Visited for a Valentines meal, Impressed with starters, main course not quite as nice as I had hoped but still ok. Despite both me & my girlfriend having ordered different meals, struggled to tell the difference.

Lovely food. Service was very slow on arrival considering we were the only people in the restaurant. Must have waited 10 mins before being given a menu. But despite that disappointing start the food was excellent and the place soon got very busy. I'd definitely go again.

Food and service very good. Unfortunately a loud mouthed braying hooray Henrietta on adjoining table spoilt atmosphere. Maybe another day it would have been a more enjoyable experience. Regarding the food the pakoras were wonderful and fluffy. The Everest lamb was very soft and beautifully spiced. It was evident that this was a very popular dish and the nodding approval showed how well it was received. Chow Mein was fresh and well seasoned. All served on quirky tin plates which added greatly to experience. As said previously great food, shame about the gobby local lass with the shrill voice on next table.

The Yak and Yeti is my favourite restaurant in York. Wonderful food and nice staff it’s a lovely experience every time I visit. The homemade food is a rich mixture of flavours, prepared with real care. Wonderful.

The food is amazing! the description of the food on the menu appears to be very accurate, enabling us to make informed choices. The staff are very welcoming, friendly and patient. We've been to the yak and yeti before, will be going again and we'll continue to recommend this restaurant!

Although we were slightly put off by the entrance and venue at first this is a fantastic find. Wonderful, unusual food, fresh tasting and well flavoured. Great service and lovely cold wine/beer. Good value too.

Great meal and service as always. All the family love Momo and the children enjoy the chicken chow mein and yak and yeti chicken. The adults go for the Dal bhat Masu and Everest Lamb- always a treat .
