Lovely food at the Chequers as always. Busy bar with good atmosphere.

First in the dining room for lunch and placed in corner table for two - next group of 4 adults to come in in placed next to us about 2 feet away although no one else in dining room. The party were extremely loud with no consideration for their fellow diners! Left with headaches and ringing in the ears.... however food was excellent.

Always reliable! Great food, great atmosphere and a pleasant, chatty host. Never fails to impress.

Food was good but had to sit next to someone with a large smelly dog they left half way through our meal then another couple with a large dog turned up and sat next to us a bit off putting.

Table where we sat was next to the entrance to the restaurant with another table close by, there was not enough room for customers to get past meaning people had to squeeze through. Everything else was very good and I will be going again.

The wrap was very large and too big a portion for lunch. The pork bap was also large and difficult to eat without it going everywhere. Whilst the team were very friendly we had paid the blond guy and were asked to pay again by a chef looking guy.

I was trying to impress some Danish visitors - and impressed they were! They said kit was very "hygge" with excellent food.
