The food is amazing and the service is good but we pre ordered as it was a large table and i get it takes time to cook but some people got steak 1st and last for sides so if pre ordered better full meal to come out as one

We had the rib-eye steak and was cooked to perfection for us so tasty, the bottle of red wine is a reasonable price, will definitely be going back

Simply OUTSANDING… from the service and the wonderful staff to that absolutely perfectly cooked steak. There’s nothing not to love. Cracking quaint little place with a great little atmosphere. Cannot wait to return.

Great food, polite and friendly staff. Service felt rushed though. The waitress started clearing the starter plates whilst I was still eating mine, this is an absolute pet hate when it comes to dining in a restaurant. It then became obvious when I had finished that the rush was due to our steaks being ready. In my experience the steaks should never have been cooked until the whole table had finished their starters. When paying for a good steak this should not be the service you provide your customers.

Melissa was very happy and bubbly when serving us all night. She was helpful, informative and we had quick service . Our other servers (Grace and Adam) were also very helpful and quick at serving. The food was lovely. Thank you.

We had a very good meal last night and the service from Leanne was first class.

It’s a lovely restaurant and the food was great. Sadly felt like sardines with tables packed in and close together which made it noisy and not very private. A very hot day and no air con either. Staff were very friendly. However we were asked repeatedly by different members of staff if we were finished our starter which meant lots of interruptions and then when asked for the 4th time and said no we were told our mains were ready and coming out anyway … even although we hadn’t finished eating our first course. We weren’t ready for our mains and therefore didn’t finish either our starter or main courses. All in all felt very rushed. It’s a shame as it could be a lovely experience if staff were assigned set tables to serve, lose a couple of tables for a better dining experience and don’t serve mains or next courses when customers aren’t ready for them.

Quite simply an amazing experience. The food is simply out of this world, and is such good quality. Bathgate has been crying out for a top class restaurant and this is most definitely the one. I have dined there three times now and the quality of the food is outstanding. I have to say that the service is also very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Highly recommended indeed

The food was to die for. Best steak I’ve ever had out and the rice pudding was exceptional. The staff are also very attentive. The only improvement needed would be to make sure the white wine was very cold. I was given ice to cool mine which was fine and this did no way detract from the overall meal. Can’t wait to return.

My partner and I visited for the first time yesterday. Both steak 🥩 we had were over seasoned with salt.

Excellent service. Some noise from a toddler which staff apologised for but there was no need as have had children and now grandchildren and they have their moments. Owner very friendly. Will definitely be back.

Excellent quality steak well cooked and seasoned. Very busy for a Thursday night. Service was a little slow at times but staff are very friendly and polite. A bit more expensive than other places in the area but you definitely get what you pay for.

It was my 1st visit on Saturday night and will definitely not be the last! We all had steaks cooked to perfection, sides and sauces were delicious too. Wine was really good and reasonably priced. Finished with your cheesecake. The restaurant was very busy, but the service was great. We will be back soon.

Food okay, average, but well presented. The roast potatoes were lot less than fresh- tasted like they had been recooked from the week before. Staff friendly but bit rude by not returning change to the table from the payment we made. We insist on that curtesy every time- it helps to secure a better tip in the end! Inexperience showing? The atmosphere in the restaurant is cosy and pleasant enough. The pricing is high on extras. Such as a few small shoots of baby brocolli at £4. Won't recommend.

Food was amazing , but the seating is to squashed together almost sitting on top of one another and unable to have a private conversation , door open and the smell of smoke very off putting , pity as the standard of food was so good.

Staff friendly , however,food was a bit of a let down. Wife is allergic to peppets advised waitress of this but pepper found in salad with steak. However manager knocked some stuff off bill and came to speak to us promptly.

Food amazing, had the 12oz Sirloin and was cooked to perfection. Have booked again with friends.
