Gaucho - Edinburgh

Excellent restaurant, nice food, nice staff and service, enjoyed the night

Nice welcome, great service but most over priced restaurant in Edinburgh. Scallops were underdone and beetroot starter needed seasoning, the meat was plentiful but mediocre. We left a tip for the service but a £300 meal should be outstanding.

We felt special the moment we walked in. Excellent in every single way. The steaks are amazing, prepared exactly as ordered, and everything was perfect. We will be back!

Next level experience - could not fault our visit. We will definitely be returning!

Wine was delectable, steak was so tender, melted like butter in our mouths. Decor was enticing to a true dining experience. Staff were so personable an professional. A true dining experience

Poor service, had to ask to see meat, limited veg, brandy after meal only 1/2 measure! Had to speak to manager!

Visited munich last October and had a great meal visited Edinburgh with 10 friends in march and had another great meal tonight for my wifes birthday will be back again somewhere in the world

Steaks cooked to perfection, excellent service from Craig in a fantastic restaurant. The bubbly was a lovely gesture. Overall a greatfood experience which I would highly recommend.

Food was simple but very well prepared .Extremely tasty and tender beef. Extensive wine list but very pricey . However the wine recommended to us a Don David Malbec 2017 was oustanding. Service was impeccable, and we had a very attentive and knowledgeable waiter (Charlie) Ambiance slightly on the noisy side for our taste . But overall a very pleasant evening

First time visiting the restaurant, first impressions were incredible. Very welcoming, the decor was absolutely flawless. Clean and pristine everywhere. Each member of staff introduced themselves and were incredibly helpful and well presented. Food was unreal! Larger selection than I expected and was blown away by everything I tried. Lovely romantic meal with my other half. Absolutely 10/10, will be back and recommend to everyone I know.

I have been before to Gaucho and was impressed. But this time we had the Chateaubriand and it came in 4 big slices my salad consisted of a bowl of limp Rocket leaves my sauce was cold mushrooms never had any chilli asparagus was supposed to have crispy bacon it had bacon powder on the top and the chips were over cooked . I could not fault the service it was excellent.

Great from the beginning till the end. Had a warm welcome, and they were very friendly. Had a fillet steak, well it was the best I ever had. Very lean and tastefull. I Will definetly come back!

Fantasy as always wouldn’t go anywhere else in Edinburgh for steak , Great service great food fantastic atmosphere, Staff attention to detail excellent. Must try !!
