Lovely food, recommended this we will go again. Nice service from waiter.
This is what I imagine food in the Punjab region of India would be like effortless use of spices.
Food was delicious and service was amazing. Definitely coming back.
Prompt service and great tasting food. As a bonus there's a great pub next door serving some great beers for a pre dinner drink, The Brass Monkey.
Lovely meal, served promptly with nice attentive staff £20 each for two courses and a drink for four. Worth a visit good for the Festival Theatre
Had a great meal, just didn’t need 2 portions of rice...
Amazing meal with a great selection of dishes! Will definitely be back!
Our food was very tasty, nicely presented and the perfect portion size, the menu was explained with consideration and we would definitely eat here again. The mediocre review reflects our overall experience as guests which I hope was just a one off / misunderstanding - after 15 minutes of sitting we had to ask if we could order drinks, we were rushed to make food choices and told that they wanted us out of the restaurant by a certain time (within the hour)..no notice of this on booking. When I queried this apologies were given and we were told to take as long as we like but it certainly put a dampner on our otherwise convivial meal.
Nice restaurant near Festival Theatre. Good meal, pleasant staff, enjoyed the meal. Curries the tiniest bit too hot - we had the tapas so tasted 3 different ones.
Excellent food and great service - highly recommended for curry
Great food and fast service. Very reasonably priced as well!
very busy tonight but still enjoyed the meal lovely service.
Nice resteraunt . Fairly quiet which was a concern but we ate early. Good food, polite service.
The Indian Food was excellent, some of the staff struggled to understand what we were asking, wanted two new wines, still had wine in glasses, they were taking away and new glasses brought, paid for wine and didn’t get to finish them, why not bring our new glasses and let us finish what we had, had waffles over cooked very hard,
The food was so tasty and freshly cooked. Will diffenately be back.
Food was very good, maybe the chicken sauce a little too thick. Service was impeccable. Very nice experiene overall
Service was great, food was delicious, good variety on the menu. Would return.
Nice food tapas style, 3 dishes rice and bread was just right. friendly staff and a good price. What more could you want 👍 Thank you
lovely food, but felt that as soon as waiters saw we were nearing end of meal that they were almost rushing us out of the door
The range of food and flavours were fantastic and the atmosphere was great for a Valentine's meal. Sadly the service was not the best. Don't get me wrong the staff were helpful and lovely people but the dining experience took a long time as we had to prompt the latet courses. There were long gaps after plate collections and we had to sit and wait then ask the waiters (so many of them, outnumbered customers at one point 🤣) for the later courses.....but bizarrely the starter came along with the mains 😎 but I will definitely go back as lovely place for food.
Very enjoyable meal - would definitely return . Service was attentive and quick . It’s ideally located for the Festival Theatre. Priced fairly as well
Really good food with friendly and efficient staff. Enough on the menu to satisfy most tastes with a large and varied choice. Reasonably priced and Indian beer on tap.
Very good especially as they were fully booked due to the fringe - quick service and great meal. Would go back there again in the future
Excellent food, excellent service, their small plates are not all that small! We had pap pardon, pakora and samosa starters; lamb vindaloo that is not on the menu but was prepared for us, butter chicken, Murphy’s jadpuhri (chicken), chicken tikka Marsala and yellow lentil. Almost too much food. When you order rice and naan, the portions are huge and easily serve two. All of this, three 175 ml wines, one pint kingfisher lager and one large sparkling water and the bill was 93 pounds - very, very reasonable.
I cannot remember having a more authentic meal, the service was perfect also, We all enjoyed the dining experience so much we agreed to return very soon.
Restaurant was quite quiet when we arrived but by the time we left it was buzzing. Food very good, staff very attentive, generally a good experience
Amazing food and great service staff were very helpful and friendly I would definitely recommend. It is also just around the corner from the Festival Theatre so great for a quick dinner before going to see a show.
Excellent food and service. However it seemed very quiet and not as popular as when it was on Lothian Road. Possibly because it was a Tuesday night.
We found the restaurant by chance and were blown away by both the food, which was outstanding and the staff. The staff went above and beyond to help us throughout the meal, best customer service! Thank you!!!
