Had an excellent meal with friends and thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

Lovely staff and restaurant. Food was delicious. Dog friendly outside which was nice to see and owners kept them at their tables to not begrudge other customers.

The food was absolutely lovely and the Italian craft beer they have is really interesting. I had the parmigiana to start and the gnocchi for mains, which does come with actual nuts on it, I just picked them out, and I got cheese on mine which was incredible. So rich and tasty. I would like to go back. The service was good, quick, just a couple of comments where one waiter burped very loudly quite close to me which wasn't very nice and they automatically add a tip onto the receipt which always makes me feel uncomfortable and I feel is unnecessary in this country.

Food was not nice and the manager was shouting at staff in a full room of customers. Cutlery was dirty and there appeared to be a bad atmosphere in the restaurant. This is the worst Piccolino restaurant I have been too.

First time we had been to piccolino and the food and service was great venison with pasta was for me a first really enjoyable and my wife's salmon was cooked perfectly we will definitely be back 👌

Zuppetina do Pesce was exceptional, sea bass was superb, wine from the family’s vineyard was like having lunch by a canal in Venice, staff were lovely, absolutely recommended.

The servers were friendly although when we ordered cocktails, they did take a very long time to arrive, about 20 minutes. The food was really nice, I would go back honestly.

Mad busy day in a heatwave but the staff managed to deliver superb food in a timely fashion. The noise level was a little high, but given how busy it was, this was completely forgiven when the wonderful food turned up - thanks!

Thought it was piccolinos the restaurant chain but on arrival found out it just got the same name. Food was ok, limited drinks and food menu. Only 1 shared toilet next to the kitchen, strange.

This restaurant was fab. It was my partners birthday and they helped make it special. The staff were all attentive and really make our day. the food was amazing especially the desserts. We hope to go back soon

This place never disappoints! The service from Leonardo and the team yesterday was exceptional as always. 1st week in tier 3 and wanted to come and support this amazing restaurant again. We sat inside for food, I had the bruschetta miste for starters as I love aubergines followed by their porcini risotto with a side of garlic mushrooms and garlic bread. Food was hot, flavoursome and the portion sizes were great! Friends had the soup or meatballs to start and then lasagne or carbonara. We then sat outside and enjoyed a few limoncellos alongside a few beers and bottles of wine. Nothing was too much trouble from the team, they were very attentive and friendly. A great 1st choice of venue to visit now the restrictions have eased a little.

Excellent friendly service. The mushroom soup starter was "souperb"🙂 Both our pasta dishes were delicious and dessert was v good. A 1st class lunch.

Food was fabulous and great value for money. The lights were a little bright for my liking and there was no music playing. It wasn't especially busy (because of COVID) so it needed some music to give a bit of atmosphere

Had a delicious meal, served with great care and superb attention from Gianvito. We had two delicious courses with lovely wine. Enjoyed the spritz aperitifs too. Would’ve stayed for dessert too but there’s no savoury option and we’re all cheese or other savoury people. We had originally booked for a special event evening but on arrival discovered it wasn’t happening - had a great meal anyway. Looking forward to our next visit.

We had a lovely time at Piccolino's! The food was good, very generous portions and lots of choice. I wish I'd had room for dessert as they sounded delicious! It was strange ordering and paying through the app but nonetheless simple and the staff were very good at explaining the system to us, especially Consuela who was very attentive and friendly. We're only visiting Edinburgh for a few days but I'd definitely come back here again and would highly recommend!

I enjoyed my visit and my lunch and I'm sure I'll be back. I was a bit confused by the app ordering process, and in particular I couldn't understand how the staff knew who the order came from. I got everything I ordered so all was fine, but clearer instructiins would have made me feel more confident.

Amazing food and amazing service. We have returned here several times and will definitely be back again soon. Food is fresh and authentic, the starters are so good I had to ask them to downsize my main course because it would have been a sin to waste any of it. We have never come away hungry. My kids enjoy the pasta bolognaise and the carbonara, while my husband loves the lasagna and I love the venison pasta dish. I will always recommend the meatballs as a starter because the sauce is out of this world. Our waiter G always gives us the warmest and most pleasant welcome. He is so attentive and we always have a relaxed and comical chat with him. He’s always very busy but takes the time to make our experience unique. The atmosphere is always welcoming and cosy. There isn’t a bad word I can say about this place. It has become our favourite restaurant. It will always be our choice for special occasions such as birthdays and anniversaries
