Long wait from appetizer to entree. Nice location and great Venison.
tasty food, cooked well and very good service, lovely venue
Was greeted by very pleasant and helpful gentleman named Sean . Despite it being after 6 pm they agreed to us having the early evening menu . As vegetarians very little choice only one starter and one main course . The starter was a delicious carrot and turmeric soup which we all enjoyed. The main however was very disappointing it was a quinoa cake with tomato and chickpea on top sadly quinoa cake we all found tasteless . It was a shame as nice atmosphere and staff lovely and extremely helpful. Will look again at early evening menu and may try again if vegetarian option different .
Food - super. Service - Super. Rowdy small group should have been asked to lower the noise by management. A relief to all diners when the group left.
Food was great and service was very good , the cod was great
Fantastic food and friendly service. Great spot for people watching, between courses, if you get a window seat.
Lovely food, very friendly staff, great view of the river.
Beuautifully prepared food though disappointed that no side veg/potatoes were included as pricey. Stand out here us the friendly service and knowledgeable staff
Beautiful food, lovely atmosphere, friendly staff who were very attentive.
Loved it, great welcome, atmosphere and food. Hopefully we will eat there again before we go back home.
Our visit was brilliant. The staff were very friendly, informative and efficient especially Sean and Katie our waitress. The food was outstanding as was the wine, the view over the River Ness and the ambience of the restaurant.
Lovely lunch, great service, very friendly staff, especially bar man Fraser (I think)
Fantastic night the staff could not do enough to help Food was great would definitely recommend this place Thanks again for a great night Kevin
First class service and food. All round a very enjoyable experience.
Very friendly staff beautiful starter of smoked salmon and avocado
Food was average, glass was dirty and drink had bits floating in it, we had to ask for a clean one when we returned it for new one the member of staff serving behind the bar had an attitude he was rude and disrespectful throughout our whole time there! And for this disgusting display of behaviour we wouldn't return. The two other staff who served us were well mannered and carried out their role professionally.
Good but not like it used to be the little extras like bread and butter on arrival all stopped and more expensive
Staff lovely and attentive without being intrusive. Had the early evening menu very tasty and flavoursome. Fantastic views from location.
Ottimo cibo, ottimo servizio! Solo il prezzo un po’ caro… ogni tanto si può fate! Lo consiglio😁
Excellent all round as always that’s why we keep returning and it’s our favourite for food and staff a big thank you x
Lovely view from upstart in this restaurant and the service was excellent. I have only rated it ok because the food that I ordered was not really to my personal taste. I tried a starter that I'd never had before, but it wasn't to my liking. It was beautifully presented though. My main course was roast chicken, which again was perfectly cooked and presented well, but a bit bland for me. Point to note - check the menu before you go as it is quite a small one. .
Very nice food but service was a little slow even when the restaurant wasn’t busy towards the end of the evening. Happily return.
Thoroughly enjoyed our meal..... sea bream and halibut were both absolutely delicious! Picture of restaurant looks a lot bigger online, but this didn’t detract from a very enjoyable experience. 👍🏼😀
Moat enjoyable. Food excellent.: a good ranging menu for all tastes and needs. Lovely atmosphere . Our definite place to eat when visiting Inverness.. Have recommended it to friends visiting the area.
Lovely food, nice friendly staff.... Location is great, right on the river, if you can get a seat upstairs then do so...
Great view, great food, lovely wine and great service 😋
We had a great meal at The Kitchen tonight. Friendly and attentive service from all of the staff. Second time eating here and never been disappointed
The staff were lovely the food was a big letdown hardly anything on the plate starter and main course definitely would not go back
Starter was tiny and the chicken was bland I would not serve it to a customer I left hungry.
Staff were fantastic and attentive from start to end. Food was so delicious.
We got a table overlooking the water. Food and service were first class.
The food was absolutely amazing - our son is usually quite fussy but devoured the chicken breast with fondant potatoes, whilst the sea trout risotto was just divine. My wife was also greatly cheered by a lovely piece of venison. 2 courses, 6 plates, nothing left. Credit also to all of the staff who were just immaculate.
Very long wait for food and between courses, duck main cooked through rather than pink and a bit tough, as if had been left sitting for a while on the pass. At end of meal went to use vouchers we had got as a gift and were told they are no longer accepted due to new ownership and to claim back through mustard seed, definitely not putting the customer first in this instance. Staff very friendly and overall atmosphere pleasant however the inconvenience of having to pay and claim back money through a different establishment would make me think twice about returning soon.
It was excellent food and service! cant wait to return!
Was a lovely meal but very limited menu so I'd suggest you check it out before you go so you know you'd eat there. We would definitely go back.
Waited a long time for food about 45 mins, although they did apologise. Portions were small.
Delicious food and an accommodating restaurant, excellent menu, hope to return.
Lovely table, great service. Food was also excellent. Stunning setting.
Excellent, lovely and friendly staff. Especially Lisa, Food was exceptional x
Absolutely fab meal .. amazing food and Super service . Will definitely be back
everything was fine, but being on the top floor it was a bit hot.
Lovely food and friendly staff. Meal prices were very reasonable.
Gr8 food, excellent pleasant service & accommodated a special request re seating. Highly recommended !
Only issue was 3 of our party had rump steak and all agreed it was very tasty but slightly tough! Everything else excellent. Great window table as requested - thank you. Staff are super.
We were at the Kitchen for lunch and experienced great service and excellent food.
Excellent experience. All four of us thoroughly enjoyed the food and the staff were brilliant. We'll be back very soon.
Nice restaurant with lovely view. Good food and quick service
We were so disappointed with our visit. At no point during the entire booking process were we told our table had a time limit. I received a phone call on the afternoon of my booking to confirm we would still be going & there was no mention at this point either that the time was limited. Once arrived & seated no one mentioned a time limit to us. We ordered starters & mains. After receiving our starters the service was very slow, waiting a while between courses which we were happy to do. After receiving the mains, no one came to check on us & some of our party were wanting sauces. Before our mains were even cleared we were then told we had to vacate the table which came as a complete shock & much disappointment as we were looking forward to dessert & more drinks. The fact the service had been slow & held us up was neither here nor the apparently. Overall it totally ruined our experience & put a complete dampner on our night as it was so unexpected. I wouldn't recommend going if you wish to enjoy a relaxed evening with friends. It's all a big rush & conveyor belt as they clearly take too many bookings for what they can accommodate.
Another visit to the kitchen brasserie in Inverness, this time to celebrate our 18th wedding anniversary, when booking a table requested a table with a view as like to look out towards the river and castle at night and with all the lights, its a sight to be seen upon arrival shown to our table ,complimentary prosecco which was a nice touch ,not a fan myself ,but the wife enjoyed, I was happy with the selection of beers ,food top notch as always looking forward to next visit 5 stars again
Friendly service, lovely situation, nice atmosphere, great food. Well worth a visit
