Fantastic menu, every time we’ve been the food has been delicious and the service is excellent. Traditional, family run Italian restaurant that is well worth a visit.

Yet another lovely meal. Which was served by friendly smiling staff. Always a pleasure. Will be back again next year to sample the delicious menu. Nice to hear music actually being played by a pianist instead of piped music.

First visited Verdi in 1995. Was a uni student then, so was on a tight budget. Things haven't changed much. It's still a warm & cosy trattoria after all these years. My 3 teenage kids enjoyed their meal & the atmosphere. It brought back many memories for my wife & I.

Excellent and very helpful service, nothing too much trouble for a party of four ladies who had a lot to say to each other! Didn't worry about how long we took over lunch.

Great selection and service. My mum is gluten free and I have loads of allergies but we both had a great amount of choice. We love this place!

Fantastic meal at Trattoria Verdi. They gave us a table by the window which was good. Food was superb we all had steak which was cooked well. My only criticism is that we did not get as many vegetables as we have done in the past.

As usual the atmosphere, the staff, the food and the piano music were superb. I had half shell mussels to start with and grilled Dover sole for the main with delicious cream caramel as dessert rounded off with a foamy latte coffee and a "flamed up" Sambuca.. A litre of house white wine made the meal perfect. I thoroughly recommend Verdi for all that is good in Italian Trattorias.

Disapointed, previously the food and service has been excelent, last night both were poor. Unfortunately they have now discouraged from visiting again any time soon. Also akthough we had booked they didn't even take our name to mark us of the table register.

Good service and wide choice of Italian dishes. Cod Portuguese is a favorite but the linguine with tomatoes and anchovies was delicious too. Live piano is not too intrusive and adds to the atmosphere. Note service charge IS included even though the bill says it isn't - check the maths before tipping.

Always visit Verdi when we come to London and always have their calves liver with sage - very good and don't bother eating it anywhere else. You used to get a side dish of veg and this time, came on your plate. Seemed less veg and we preferred the old way. Different piano player from our previous visits - missed the usual one. Tried dessert trolley for first time - all 4 had different ones and they were yum. I thought our bill seemed high but we were with friends so didn't get the calculator out to check......reading below I can see that 10% was added and not detailed on bill. Leaves a nasty taste in the mouth about our visit..... Verdi - please show the service and be transparent with your customers. I'd be surprised if this isn't something you should be doing anyway. If we come back next year, we will be checking the bill - we shouldn't have to......

Lovely evening and great food. The staff were very attentive and made us feel most welcome. It was a shame that the piano player was not playing the evening we went, but we were told she had become unexpectedly unwell.

Our meal of classic Italian cuisine fully met our expectations, being well prepared and presented, seated in decorative surroundings reminicent of Napoli, with friendly attentive service and background music that enhanced our visit. We shall be returning to extend our enjoyment of the very extensive menu.

Authentic Italian cuisine in an old school dining environment. Varied and extensive menus. More than just Pasta and Pizza. Will definitely visit this restaurant again.

Good service, lovely atmosphere and good food. My friend is returning with her husband for Valentines Day! I would certainly go again. Lovely steak but Pizzaiola sauce needs more garlic and olives for me.

We've been using Trattoria Verde for our group's celebration meal for a couple of years now; we keep going back because we are well treated, with good traditional Italian food from a wide-ranging menu, reasonably priced (especially for Bloomsbury) and friendly service. They deal well with allergies and food problems too, which is a huge relief. We'll be back for our next group meal.

A lovely little Trattoria, right in the heart of tourist land. We have eaten here several times and always find the food to a very good standard, and the house wine is perfectly acceptable at a sensible price. The whole is now requiring a bit of TLC with signage and décor becoming a little worn, but the atmosphere and overall experience is still very good.

We wanted an early, quick, pre-theatre meal and that is what we got. The set menu was good and reasonably priced and the service was prompt and friendly. In the past I have eaten more leisurely meals there and they too were enjoyable.

Place virtually empty due to FA Cup Final. After being seated waited 10 minutes then had to get up and ask for a drink. Had to ask for bread. Waitress seemed very inexperienced. The poor audio system sounded like an Italian Michael Bolton shrieking. The place used to stand out among the many Italian restaurants in the area. Sadly, it has gone the wrong way.

We had never been here before but as the host, I was attracted by the longevity of the restaurant being open. All three of us had three excellent courses and portions were good. The space for each table and space between tables was very generous and the ceiling is high so the dining area was light and airy. We shared two bottles of Prosecco and had a lovely relaxed time. We shall definitely return when we are next in town.

The restaurant had a lovely feel with live piano music being played from 6pm. There was a good choice of fine food, which was excellent. Staff were very friendly and attentive to individual needs. An excellent choice for a meal while away on business in London. Will certainly go again when I return in January

The food was great in this family run restaurant with a wide selection of traditional Italian recipes. The only jarring note was the pianist who really shouldn't try to sing.

Not a very good welcome, and offering us a table in a back corner, even though we ha booked weeks in advance and requested a window seat for a special occasion . When I explained this to staff they did allow us to wait while the people in the window seat finished their meal and left. We were then waited on by a lovely lady called Celine, who was friendly and helpful and made our night special . Well done Celine. Thank you

The food was very good and the service unhurried but attentive. My companions rated highly the lobster ravioli and my duck with cherry sauce was tasty (both from the specials for the day). Good sized portions too. I will return. On a busy road, there is some traffic noise, but mainly it was fairly quiet in the restaurant and conversation was easy. We wanted a leisurely lunch, but when we wanted service it was immediate.

The food was again excellent, but one of the waitresses had not been or poorly trained as she tried to open our bottle if Proseco with a corkscrew without removing the foil and seal...... We will definitely return though.

The restaurant is tired looking and in need of some tlc. Food was nice, quite small portions though I felt. Dessert trolley is all bought in except the fresh fruit salad. £5 for a bottle of sparking water? Thought it was expensive for what we had. Wouldn't go back.
