Nice food, unfussy atmosphere, quietly attentive waitress who always seemed to be there when needed. All at reasonable prices for central London. What’s not to like!
Started off with a great margarita, through an excellent wine recommendation, a fine pasta dish and finished with lovely dessert. I'll be back, over and over.
Excellent meal. Fantastic staff good value for money. Perfect location just opposite The Novello theatre where we were watching Mamma Mia would def recommend to everyone
Good service and very tasty food. Cosy environment and nice to go somewhere a bit different. I would definitely recommend to friends and family coming to the area.
great food and staff always there and very polite lovely place to go
A friendly and well located restaurant especially for theatre land. They offer a pre theatre menu as well as a wider selection. Very good service and reasonably priced. Definitely worth a visit.
An Italian restaurant with a very convenient theatre location. Next to the Novello theatre. Pre- and post- theatre menues. Good food, good service. Highly reccommended.
The website promised free wine with a 3-course menu. When we finished our meal we were told that we would have to order a la carte to get free wine. Bait and switch! But the food was excellent and the service friendly and good.
It ended up being very rushed so it was hard to enjoy the food. Our table was for 6pm but our main course hadn’t arrived by 7 and we had to rush out to get to theatre. Also one of our diners had planned to have main & dessert but was unable to beacuse of time.
Food was great. Drinks were great. The restaurant isn't the cheapest place around but for a special occasion it isn't bad. Quiet spot to enjoy a nice glass of wine and some good food. No complaints from me at all.
Light modern restaurant, good service. Italian food with modern take. Large portions! Cod tempura starter (delicious) easily does as a light main if you add a side dish. excellent wild mushroom risotto - again, generous portion. No room for dessert!
Amazing food and atmosphere. I felt so welcomed and the waiter was very attentive. They also had options for vegetarians which made it a better location to bring others.
Excellent food Excellent service Reasonable prices Very handy for the theatres Highly recommend Varied menu with some unusual dishes We will definitely go to this restaurant again
Not bad, but for the price expected better. Steak overcooked and lacked taste, partners chicken tasted poor quality, good wine selection though, starters of mackerel and tempura cod very nice!
Ideal location if you have just gone to the Theatre. Food delicious and healthy portions. Very friendly atmosphere with owner very involved. Love it. Will return.
Everything was perfect, especially the waiter (woman) was sympatic! We paid the servicecarge plus an extra! Quality + taste of food was exellent and we were exact in time for the theatre. Thank you!
Four to Eight was a brilliant find. Very friendly staff and excellent food. The portions are very generous and arrived just at the right speed. The restaurant is deceptively large with a lower level as well. I believe it has been recently renovated and it was well worth it. Keep up the good work and I will definitely be back.
Superb food definitely the best lasagna I’ve tasted in years as they say worth every penny... service was excellent too ... would definitely recommend... thank you
Food was very good but service was a bit slow, one of the starter plates was not cleared from our table until after we were done with the main course.
A very pleasant contemporary style Italian restaurant in the heart of theatre land in London. Great for a pre-show dinner. Food was excellent and our waitress was very attentive. Would definitely go back.
En fin opplevelse totalt sett. Det var god mat, og god vin og en veldig fin beliggenhet når vi skulle videre på musikalen Mamma Mia.
Our favorite restaurant in all of London. Consistently delicious food and creative menu. Impeccable service. Great wine list. In our opinion, London's best kept secret!!
Lovely restaurant - generally great food especially the pigs head starter and the chicken main on the pre-theatre menu. The hake main was a bit tasteless though but decent enough. Fantastic friendly service.
A very attentive staff and a well-prepared meal. A totally enjoyable experience. The mustard chicken was divine as was the mushroom risotto. We highly recommend.
We were able to get our meal quickly and in time for the show. Service was a little less friendly than I would have liked, but still good.
really enjoyable meal and time in this restaurant, the service and food was great and a good selection of drinks. We will go back when in the area again
Amazing tasting food, try the truffle pasta! Great selection of italian wines including rare ones. Great service and knowledge of wines, even willing to open a new bottle for just one glass of wine.
