Despite this app, we did turn up but wish we hadn't. Some food ok but some sent back. Best avoided.

The caipirinha and Brazilian food could be better... I'm Brazilian and I appreciate a good Brazilian food ;-)

Slightly disappointing visit, my first two choices of beer &starters were unavailable & my main, a seafood moqueca, was ok, but far from the best I have eaten. The squid, always a tricky customer to cook well, was a tad chewy, the rest of the seafood was fine, the broth somewhat underwhelming in need of a touch more heat & coconut creaminess

I really like the staff here, the drink selection (especially cocktails) is fab!

Good vibe, friendly staff who engage in conversation and discuss drink options. Only sat outdoors so don’t know what the inside/interior is like

Shocking...the worst service I’ve ever had in my life. Front of house pointed to a table when we arrived, didn’t even seat us. No drinks order taken. No menus provided. Sat there for 25 minutes being constantly ignored by staff. We actually upped and left...appalling service

It was alright, was seated at a broken wobbly table which didn't have a designated number and neither did the others nearby. Was eventually given the next tables number but the app to order is not intuitive so gave up and just ordered directly. Didn't order any food but the table next to us food looked amazing as did the cocktails. Staff are lovely as always but a wee bit frazzled. They do work really hard, they could have done with an extra person to help out. But guys prep your furniture first before going live!

Staff friendly but food not very good. Specifically seasoning of some of main dishes was poor.

The food is great. Staff very friendly and attentive. We have been many times. Love the cocktails Unfortunately the front door was kept open so it was cold. Then a group of 5 students came in and all sat in one booth. Clearly not one household. We did not feel safe so left. Such a shame as we were there for the night and were going to spend a lot

I don't get out much but I like this place.

Nice ambience and music, very cozy and warm environment but the burger i had was overcooked and very greasy.Didn't worth its price.Drinks were ok in general.

I like boteco, but ordering on the app was a hassle. Our food took 1 hour :/ will return again but hopeful there is no need to pay via app. What if you don't have smart phone with you? ....

It was good to be back inside the bar and service was good.

Amazing meal with amazing staff who continued to be friendly and proffessional in the worst of circumtances - they had just found out they would need to shut with immediate effect due to Covid 19 with no certainty on anything Will dedinitely be back once reopenned

The waitress was excellent but the food was not freshly prepared and instead microwaved, all Tapas came at the same time and were not great although they were well presented .

Had a Christmas gift from wowcher had infirm prior to our visit that we only had a recipe with code and were told to come along Too busy speaking to others and after twenty minute ms we walked out. Gave them the voucher soon as we walked in

Pros : Very nice staff-attentive and friendly . Wonderful food. So well prevented and delicious. Would have given it 5 stars but some Cons : two massive TV screens which we were facing and really distracting. Felt the place had enough charm and atmosphere and this made it tacky and really irritating . Will only come back if we got a seat near the window or say from TVs. Food was slow in coming , we came pre theatre and had to gulp it down. Would not have minded if later on in evening. It was lovely it was worth waiting for but something to remember if you do come pre-theatre.

Disappointed! Expected a “3 course feast “ as advertised. Staff not sure what we could order . Eventually told starter from menu not included . Got 4 bits of toast and small pot of olives as our starter between us !.Tiny ,Half -filled glasses of Prosecco. No atmosphere. Football on all TV screens. The food that we did get was nice but Wouldn’t recommend . There are much nicer places to eat in Edinburgh

Been there twice and cannot fault the restaurant. Had 2 excellent meals there and loved both. Big thanks for the service.

The food is good , service excellent. Will be back but hopefully if it’s busier with more atmosphere instead of just staff.

We had an amazing visit from start to finish. The welcome was lovely, the service great, and the food was very good.

Had a voucher for a 4 course meal and 2 drinks each! What a fantastic dinner we had, served Prosecco when we arrived, followed by olives and bread with oil and Balsamic, then ordered our starters, 2 kinds off king prawns, amazing! Then we ordered Bacalhau ao forno, which is a cod dish, it’s was amazing, so fresh and tasty, I had the Prato Baiano xin xin galinha, a fantastic chicken dish with rice, then desert! Brigadeiro,3 different chocolate truffles, so rich and tasty! Highly recommend here, staff were very attentive and helpful. Will definitely be returning.

We had such an amazing time! The food was delicious, the service was amazing! It was my husband‘a Birthday and they decorated the table ! After dinner we enjoyed dancing at the club! Amazing place!

Our server was an absolute delight. Enthusiastic and knowledgable without being overbearing! I’ve forgotten his name, sorry! He was Brazilian. Our food was delicious and we are looking forward to returning to sample tapas next time.
