Probably the best restaurant in Birmingham, such a shame it has gone.

A wonderful find, lovely laid back with very interesting food dishes. Flavour & taste were quite exquisite along with paired down presentation really made it work as a seven course tasting menu, accompanied by excellent wine, thanks.

Food and service was absolutely excellent. It is such a shame that it is no longer going to be open in the same way. Looking forward to trying out the chef's next culinary adventure!

Brilliant little restaurant, quirky beautiful decor. Staff are fantastic. Best octopus I ever had! Just need to upgrade their choices of champagne and wines. We will return

Inventive, incredible food. Every course was delicious, with great wine and friendly service. Get yourself a table before they close and experience this jewellery quarter gem.

Disappointing food generally- overly botanical tasting. Bread and tomato starters with smoked butter lovely, lamb main dish nice but mine was still able to baa as so undercooked. Interesting venue but way too hot. Good service. Still hungry when we went home. Not sure how it was 'baltic'

Excellent service and great food . I will miss this resturant when it closes. They offer really different menus at a reasonable price that cannot be experienced anywhere else in Birmingham

We finally visited 2 Cats Kitchen and were not disappointed. The food was the best we've had in a long time (we had the 4 course lunch tasting menu) and the venue itself is a lovely setting. It's such a shame this restaurant is closing but we will be keeping an eye out for Niki Astley's food wherever he ends up next. Good luck for the future!

Great food and service. Loved every course, tried some really unusual ingredients like loveage and woodruff, cant praise the innovation enough. Great wines were available to select, we created our own wine flight! And the coffee is delicious.

Fabulous, great food and service. Some amazing flavours and perhaps the best lamb I have ever eaten! I look forward to the next iteration of two cats after its closure in September.

Two Cats Kitchen is a hidden treasure. The food is surprising and outstanding, the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The decor is stripped back at this small but cosy restaurant.

Had to visit as the plan to close in September tempted me to go and see what the food was like. Well, it was different - not all 7 coursers on the Taster menu were to my liking, but overall - very creative dishes that do seduce the tastebuds ... Talented chef indeed - best wishes for the future :)

First time we've been back there since they moved away from Baltic cuisine. I have to say the lunch was every bit as good as before. Excellent food, fantastic knowledgeable service and certainly good value for higher end, innovative food. No hesitation in recommending Two Cats...

Excellent food service and ambience. Highlights included the tomato raisins in tomato water. The dining room is beautiful and hidden away making you feel like you've discovered Birmingham's best kept culinary secret.

Very cool setting, nice food, good service. The first course (truffle custard) was the best of the lot. Would visit again to sample a different menu.

Fiarly interesting menu, but cooking not as good as it's been in the past with split sauces and ice crystals in the ice-cream. Service OK.

Little gem of a place and one of the best restaurants in Birmingham now. Every ingredient in every dish is delicious and most of the combinations have the potential to surprise or at least entertain you. This is my second visit, it's taken me 18 months to get back around to it and it was worth the wait!

Incredible food, service and building - a real hidden gem. Although the food implies that it would be very rich and heavy, it was amazing and not too rich or heavy. The flavour blends are out of this world

Very quiet when we visited, Saturday lunch time. The staff were friendly and helpful, even managing to write happy birthday on my wifes sweet dish with little prior notice. The food was first class, expecially the Lamb. Will definately visit again

Restaurant is up a small alley in the Jewellery Quarter. Small restaurant with charm. Taster menu was delightful: from homemade Sourdough bread & smoked butter, lamb dish, to a strawberry pre-desert, and chocolate mousse desert. All at a very reasonable price. They were very accommodating to my fussy eating, you just need to let them know 24 hours in advance. Will go again.

This was our first experience with this kind of taster menu and it met all our expectations. We had beautiful food in a lovely friendly atmosphere, served in a relaxed manner. The ladies explained the dishes perfectly. Highly recommended and looking forward to our next visit.

A lovely relaxed atmosphere, we went on a Saturday evening and it had a brilliant chilled play list in the background. Both waitresses were friendly and knowledgeable about each dish. We had the 7 course tasting and it was fantastic! Each couse had the most perfect combination of flavours with beautiful presentation. You can tell it's all fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend going! Stand out dishes for us were the Beef tartar, octopus. It was brilliant yo finish on two fantastic deserts that were fresh and not at all stodgy. We left feeling lovely and full!

Clever and attractively presented food and it all tasted great. Nice surroundings, attentive and pleasant staff. We had a lovely evening. I have eaten taster menu's at several Michelin star restaurants, this experience was up there with them. Very well done Tony visited 11/05/2017

Discretely located in the heart of the Jewellery Quarter, Two Cats Kitchen is a restaurant to go to for an excellent fine dining experience. One might not expect a gastronomic journey with the red brick setting of the dining room but looks can be deceiving. The tasting menu (7-course) was well presented and delicious - using a range of products from seafood (octopus) to different meats. Staff were attentive and friendly. Great service and food. Highly recommend dining here.

Nice welcome. The bar had a small but well-chosen drink selection. We had the restaurant to ourselves, and shared a bench together. We took the tasting menu with wine match. The food was excellent, bold and exciting with an interesting match of wines. Service was excellent: Caitlyn was very knowledgable about the food, introducing each dish and drink briefly and answering all our questions. Quirky but brilliant music selection throughout our meal, which would sum up our experience overall. Highly recommended.

Straight into my top 5 or so favourite meals & I can't wait to try again when the menu changes. It's also worth mentioning that my wife's gluten free requirement was no issue at all since none of the dishes needed adjustment and, with advance warning, delicious special bread was provided. I don't usually like taster menus as I prefer to choose for myself but all 7 dishes were terrific & matched each other so well. I loved the clever simplicity of the dishes - most seemed to have only 4 or 5 ingredients - especially celeriac ribbons with creamy parmesan sauce & octopus with sweet potato mash & olive puree.

Overall it was a great experience. All dishes were neatly presented, they all had a good balance of textures, flavours and colours. The waitress kindly explained every dish and answered questions. One of them even went for an ipad to show what vegetable was the meal made of. The place was an old decorated with industrial style. I took my husband as a surprise to celebrate our anniversary, it was special, we both loved it.
