Alway good service and food always great, but was sitting at window downstairs and was very cold
The food was really really good, you should go there!
A rather limited menu. A nice view over the river.
Good food in a nice atmosphere Lovely waitress and staff
Delicious Sea Trout, cooked perfectly. My partner had Halibut with a hazlenut crumb which again was delicious, recommend.
A last minute booking - what a delight. My first time there - the three staff serving were all a delight - chatty and friendly. Going above and beyond with a table of youngsters with their parents - bring them paper and crayons. The food - excellent. Not only really beautiful to look at (very Instagramable!) but tasted amazing. The bread and whipped butter was so moreish - and we had to ask how it was made. A can see why my wife been a couple of times with friends loves it so much. Will definitely be back again!
Couldn’t have had a better experience. I came to Inverness with a tour and chose the kitchen for my meal. Coming from miles to have a special meal in Inverness and was not disappointed. I haven’t one thing to fault and nothing could have been better. The food is 10/10 as is the service. I asked for a table with a view and was given just that. I was looked after, as I was on my own, and now have wonderful memories of my time here. The staff could not have done more. I couldn’t believe the price for the standard of food.
Kids menu very limited, 2 courses on main menu not available and we had to wait a long time between courses. Starters were delicious, mains were ok. Staff were absolutely lovely and very attentive.
Food was okay, Service slow but polite Unfortunately, not all of the menu/drinks choice was available so the limited choice was even more limited
Great service, very friendly staff along with amazing food. Lovely river views.
Went for me birthday and the food rescued what was otherwise a dreary day
Our first time dining at The Kitchen. The welcome and service was excellent. Our server explained the menu to us displaying very good knowledge of the dishes. The food was incredible and we will certainly return. Only downside perhaps was our table was on top floor and there is no lift. Will know in future to ask for a table on ground or first floor.
Food was lovely, waiting staff were great but food coming was VERY slow
The only thing was it was quite cold for my 90 year old father. The waiter did his absolute best by bringing a heater for us but there was a draught coming from an outside service door. Food and service were great.
Absolutely gorgeous food! Unusual but very tasty starters. Venison was to die for and cooked just right. Deserts were great! White Russian cocktails went down a treat, soooooo morish! And it was all topped off and made special with great service and attention. Thank you!
Food overpriced. Service slow for pre-theatre. And I should have been told at time of booking that you were requiring us to have a minimum of two courses. Pre-theatre one course is sufficient.
Amazing food and service for the price paid! Will be back
Booked for upstairs table but wasn’t one available and got draught from door downstairs, HOWEVER, service was excellent, Food was excellent and price was reasonable. Will definitely go back
Friendly attentive staff and great food, it was our first visit!
Waitress was exceptional and food was great and interesting in a good way
Fabulous food, great service - all on lovely riverside location
Outstanding food and great service. What more can you ask for. A big thumbs up
Top quality, food was amazing, friendly service. Didn't think they could top my pork belly starter but the venison main ended up my highlight, cooked to perfection and good portion size. My wife loved hers too (smoked salmon starter and halibut main)
First time visiting. staff were very friendly and welcoming. food was amazing. would definitely recommend
Wonderfully helpful staff and lovely food although starter portions a bit on the large side . Delicious risotto and ginger steamed pudding .
Wonderful service and delicious food. Really lovely evening at The Kitchen.
Was my daughter’s 40th birthday and everything was perfect , the food, the staff, the service. They looked after us very well and were very patient with my two granddaughters who loved their time there as well
The staff and service were very good, with a member of the staff making sure we were warm enough. The general standard of food as very good and the cleanliness of the establishment including the toilets was excellent.
often go there when we visit Inverness, food and service always good
Amazing food, reasonable prices, great staff. Will be returning soon
The food was excellent. My only complaint, we had was it was cold , there was only a small plug in heater to heat the down stairs section of the restaurant. We did mention it to our server but there was no solution.
Thoroughly enjoyed the excellent three courses and very good service. Lovely views overlooking the river. Would highly recommend a visit.
Great view across the river from table . Service friendly, helpful, and efficient . . Food portions adequate and well presented - meat eaters thoroughly enjoyed food . Beetroot vegetarian main course - insubstantial and disappointing . Overall an enjoyable experience.
Told on arrival that we HAVE TO have a minimum of 2 courses from their set lunch menu at £22.50 a head - certainly wasn’t aware from their website that this would be ‘mandatory’ & not so keen on the tone it immediately set in terms of customer choice. Most places will accommodate single courses if that was all the customer wanted. Some people, for example more elderly customers, are not necessarily able to eat multiple courses. However, on this occasion, this wouldn’t have been a problem in itself. Then we’re told 2 out of the 5 main courses incur a further £5 supplement (so it’s actually £27.50 a head), & one of the remaining 3 non-supplement options is not even available (blade of beef replaced by chicken, a much cheaper option). So the upshot is a diminishing range of options for an increasing that we ultimately felt rather restricted & misled. The food itself was fine, though the mains portions felt a little stingy - a few more veg wouldn’t go amiss.
Nous avons été vraiment satisfaits de notre soirée. Tant par le service que la qualité de la cuisine. Un grand merci à toute l’équipe.
Great staff esp Damon. Lovely food. Service a bit slow between courses
Great service and food was excellent could not fault it
Nice meal, fantastic service! Only downfall is they were out of ingredients for some drinks, other than that, no issues.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Food was amazing. Would visit again.
The tastiest food, great service! Lovely views Loved it 🥰
Good food , not rushed and attentive staff. We were on top floor more attention to outside aesthetics would have been appreciated
The waiter was very attentive - and gave us some tips where to get the next day in Inverness. The food was beautiful! Recommended!
Servers were great starters were fine, main courses too small and Turkey was very processed. We asked for more gravy and we’re only given a small milk jug that was for 1 person. Not good value for money
Great food and great staff...great place to spend with family and friends 🧡
This is a very good looking restaurant, staff are friendly and attentive, but , and I say this reluctantly, the quantity of good food let's the restaurant down. The food is good quality, very tasty and well presented but omg it leaves me hungry after £45 for 3 courses. I'm used to 6 by Nico so know quantity is not a good measure, but I feel that because these were small servings I cannot go back. Apologies Mr Kitchen but To he Mustard Seed win's again.
Good modern food. The halibut and panna cotta were excellent. However we had to order some bread to mop up the delicious broth with the halibut as there was nothing else to absorb it.
Food was great and the service was brilliant. Thank you.
Wonderful food! Great staff!! Fabulous vibe I Cannot fault it!!!!!
Couldn't have been happier with the service and good! Tucked away with fantastic views of the river the restaurant's food was impeccable. Service was outstanding.
We often eat here when we come to Inverness. The menu and food are excellent.
