Really great evening out prior to a work conference. Delicious food and a nice intimate setting in the basement.

Menu had changed and you can no longer bring your own wine . Bit disappointing.

There has been a change in the menu since my last visit. I used to enjoy the special lunch menu which offered two courses for a certain price. Now the lunch menu is a bit 'pubby' which is okay if you like burgers, etc. Would not return for this reason.

Because one of was in a wheelchair we used the pub area to eat, which is a bit noisy, but otherwise fine we all enjoyed the food and good service

Heart warming food, well cooked and presented.Very relaxed room even with the compulsory group of loud Americans. A return visit is on the cards.

It was... ok. Waitress was a bit surly. Food was a bit cold but tasty enough. A few more veggies wouldn’t have hurt (steak with one tomato, lamb with one spring onion). Atmosphere was alright.

Everything was great apart from the little effort or charm from our waitress. A couple of times our requests were ignored, full plates were passed down the table and when taking our order she stood at the end where it was hard to hear her and vice versa whereas she could have moved around the table.

This is one of my favourite places for lunch or dinner with friends. It is cosy and atmospheric, the food is delicious - high quality, generous portions, well presented. The acoustics are good - meaning you can have a conversation even when there are large groups in. Definitely, one of my (many) favourite places.

As usual a good selection of wines and beer in the bar and new items to enjoy on the menu. The Cullen Skink was to the usual high standard and the bread fresh. We will return on a future visit.
