environment.
Our family of 4 enjoyed a lovely meal one Sunday lunchtime. The service at the Potting Shed was friendly and the staff were happy to help.
Such a great lunch!! Everything was perfect: food, staff, atmosphere and furnishings/surroundings. Will definitely recommend and will definitely be returning, a big thank you xx
Went for Sunday lunch with my Mother and Daughter, had the roast beef with Yorkshire pudding, the dinner was outstanding lovely home style cooked food. Staff friendly and go out of their way to help. All together a fantastic afternoon.
Lovely atmosphere and staff very friendly. a very pleasant experience. Restuarant nice and clean. Tea and cake conumed which was very nice. Would definitely recommend and also go back myself.
Took my mum for the first time (and my second). Booked in advance as I know it can get very busy. Ordered food and drinks at the counter and was served promptly. Really lovely food and plentiful, tho' we still had room for a slice of coffee and walnut cake... My only criticism would be the table we were seated at was a little to close to the table next to us if I'm honest & also a tad close to the counter which at times got busy and we felt a bit claustrophobic. Overall a lovely experience which we both enjoyed and will definetly visit again soon....
Afternoon tea at The Potting Shed at Singletons Nurseries was totally delicious, Served in lovely surroundings by welcoming and friendly staff. I will be going back again soon!
Great place to catch up with friends and family, food good value for money and good baby changing facilities. Nice outdoor space for the summer
First visit to The Potting Shed. Definately won't be my last. Good variety. Food lovely and fresh. Very pleasant staff. A bit quirky. Loved it.
Well worth a visit to restuarant/coffee shop, breakfast was good, wasn't long waiting before our order was delivered to our table, would certainly go again
Had to wait a while to order drinks and food. Some items unavailable on menu. Food was quite tasty and everyone was served together. Pleasant and friendly staff. Cosy and relaxed atmosphere. Great to be able to take own wine etc.
Afternoon tea was really scrumptious. Did manage to finish it but only after many cups of tea ! Will be back again to try more !
Had Chrismas afternoon tea on the 23rd December at the Potting Shed. Food was excellent with good variety of savory and sweet Food. Staff were extremly busy which impacted on the service we received. No cultery with the Food, had to ask for this, wasn't asked if everything was okay or more tea/coffee.
Fabulous little place to visit and eat. Service, food and facilities excellent. Staff very friendly. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be going back.
Great place, really friendly. Food lovely. Can't wait to go back. Loads of parking, easy to find. Open for breakfast, lunch and also special evenings.
Food was very good, with a wide & varied selection at very reasonable prices. The service was very efficient, & all the staff were very helpful and made our visit most enjoyable. We will become regulars.
Very good but !! My husbands plate was taken before I had finished eating ... Food was very good but could have been warmer ... Enjoyed our meat and will most certainly come again but addressing above comments would make it much better . Thank you .
Lovely afternoon tea - very pleasant surroundings and great value for money. We will be back as due to the time of year we had the "festive" version which was delicious but keen to try the normal one!
A lovely cosy little cafe. Helpful, friendly staff. Nice food. A very enjoyable experience. Very easy to find (we are from out of town), thank you Potting Shed and Singletons we'll be back.

Great service and lovely environment. We had the festive afternoon tea and it was both tasty and filling. It was very busy so booking was necessary.

Just love this place food is always so good staff are helpful and friendly Never had a bad visit have recommended this place to so many people.
Verify pleasant and helpful staff and lovely food. First time visit and we shall no doubt return with friends and family to try the breakfast menu.
Singletons is now well established and well organised with cheerful, courteous staff, a good range of meals well cooked and well presented. Obviously this makes it a popular venue so, for someone like me -dependent on hearing aids- customer noise means it is sometimes a case of having to turn aids off and accept absolute silence. But unfortunately that is a common problem save in the most expensive dining rooms. I rate Singletons the best of its kind in this region.
Visited the potting shed for sunday lunch the whole experience was gets top marks. The food was excellent as always my mom who has a small appetite went for the smaller serving (childrens meal) it was perfect and had everything the adult size had. The atmosphere was good added to with the singer/ guitar player . Lovely place to be . 😚 thank you singletons potting shed
The venue was busy but the staff were still helpful, friendly and efficient . The food was excellent and we would definitely go to the Potting Shed again.
As usual. All excellent. Staff freindly. service good and food excellent. It is a lovely place to meet for lunch and a chat with freinds would recomed to anyone.
A+ Excellent as usual great place to meet friends for lunch and have a chat. Staff very friendly and helpful and lots of nice gifts in the shop.
Clean tidy - good food - friendly & helpful staff - good selection of items to choose on the menu - its not going to cost an arm & a leg either
We had afternoon tea for four of us it was amazing. Have made several visits to the potting shed with variouse friends & family and to date have not been disapointed. Staff always ready to help and make sure the experience is good. Recommend a visit, we are lucky we live local😁ps if booking on line add your requirments .
The Potting Shed continues to be the best of its type in these parts. The staff are efficient and pleasant and the meals are very good
We had an excellent Sunday lunch in lovely surroundings. The meat and vegetables were delicious and all served by friendly and efficient staff.well done! Will definitely go again.
On a very cold and blustery day my friend and I had arranged to meet at The Potting Shed for the first time. It didn't disappoint. There was a very varied menu with reasonable prices to choose from and very friendly staff . The service was quick and we enjoyed our meal. We will go back again.
The Potting Shed started off well and has kept up a very good service. It is certainly the best garden centre café/restaurant of its kind within a radius of twenty-five miles. Clean, bright, the food is good, the staff pleasant and efficient and the environment pleasing. What more could you want?
This place is improving steadily. Staff are friendly and efficient, food very good. It's popular with ladies who lunch so the noise level is a bit high (guess that will label me a chauvinist) but obviously, like me, the customers enjoy their experience.
Our first visit on a friend's recommendation. An excellent Sunday Lunch in very pleasant surroundings. Would have preferred a choice of desserts rather than cake but ice creams were good. Will certainly go again.
An excellent start but the drive now to provide ever more seating by utilising larger tables, trades intimacy for a pub atmosphere, increases noise and cramps movement between tables. For the future so much glazing and so many doorways make it difficult to provide adequate heating so even food served piping-hot is getting cold before consumed. But I want to see this very good effort succeed.
