White Hart - Ironbridge

Good food, helpful staff, excellent real ales and a picturesque setting by the river in historic Ironbridge. So why no rave review? Because we were there for a romantic Valentines dinner, along with quite a few other couples, when the management set up a party of 8 in the middle of the specially-promoted Valentines event. They were all jolly enough, not wilfully rowdy, but so loud that even the waiters couldn’t hear what people were saying. The mood was lost and the many tables of 2 swiftly emptied. We will be back, but next time perhaps the management could be a little more sensible when taking bookings and arranging the tables 😊

Superb decor service and food. Really great value for money presented beautifully, nice service, we were thrilled with our evening and every dish was well executed, pigeon was perfect, the duck was heavenly and the side confit with it is absolute genius, that flavour is huge! the pork belly was gorgeous and we opted to share a cheese plate which was lovely. Well done, you deserve some rosettes! We will be back.

1st class food served by very attentive and helpful staff,overall very nice experience,would highly recommend.Room excellent with view of riverbank,lovely and warm on a cold day, comfy bed,brilliant shower.

We eat and drink at the White Hart regularly and last night was up to the usual standard in terms of both food and service.

Excellent food in a friendly pub. You can’t beat the Sunday lunch here, it has to be the best in the area, well cooked, tasty and presented well with good service.

The service was friendly and the amuse-bouche and soup we had for starters were excellent. The duck main course was also excellent, but the apple sauce with the pork main course was excessively sweet. The table was comfortable, but where we were sitting it was possible to hear the piped music from the bar area, which was sometimes disconcerting, especially when the piped music in the restaurant area was in a different key.

I send customers to the White Hart ona regular basis and i am never disappointed with the feedback i receive. I had a group from Germany last night wh stated .... great service and attention to detail. food looked and tasted amazing staff were very attentive

Imaganitive menu plus great food, friendly staff, cozy atmosphere on a Monday night and not silly money. Good choice of wine and beer. Very happy!

Popped in for Sunday lunch after completing the Telford 10k on Sunday. Great service, cosy atmosphere and lovely food. Good selection of beers too, which went down a treat. Would highly recommend!

What can I say? Great food and excellent service. This is our second visit and we weren’t disappointed. We will definitely return next time we visit Ironbridge.

Lovely pub in a picturesque location. Food was lovely. I had the pork belly and my friend had the salmon fish cake. Both cooked beautifully. Staff were very friendly and helpful.

Another amazing Sunday lunch at what is quickly becoming our not-quite-local local... had the deep fried brie to start, the pheasant main and the cheesecake to finish. At this quality, £18 for three courses is an absolute steal.

I thought the set menu was a great idea. Hence you could have two or three courses. Great food with good service. A lovely Sunday lunch

Perfect meal in perfect settings. Staff were really friendly and on point regarding service and help. We went for the Sunday roast which didn’t disappoint! Highly recommend

Another fantastic meal at the White Hart, with the same perfect service, despite being a little short-staffed today (everyone just moved faster to make up for it I think??). We veered off our usual sunday roast today.. I had the pork belly despite fears of battling with a piece of fat with hidden meat slivvers and could not have wished for a better piece of meat. Absolutely bang on point, couldn't have been happier. My husband had the cheeseburger (?!!) but again, an amazing meal - the chefs here really know what they're doing with their food and will make every meal an experience. We can't wait to attend a degustation event. So glad this is close enough to be our 'local' sunday lunch!!

Lovely Sunday lunch for 5. It was my birthday celebration with family. Especially grateful to waiting staff who were delightful with one of our party who has dementia. Excellent quality food, beautifully presented. Will definitely be back!

We had two great evening meals at the White Hart, returning because the atmosphere was lovely and relaxed, the staff very friendly, the service fast and attentive and the food great. A lovely experience both times.

Great friendly service fantastic food as always! Guinea hen was fantastic the wine flight really makes the meal as you try wines you may otherwise not.

Good food, good service, cosy venue sums up this eatery. Small menu but something on it for everyone. Fair sized portions, unfortunately did have room for dessert.

My husband enjoyed his food. I didn’t enjoy mine sadly, first course was too salty and second wasn’t warm enough, not sure we’ll go again.

Lovely Restuarant, very nice ambiance, the food was excellent. All of staff were friendly and professional, would thoroughly recommend this restaurant and would not hesititate to return.

Had a nice 3 course meal here. Good service. The only negative was the portion sizes were very small, but very delicious so we needed the three courses, which is quite unusual for us as we can normally only manage 2. Hence 4 instead of 5 stars

I have eaten in the top restaurants in Britain, Gordon Ramsey, Claridges & Marco Pierre White and the food in the White Hart is as good if not better than those restaurants

Superb food, staff and beautiful dining room with views over the river. Prices are good for the quality of the food, definitely not pub food, I have dined in top end Birmingham restaurants with lesser quality food and staff. Very nice!

On arrival I asked for a glass of prossecco but was told they had ran out! Our food was ok but not as nice as we had expected. My cod was very salty and my husbands belly pork did not have crispy skin. Not sure we would be in a hurry to go back.

Food was excellent, really good quality, cooked expertly and great presentation. The service was professional and friendly. They catered for my gluten free diet really well.

Great food and service. Bread very good too. Weekend evenings go upstairs - if you want it a bit quieter and posher with tablecloths etc. Think the menus are exactly the same.

The food was excellent although not enough if you like larger portions. We were told 'Thats why we recommend having the 3 courses' which is not, in my opinion, the right attitude. We should have been offered more vegetables or chips, which, lets face, it are not expensive to produce !!

Lovely location and attractive bar and eating area. The menu was well balanced and the food, which was served promptly was good. The staff were very attentive and the bill reasonable. We will return to explore Ironbridge and eat at the White Hart

Delightful and interesting menu. Staff, totally professional, on the ball and all with smile. A cheese board to experience and the setting we found so very calming. Will be back there soon. Regards to future travellers -Terry Bryan.

I've had a previously excellent meal here before. This time was mixed. For my party the roast was excellent, but the fish and chips was appalling. Not sure I'll bother again.

Food, ambience and service was excellent. Limiteted menu however enough choices for most pallets. Plan to return again soon and would highly recommend for that special occasion or just nice meal out.

My wife and I visited on a Thursday evening, this was our second visit. The food was beautifully presented and there was a fantastic menu that we had to chose from. The service (as on our last visit) was first class. Great evening, well done!

Nice location, parking difficult, food nice but not exceptional therefore value for money only average rather than good. Not much choice of real ale which is important to me even if not to everyone. Good atmosphere and good service sceptic for the occasional inexplicably long wait now and then. Nice staff. Might go again because t there are plenty of others to try first while looking for great value.
