An utter shambles. We had to wait outside for a table even though we booked. We waited for almost an hour for our starter to appear. Despite assurances it would be out straight away. After waiting another ten minutes,and still no food we gave up and left.

An intimate restaurant with character. Staff are pleasant and professional and most helpful. Quality high standard cuisine and portion size just right. Also with a good choice of wines and beers etc. Top notch.

As always we really enjoyed our food and the service The toilets could do with a little updating however.

Our food was nice but the meal was spoiled by the bill being wrong and then spending 10 minutes arguing with the staff about why. The customer being right is clearly not aconcept they subscribe to

We know this restaurant very well and have visited it many times over the last five years - in fact every time we visit Durham(we live in Manchester).The food is excellent and good value and we are always made to feel most welcome. Very good Specials board which we usually choose from.

Food was excellent, very reasonably priced. Shame the side’s didn’t arrive the same time as the mains.

Went for a meal with my Mum and Sister as part of my 60th celebration. It was absolutely gorgeous, we could not fault it at all. The service, presentation and food were all first class and amazing value for money. We will definitely be going back, and can't recommend it highly enough
