Great service by all the staff we came into contact with, they even lowered their masks so we could lip-read them. Booking a table was so much easier with Quandoo and we will use this service and visit the Farmers Arms again.

It were the first time for us to dine out at the Farmers Arms after hearing great reports and yes it were definitely worth it. The food was really tasty, service was fab. Needless to say whilst we were there we’ve booked again with my children this time. Amazing food would definitely recommend

Arrived to a packed pub full of people attending a baby shower. Was asked if we could eat in one of the querky outdoor sheds and agreed to do so. Turned out to be a mistake as it was freezing with no heating and a chilly wind blowing in. Had to then wait a while for service. Being a Sunday we were disappointed to find that the menu only offered was for Sunday lunches. Drinks arrived but instead of receiving a pot of tea to warm us up, we were given two cups of hot water, a teabag for each, long latte spoons and a pot of milk. On asking why we were advised that all the tea pots were being used elsewhere. We then had to ask for sugar and they again had to go indoors to find some for us. This was given, not in a container and the sachets were handed over directly. The lunches themselves were tasty but the mashed potato tasted as though it was instant. My partner however was disappointed with the vegan option as it appeared to be a single vegan burger. No one came to see how the meals were or to ask if we required additional drinks which was compounded by having to wait for service and ordering sweets. The waiter then said there was no menu for the sweets and on giving the options there were no hot ones (on a Sunday?) The sweets ordered were okay, chocolate fudge cake and biscoff cheesecake but there was no offer to include cream, ice cream etc. Prices for the drinks were fair but the meal ones were not worth what was offered especially the vegan Sunday lunch. Would we go again? Not on a Sunday especially with a baby shower taking over most of the place.

We booked the Farmers Arms as part of the Eat out to help out campaign and already checked out the 3 course menu before we went. Various friends had shared the food photos on Facebook so already knew it was going to a tough choice between Steak pie and Haddock. The fish was perfect. I must admit after cod and salmon fish cakes to start I struggled to finish my Eton Mess but I managed it - delicious! Fantastic staff and service was quick but we went at 4pm so it was a quieter time of day. We will be back!

This place is like a tardis once you get inside, the atmosphere and ambience was lovely and relaxed. The staff cannot do enough for you and were extremely attentive. The food was delicious and enjoyed by all, there were three of us in our party and we all had something different and all thought our meals were equally good. The only thing that let them down was the toilets, there was no hand drying facilities in the ladies (despite there being a hand dryer which wasn’t working and a paper towel holder with no paper in it) and my husband remarked that there was a bucket under the urinals in the men’s which wasn’t pleasant. I should imagine that these will be sorted though so don’t let it put you off visiting!
