CURRY TASTED SO BAD IT WAS THE WORST MY HUSBAND HAD EVER HAD.
I took my sister for a birthday lunch to Cafe India, her first visit there. Restaurant was fairly quiet, staff were very welcoming and service was excellent. The food was delicious, great choice on the Royal Lunch menu and portion sizes just right for us. We will certainly be back and I would recommend Cafe India to anyone looking for authentic Indian food.
Absolutely marvellous meal service first class will be back again
Excellent food and service. Fantastic value for money at £7.95 for curry and nan, including soft drink, each.

My husband and I enjoyed our dinner the food was very tasty and the service was great we got asked right away what drinks we’d like then asked about our food order which we received very quickly. There was no waiting around we got served right away
We have visited several times. Food is of high quality and delicious. Portion sizes just right.

Booked lunch for my wife and myself and once again we were not disappointed. The staff were friendly and attentive without interfering and the food was excellent. Another great visit to Cafe India.
We eat off the pre-theatre menu, plenty to choose from. Fantastic meal, friendly and great service, great location. Will come back again with the family
Good service friendly staff good food all round a lovely place would recommend to friends and family good place for meeting up with friends or just a meal out
Very noisy and seem to have been forgotten, at one point felt we should have left before ordering.. Food very delayed and average when arrived...

Service was very good , restaurant was lovely and clean and the food was amazing. I’m glad to see that the standards have been maintained since my last visit
Always a friendly and excellent service. Good quality food and very helpful service. Portions good but small enough to mean you can enjoy a starter and a main course
The service was great, food was delicious and very fresh, we had the Executive lunch for £9.95 which was great value and included a free drink.
Booked a table with ease, and staff were very friendly. Food was excellent and great value for money
Intimate and friendly Indian restaurant located in Merchant city, Glasgow. Great service and caring staff, wonderful selection of fantastic food and drinks, and all reasonably priced. Faultless
Standard Indian restaurant good service one of many similar nothing to make it stand out from crowd ladies toilets need some attention not standard expected in Glasgow
excellent as usual. never mobbed which is surprising for the merchant city.chicken korma highly recommended.great service.reasonable price fo the city cente. We will definitely be back again
Great food, nice atmosphere and very Polite staff who didn’t hurry us.Would go back another time and tell friends about it.Visit was also very good value.
Ideally located in The Merchant City of Glasgow, Cafe India has a relaxed and modern atmosphere. The food quality and attentive service from the staff was exceptional. Cafe India comes highly recommended.
The food is excellent - piping hot, well spiced and very tasty. Not your usual standard curries - the pakora sharing platter was a particular success as was the Kerala fish curry. Friendly staff and nice decor. We would definitely recommend
Great meal again from Cafe India. Great service from staff, very attentive and didn't have to wait long for food. Will be back again in the near future.
Great food and service. Situated in a great location. Staff couldn't be more helpful and catered to every request. Food was really tasty and authentic.
amazing food. great choice and very reasonable prices. little waiting time.
Very good friendly and super food served well and the mix was very good. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone it was excellent very good.
The food was good, the atmosphere was OK, bit overpriced, for the size of the portions, staff quire pleasant. I enjoyed the Xmas music in background
The food was not as good as I had previously ,very basic and no atmosphere at this time of year The place could do with a revamp
Great food and excellent service in nice surroundings. Best in Merchant City and up there with the best in Glasgow! Good range of draught beers and the Zaykedaar is absolutely superb!
We visited here because they run a cook school and I was interested in what the food was like before I took lessons there. We ordered the pakora platter for two, Chetinnad Prawn, Lamb Balti, Pilau rice and chapatti's. The Chettinad Prawn was nice but the Balti was not the best, too sharp with what I think was lime pickle in it and no real depth of flavour. The Pakora was ok and the chapatti's were fine. Overall the conclusion is I wouldn't return as the food didn't overcome the atmosphere of the noise from the karaoke side If you don't mind loud music coming from the karaoke part of the restaurant and you are there as a group before going on to something else and not there for a romantic meal it is ok
From start to finish we had a lovely time food was great and staff very friendly we hadn't been for a while so it was nice to try it again
Food was amazing although hubby''s fish was maybe a shade undercooked, sauces on both dishes were incredible! Service was very very good. Portions very good too. Could not manage a dessert or coffee.
The food was lovely however the service was slow and not very good. When we first arrived nobody was there to great us, I had to go look for someone, when I ordered my first drink gin and slime line tonic and a beer we got a gin and normal tonic, our starters and popodom came all all together, my second drinks order I ask for same as first time and this time we got a vodka and tonic, we were also charged for this however I didn't say anything about it at the time as I was rather annoyed. Not the best experience I have had and would probably not go back
We try to visit Café India whenever we're in Glasgow (twice a year, typically). We have never been disappointed. This visit was no exception. Attentive service, excellent food. We just have to fight the temptation to order more than we ought to eat.
Food excellent. Decor not so good. Get some tablecloths and think about lighting. I would also consider the laminated menus they look cheap. Thank you
Service was excellent and the food was beautiful and great value for money, fab way to spend Christmas Eve!!! Will definitely be back soon, thanks again!!
Brilliant food and service. Well worth a visit. Try the tandoori lamb chops served on a sizzler or the amazing tandoori king prawns also served on a sizzler.
