The Yak and Yeti Gurkha Restaurant

The food was amazing as usual and the service impeccable. Pork momos are a must if going to the restaurant for the first time. They are gorgeous.

Delicious food, we started with steamed dumplings and then had Everest Lamb with Yak and Yeti special rice. Great service. With friendly staff. The ambience was perfect.

Very enjoyable meal at The Yak and Yeti Gurkha Restaurant. Friendly staff and quick service. Nepalese Pork Ribs and Lamb Momo to start were fantastic. The Annapurna Chicken was a little on the spicy side but tasty nonetheless, and I particularly enjoyed the salmon curry (Malekhuko Macha). I'd definitely come back!

The food was great - really tasty and well cooked. The service friendly and quick. We loved the decor and the plates. All in all we had a fab time!

The place was great felt very Nepalese and the staff were wonderful very attentive and welcoming. Food was amazing felt like we were back in Nepal.

Easy superb good food good service and excellent cost. Would recommend to anyone who fancied somrthing differnt from the normal chinese or indian fayre that is on offer.

The Food was amazing! Loads of options and variety. Portion were good sized and could tell everything was made fresh.Will definitely be back!! If you are thinking of going, do it!

Fabulous place, great service. Food was extremely tasty and well presented. Definitely book in advance though, it's a small, but quite rightly, popular venue so gets very busy.

Fantastic food and helpful, friendly service. It's worth noting drinks are somewhat limited in terms of spirits; plenty of choice with wine however and husband enjoyed the Burka beer 🍻. Reasonably priced.

Felt very welcome and the food was fantastic. Good selection of drinks and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. Very easy to understand descriptions of the dishes on the menu if you are not familiar with Nepalese food. We shall definitely return!

One could easily pass by this restaurant as it is up above another restaurant in Goodramgate. We are glad that we found it. The staff were very pleasant. The atmosphere was calm and the food good. This was the first time that we had encountered Nepalese food and we liked the more subtle flavours. I would happily return.

Amazing food! The combination of flavours in this Nepalese restaraunt were a unique sesnsation for the taste buds. Great setting with pictures of the mountians decorating the walls. There is even the chance to sit at traditinal tables on the floor (which we will be requesting on our return visit!) The team there were brilliant and even after a very busy night took the time to thank us for choosing to spend my partners birthday there and even treated him to a birthday cake! That really topped off a brilliant experience. We will be returning with friends and family in the up and coming months! I highly recommend you give ut a try!

Delicious fresh & tasty food served by lovely staff. The best Momos [spicy dumplings] we'd ever tasted. The authentic decor makes for a relaxing meal in tranquil surroungings. a great place to visit.

Loved the food and will definitely go back, just felt the chicken was over cooked, especially my sisters dish was very dry and chewy, lovely service and the homemade lemonade was delicious. We will return and recommend.

Super tasty food and great service. We visited Nepal last year and the momos were just as good as those we had in Kathmandu. Good variety on menu - will definitely return to try more.

The location of the restaurant is really convenient and in centre of York. The Food and service were fantastic especially the amazing Momo's, we ordered more of them they were that good.

Excellent meal, our second visit. Took friends, one from Bhutan who thought the food was very authentic. The momos are fantastic, and I had the new chilli momo (with lamb) and it was amazing. Can't recommend highly enough.

Amazing food! Lovely waiting staff and atmosphere. Recommend the Yak and Yeti beef, banana fritters (not too sweet) and chilli chips. We were made to feel very welcome.

Absolutely incredible I have eaten everywhere around the world and found this food to be my favourite. Lovely little restaurant and the waiter and waitresses where good also. Price reasonable but don't let the sizes of the dishs put you off very filling!! Just right in my opinion and I can eat a lot!!

Very nice food, but the portions were too small for the price. The momos were not worth the price either - not that different from dumplings.

Very friendly staff and fabulous food - very tasty! We were dining with someone with various dietary restrictions and the menu was very clear about allergens etc. Our first visit but I think we'll be back again very soon.
