we had an outstanding meal at the lounge on Sunday night, the bar was really nice and we were well looked after by Sam, we were taken to our seats and met Jennifer, who was very good, gave us great service, and the food was simply lovely, good menu choices and the food was hot and very tasty, we had a great time in a wonderful place, not too big and not too small, just about right, the whole evening was wonderful, thanks to Sam in the bar, Jennifer and Brodi, cheers folks and we will be back for sure.
As always, Lounge was welcoming and relaxed. Quieter than expected on Saturday at lunch time. Great seasonal Menu options with good range of prices. Looking forward to next visit
As usual all was perfect, suroundings, welcome, service and food. The reason for the 5 rather than 6 is that it was a bit noisy last night, but it was Saturday and of course no fault of Lounge.
Waited 10 minutes for someone to take order then waited another 45 minutes for our food! The steaks we had were lovely but the garnishes that were mentioned in the menu weren’t served with our order so when we mentioned this they brought them 15 mins later by which time 2 of us had finished our meal. Service will have to improve to match the food which was good.
Throughly enjoyed my visit to The Lounge, had a lovely lunch in a relaxed atmosphere. Staff couldn’t have been any more helpful! Will definitely be back for another visit!
Lounge is great with friendly, welcoming staff, a really nice surrounding and good food. the mixed seafood starter was lovely, steak pie portion huge wine list good. all in all a great well run restaurant.
I usually love Lounge food but it was disappointing this time. Buttered chicken was like a KFC. . Rhubarb crumble and ice cream was lovely though. Don't like the way the large leather seats have been rearranged preferred in the middle of room
Food was very good. Staff somewhat under pressure and appeared to be short staffed. One massive pet hate for me is someone else’s lipstick on an alleged clean glass, and dishwasher marks on our wine glasses. These simple issues for me are an easy fix, however should not happen in the first place. Attention to detail the Lounge!!!!
Had an enjoyable time at The lounge.Lovely well cooked food. Very nice surroundings. Very reasonably priced pleasant staff . Big Open fire very homely.Overall a lovely night.
Lovely food, great service, always visit before going to Millport. Usually have the steak pie which is always lovely, kids had soup they were both lovely aswel
The staff at the lounge are excellent and friendly the food is lovely and much better than other gastro pubs I've been too. Atmosphere is nice especially with the open fire
We had two starters, two mains, shared a pudding and 4 drinks all for 45 notes. Pretty reasonable. Good service, good food and nice atmosphere.
Been here a few times for lunch and dinner, staff very pleasant. I always go for the soup as it’s delicous, my husband ordered the haggis Bon bons, which were served with a homemade brown sauce. The sauce was lovely the Bon bons were over cooked, a bit too dark looking. I had the chicken burger, which to me was a bit on the bland side, lacked flavour. My husband got the battered fish, which we’ve had previously, usually a large fish, not this time, looked like frozen half slices...this visit was a bit disappointing 😕
Very cosy on arrival from a bitterly cold night with a log fire buring. Service was excellent. Food was amazing and was delivered promptly and exactly as ordered.
Stylish setting and good service but the food wasn't as fresh as it should have been (grey paté, greasy pork belly). A little background music may also have enhanced the atmosphere of the large echoing dining room.
3 small courses for £10 - delicious & great value. The cullen skink was to die for! Beautiful room & roaribg real log fire as always.
We enjoyed steak night. Perfectly cooked but not keen on the pepper sauce which was too creamy and not enough pepper. Kids were happy too.
There was 4 of us at the meal. We all had different food which was served at the same time. Food was great, service excellent. Very nice ambience. It's our favorite eating out spot in Largs.
Service was good as were the starters but the the mains were not great - the crispy cod was basically just big fish fingers and the macaroni cheese was a bit bland.
Dropped in for lunch. We had a wonderful meal in a lovely restaurant and the staff were friendly and very attentive staff. We'll certainly be going back.
Tasty food, great atmosphere in classy surroundings and excellent service. I go regularly always happy and good prices. Great place to impress someone or special occasion
