Delicious food - spicy but totally different flavours to Indian food. Staff were very friendly and helpful with dietary requirements (gluten free in our case)

Nice food. Unusual meals. Spicy but not too hot. Reasonable price 37.00 for beer poppadons 2 chicken 1 rice and a mixed veg. Helpful friendly staff

It is nice occasionally to find something different from the usual Chinese and Indian menus. The Y&Y isn't the easiest to book into and rightly so. The food is delicious and the portion are substantial. Don't order too much first time round - you can always ask for more. The staff make a big effort to assist you with your selections and are extremely courteous. We always try to visit whenever we are in York

Excellent as always. Lovely food very tasty and well presented.The homemade lemonade somewhat of a delight. The friendly staff were very helpful and knowledgeable on the menu providing swift service.

Very nice food at very reasonable prices and very attentive staff . Tomato chutney was excellent . Had range of main courses including the everest lamb which was excellent . Will certainly go back again

Good variety on the menu, good service and everything tasted great. Would recommend the chilli momo’s and the Annapurna chicken. Our vegan friends were also very happy with their options.

This a place that is not the normal. It is a fantastic experience of , taste, smells and atmosphere. We can`t wait to return, when we are next in York.

We had our anniversary meal at the yak & yeti. The staff were lovely attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and some of the dishes were like nothing I have tasted before. A really good experience and I shall definitely go there again.

We went fri evening. The fiid was lovely -especially the chilli momos. It has a nice atmosphere and the service wss good - staff very pleasant. Recommended!

Lovely food, nice service. Starters were quite generous, main courses looked a bit skimpy but were just right. Would like more vegetarian / vegan options.

Amazing food a great change from indian or Chinese fantastic hosts allways make you welcome chilled and relaxed. Book early as it soon gets full.

Hidden gem in York. Don’t be put off by the small entrance to the restaurant - Lovely , authentic food at reasonable prices and staff friendly too.

Good service. Food ok. Lots of clientele even at 18.00 when we were there, so we assumed that they all enjoyed the food there - perhaps a little more than we did.

A real hidden gem. We enjoyed a wonderful birthday night meal here with beautiful food and attentive staff. Only a small venue however clever table placement resulted in us having an intimate meal for two even though the restaurant was full. The food is a wonderful fusion of Indian flavours, Chinese textures and of course the unique Nepalese dishes. We will definitely return and have been recommending it to friends. Thank you.

Hands down, this is the best Nepalese I’ve ever had, and definitely one of the - if not THE, best places to eat in York. We’ve been here several times now, and every time the food is exceptional and the service is fantastic. We love the Streamed Pork Momo, the Malekhuko Macha, the Annapurna Chicken and the Maasai Dahl in particular. With cheerful and warm decor, this place packs out, so be sure to book in advance. Can’t recommend highly enough!

We have been to this restaurant often. The food is always delicious and is just like you would find in Nepal. It is excellent value for money and we will return there often.

We were a group of 9. The staff welcomed us and were very patient and helpful as we tried to choose our dishes. The food was excellent, tasty but not too spicy for anyone. Service efficient and friendly. Drinks reasonably priced so we stayed a while. Will return again!

This is my favourite restaurant in York, extremely tasty food, brilliant service and amazing atmosphere! Highly recommended to anyone visiting the city or any residents that want to try somewhere new!

The food and service was very good. The waiter helped us understand the dishes. The drinks are limited but adequate. One thing to note, there is only one toilet which could be a problem at busy times. Well worth a visit we will return and recommend to others. The Everest lamb is amazing.

Lovely atmosphere, very unique. The we vice is quick and the staff are very friendly, The food I had there was some of the best and most unique I personally have ever tried, I will definitely be going back whenever I can :)

The food at Yak and Yeti never fails to disappoint! I took my grandmother who used to live in Nepal who very much enjoyed it. Would recommend to everyone.

Really enjoyed our dinner at Yak and Yeti. Friendly and attentive staff, nice surroundings with no unnecessary piped music, relaxing, lovely food - all tasted very fresh, we all liked what we'd ordered. Be happy to go again.

Nice food and good service but they need to invest in some new menus as they were a bit old and tatty! We would go again.

Friendly staff and very good food. Don't be put off by the small frontage on the street or stiff climb up the stairs. Restaurant is open and airy, you can choose to sit at traditional low tables if you want. Highly recommended.

The food is amazing and full of flavour. We have the pork momo and ribs to start which were both really nice. Defiantly recommend and will be back in the future.

Very tasty food but dissapointed with the size of the lentil dish, you need at least one side dish per person. Would go back again and order something different next time.

The food was great and reasonably priced. I had one of the lamb dishes which had a nice kick to it. The service was a little slow but very friendly.

Fantastic food, incredible flavours. Booked up so well worth booking in advance. The staff are helpful, we arrived with one person extra and they made every effort to fit us in and feel welcome even though they were completely full.
