Viva Mexico

We make it a point to eat here whenever we are in Edinburgh. It is a slice of Mexico in Scotland. Food is excellent, service was good and the whole place has a lovely feel about it. Would highly recommend if you are looking for excellent Mexican food.

We had a delicious meal, all freshly prepared. The service was exemplary. Food arrived promptly. The mohito cocktail was delicious. It was my brother’s first meal in a proper Mexican restaurant and he loved it. Definitely a family favourite and we hope to be back very soon.

My favourite Mexican restaurant and one of my favourite restaurants full stop. The food is very good quality and the friendly service has always been excellent. I’ve recommended to others for many years.

Food and atmosphere was lovely!! Big portions and we made the mistake of ordering a starter PLUS a main but was too full to finish our delicious main meals. Staff were friendly and attentive and overall a lovely evening meal out.

The restaurant was beautiful decorated so nicely The food was great and authentic However what let them down was the service Had to ask for everything and chase the servers for food and drinks One waitress in particular was very rude and kept reaching over us to grab glasses and jugs with not mention of warning or asking if we were done with them Left no tip as a result of the poor service and she was not happy about it, after what I would call passive aggressive service she became actively hostile and made us feel even more unwelcome Wouldn’t go back.

Two of us are gluten free, they catered to our needs extremely well. The four of us were very satisfied with the generous portions and we thoroughly enjoyed our food and experience we would definitely return.

So happy to find a place with food much like back home. They just need to add breakfast to their day. 😊

Great place that serves what I know as Mexican food! So, in my opinion, it is the only authentic Mexican restaurant in Edinburgh. Loved it!

Fantastic food, after a lovely quesadilla for started I could not finish my corn chicken flutes but the staff was kind enough to prepare me a doggy bag. We keep coming back to this lovely. Highly recommended.

Atmosphere is lovely, cosy and chilled, service was good, food is amazing quality for a fair price, the nachos are the best nachos I’ve ever had! The chicken burrito is so flavoursome and cooked to perfection and served nicely with rice and re-fried beans on the side. Easy my favourite mexican restaurant so far!!
