Red Onion

Fresh delicious food. We had the 3 course pre theatre meal, could not fault. Service fantastic, staff wonderful, and some lovely music - so nice to listen to throughout our meal, please don’t change this. Excellent all round, we can’t wait to come back!

Staff were fantastic from first engagement until we left. Made to feel so relaxed with perfect service . We will be back., thank you.

Food was lovely and the staff were very friendly but carpet on the stairs and the leather on the seats needs replaced, looks tired. We were out for our anniversary but two courses and coffee and were out in an hour, felt we were rushed.

We had a very enjoyable evening as always at Red Onion. We shall certainly be back soon!

Excellent restaurant à Glasgow. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié l'accueil et les plats de Red Onion.Nous avons pris le canard et le poulet. La cuisson du canard était parfaite et la sauce accompagnant le poulet, ail et citron, excellente. Le service était parfait et le personnel très agréable. nous recommandons vivement.

My friends and I had a lovely meal today in the Red Onion. The staff were really nice and welcoming and we would definitely all come back again. again.

Been a few times to Red Onion with the itison deal great value for money , the food is lovely and good sized portions. Will definitely need to try going and eating from the a la carte menu . Staff are all lovely

Even although we had a voucher, the food was fab and the staff extremely friendly and welcoming. First time we've visited but we'll definitely be back.

Lunch today was excellent. Very good, friendly service and delicious food for a reasonable price. Highly recommended.

The food was rather disappointing and dull for the price. The soup wasn't particularly hot. Fishcakes a bit dry. The vegan menu relied too much on fake meat type of food. It was just a bit uninspiring and a bit canteen like. The service was ok. Don't think I'd visit again.

They are a lovely bunch working there and the chef is fabulous. They cater for everyone- I’m vegan and my friend is gluten intolerant. We both had lovely food

Food was delicious and portion sizes generous. Server was extremely friendly, very efficient and very helpful. We were served promptly for all courses. Value for money was excellent considering the quality of the food. Nice touch to see John in the restaurant chatting to customers. Only downside was that there was a birthday celebration at one of the larger tables who were on the noisy side, so made it difficult for us to sometimes hear each other properly. However, this was not the fault of the restaurant and has not stopped us recommending the restaurant to others. We would definitely return.

Food and service were great. Staff were attentive and they have a large selection of gluten free food.

We didn’t realise the restaurant would wind down so early (before 8.00pm. Not sure if this is typical or because Scotland were playing in the Euros!

We often use the Red Onion for dining out as it is not too formal, the service is efficient, friendly but not in your face, not too noisy and the food is always good.

Very attractive restaurant with a pleasant ambiance. Good menu offerings. Courteous staff, but once I was seated and the place got busier, it was like I did not exist anymore. It was difficult to get anyone's attention when I wanted more water, some lemon for my fish, etc. A solo diner needs as much attention as larger parties!

A regular spot of ours and never lets us down.Good quality food and lovely service at a reasonable price.Only slight let down was the fact that the restaurant was empty barring us by 9.30 and we felt obliged to leave although the staff didn’t hassle us in any manner.

Second visit, fabulous food, great service. Look forward to our next visit.

Absolutely brilliant little hidden gem. Will deffo be back here. Got a wowcher as a present and I never even heard of this place. Booked it and turned up 30 mins Early but was not a problem for the staff. Food was 10/10. Staff 10/10. Needless to say I will deffo be back every time I come up to Glasgow.
