Been few times always great ambience service and best fresh carvery for miles prefer this rather than the carvery chains whose food is bland and quickly cooked, the food here is clearly delivered by people who are proud of the quality of the food and the service is always friendly and attentive

Lamb and beef absolutely beautiful.Service great smiley staff. Drinks reasonably priced. Large car park aswell. They also do tribute nights and you can stay there.

This was the best carvery I have been to in years, great food in a beautiful old building and fantastic gardens. Will be back soon.

We really enjoyed our return visit to the Punch Bowl. The staff are very friendly and make it a worthwhile visit. The carvery was scrumptious.

Booking was really easy online. Booked a table for two. Got there a little before time but it was no problem getting seated. Going on a, Sunday they only do a daytime carvery and no evening one. Although the pub was busy we were dealt with courteously and efficiently. The were five meats on and the chef who served us was very friendly. A good selection of veg to go with our meal and a nice choice of puddings after. The staff were attentive without being overly so, just right on all aspects of our dining experience. Would definitely go again.

A great venue. Food always fresh and enjoyable. Great staff always so friendly and attentive. Cannot wait for the next visit.It will be my birthday soon and there is only one place to celebrate.

Decent food though I hoped for a better veg selection and stuffing shouldnt be so dry. The pricing attracts an older clientele than I was expecting! The fact that you need to queue at the bar to get a receipt for the carvery, before queuing at the carvery seemed a bit inefficient, & wasn't explained by any staff who all seemed rather rushed but were pleasant enough. A nice enough lunch but my search for a fabulous carvery continues.

Fantastic. I cannot fault this place. The food is amazing and the staff are friendly and attentive. A regular for me and my family. Great for couples or families for romantic meals or big parties 😄😄😄😄

Has to be one of the best carvery meals we have had and will definitely be returning soon. Well worth a visit for great food.

Very nice setting friendly service food excellent as much as you want not restricted to a few slices of meat . Nothing too much trouble will definitely use again

We booked for five persons for the AGA roast . We were never advised that we couldn't return to Carvery for more . We only had small portions to try various meats on offer . Disappointed . The Down is a much better alternative

Really enjoyed our meal at the Olde Punchbowl Inn. Service was also very good, The restaurant was also very busy with customers which does give a good impression of a place.

Very nice carvery with a good choice of food and drink.Some might say a little expensive for a carvery but you definately got quality for the money.We wil definately return.

We had a lovely meal, it's the first time we had been there and was very nice. Easy to find, staff very friendly, food and service was amazing. Will be booking to go again soon.

Friendly staff, good home cooked food, reasonable prices, what's not to like? Recommended. A wider choice of vegetables would be acceptable and the car park could be a bit bigger but these are minor points.

Nice good and a good selection.to choose from. Always busy here and it is advisable to book instead of turning up to avoid disappointment on the day.

Different days different chef's this visit looking forward to the garlic potatoes however these had skins on 😨 which is ok is they have been throughly washed, I always chew my food well so there fore I was crunching on dirt as the potatoes were not as prepared as they ought. Also veg could have been cooked for a bit longer quite crunchy. I hope my next visit has a different chef. I have been before & had excellent food.

Nice and relaxed with very nice home cooked tasting food. I think it was excellent value and we have decided to make it a family monthly treat.

Venue is homely, staff very friendly and welcoming. Carvery is amazing even food served from the restaurant menu is fantastic. Already booked up for Christmas.

As usual most enjoyable meal, slightly let down by the dessert! Other than that everything was great, can't wait for our next visit next month!

We did not go for the carvery but went for the lunchtime menu . Limited choice . I chose scampi which was over cooked and peas were inedible due to overcooking . Tasted watery . My husband and my mum in law chose the fish which they enjoyed . My husband said the chips were as good as unreal chips could be ! His mushy peas were very dry . I have got to say the carvery looked amazing and the place was full . Most having the carvery ! If we go back it will be the carvery for us all .

Excellent carvery, roasts were very tender with good choice of vegetables, great that served on hot plates. Staff were helpful and friendly and decor very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent food, pleasant staff and a lovely location.What more could you ask for. Only complaint is that the a la Carte menu was not available.Hopefully it will be the next time we visit.

Slow service, had to collect jug of water from bar, salad leaves brown round edges, chicken dry, no garlic bread, no time for dessert. Disappointing.

Disappointed this time. Turned up on time and table was not ready. Lady staff member very helpful but obviously busy. Told if we wanted cauliflower cheese to go to other service counter. No greens apart from peas. A little disorganised I felt. Food still excellent. Disappointed that unable to book in large function room as told not for 2pm sitting but people were at the service counter just like us. No one at the bar to take order. Disorganised!

The best carvery I know - as usual. P.s and I've been to many! We did feel a bit rushed with the dessert as it was getting near 3.00 , closing time. We decided to go to the local garden centre for a pot of tea and a cake. We won't let that put us off, as we had a lovely family day.

Very good food, although my wife was disappointed with the mixed fruit crumble. She felt it had not been cooked enough to her liking though.

Good quality home cooked food in a beautiful setting. Staff very helpful and friendly. The food was fantastic value and we will definitely visit again.