Can't praise this restaurant high enough. It takes my friend and I two hours to get there from where we live and we would happily travel for four hours. From the fabulous food to the friendly and welcoming staff to the cleanliness of everything, it's 100% brilliant!
Enjoyed the food which was reasonably priced (for London) and staff were very friendly and helpful. The one thing that confused me was that a glass of wine was served as a glass of 150ml. I am used to the standard measurements 125ml(small), 175ml(medium) & 250ml(large). It's not a criticism just an observation. Anyway it was well situated for a theatre visit.
Fabulous food, good value pre-theatre menu. Service was attentive but a little impersonal. Definitely a first rate choice for anyone in the west end looking for a mid range meal.
Great service and great food. I'm a vegan and was given several options for both main course and dessert, which is always nice and doesn't happen often. The restaurant was very handy for the several theatres (Aldwych, Novello), so perfect location and they are tuned to the times of their local plays/musicals.
The Food was tasty, but small portions and a bit expensive. Modern twist on Italian food. Modern and fresh ambiance. Staff very polite and attentive.
It's very tidy and accurate place. Good, I'd like say modern italian kitchen. Unusual italian dishes. But taste is good. Products are fresh. Very polite service.
I've reviewed this before so I won't go into too much detail. Great Italian restaurant near Covent Garden, best carbonara, I will return again and again!
Although staff were polite and friendly, they were rushing around the whole time. Main course took 40 minutes to arrive even though we had said a number of times we had a theatre performance to go to, which meant we had five minutes to gulp down undercooked food. Will not return.
Nice well placed restaurant in the heart of theatre land. Reasonable prices (mid- range to be fair). Staff very helpful, friendly & very knowledgeable about what they are serving. We went on a Sunday night, so quite quiet. I can imagine that this restaurant will get busy at peak times as the food & wine were excellent.
All good except Rib Eye steak was average. Wine was excellent, service excellent, WiFi didn't work. Very convenient for theatre next door. Would use again
We very much enjoyed our first meal at this restaurant, it won't be the last. The food was excellent, the staff very pleasant and cheerful, the location perfect for a meal pre/post theatre.
The food is not good. The service was fine. No aircondition so it is very hot during the summer. I will not recomend this restaurant.
The mackerel starter was very good but the tuna steak was disappointing. My friend had the halibut which seemed a much better choice. Nice setting
The food was nice but portions a bit small. We did wait a long time for our main courses. Friendly waitress. Convenient for theatres though.
Freshly cooked and superb food, lovely atmosphere and great customer service. Nice and close to theatres and bus stops. Recommend for preparing or post theatre meal.
Great service, interesting set menu, and authentic Italian dishes served in a smart setting. Good portion size, and had a nice buzz when it got busy with the pre-theatre crowd. Second visit and will go again.
Great food at a reasonable price. One block from our theatre. The air conditioner could not keep up with the unusual heat but we are Americans and expect A/C
Friendly and prompt service, delicious food, stylish decor and an ideal location for the show we were going to see. It was just a shame we didn't have time for dessert!
Have been here a few times before. Not quite so impressed this time although this is an excellent restaurant. Service maybe not quite as friendly as previously and no specials on the menu. Starters and deserts excellent.
Fantastic food and service. We loved the tortellini and the risotto with prawns. The desserts were original and amazing. Everything was delicious and the service was very attentive.
I highly recommend Four to Eight. We enjoyed top quality food and drink backed up with excellent service. All 8 of us, including my teenage girls, had a great time.
Food was good, service was not - felt we were not "liked" for having issues with the wine! Very miserable guy kept glaring at us throughout!
Very nice! Good food and a nice quiet late lunch we had! Service was seamless too! Def coming back! Thank you very much! Recommended to friends too!
