Our first visit. Great service, excellent food. Highly recommended. We will be back!

This lovely Yorkshire pub with its friendly staff will wow you with some excellent food.

Booked for a birthday lunch, when we arrived we were put in the bar next to a large pillar and although we asked if we could be seated in the restaurant or another table it was not possible. The bar was noisy with a small but loud family, and made conversation almost impossible. Music a tad too loud. Waiting staff ok but not very welcoming. My soup was excellent but the Sunday roast was just okay, more flavour in the lamb and pork would have been better, Veggies were nice. Disappointing visit , but will try again in the evening for a different menu. When asked about our meal we said it was OK as sadly, it was nothing special.

This is a great traditional pub restaurant with a twist using local ingredients to provide a range of tasty and inviting dishes. Our group had crab soup, risotto fish and chips and sea bass and scallop ceviche all excellent, the service is personable and appropriate friendly too! As a price point it’s not cheap but neither is it expensive it’s priced right for the quality of the food. All in all excellent food and service and the right price not much more to say or you can ask for!!

Lovely food, but some staff very unprofessional (swearing). I ordered vegetable Thai curry & received chicken this curry! Luckily I am not a vegetarian, so I ate it (didn’t want the others on the table to be sat eating without me. Expensive, but food was good. We shall not be visiting again.

The only downside to our visit was that our table was too close to the kitchen and service area. There does appear to be a lack of space which does disturb some of the diners as other people and staff pass by the tables. A great evening, nonetheless!

We had a day at Ripon races and was looking for a nice eatery on our way home back to Doncaster. We will definitely call again as it is so close to the A1.

Delicious food. Unobtrusive staff but helpful when needed. Pub was very quiet so it felt a little lacking in atmosphere but we enjoyed it nonetheless

We were well looked after by the staff. We went Sunday lunchtime and the food choice was excellent with a lovely choice of vegetables. The food was excellent value for money.

Having driven past the Wild Swan on a number of occasions we decided to try it for Sunday lunch. What a delight it was. Plentiful, good quality food, a welcoming atmosphere, and attentive staff. If there was an issue it would be with the parking to the rear. Someone had managed to park making it difficult to get to the rear car park proper.

Had a problem in the kitchen not thier fault but put pressure on everyone so although starters were excellant the mains just missing something special. Worth a revisit. Staff did the best they could no reflection on them they worked tirelessly on a busy lunchtime

The Wild Swan is a warm and inviting cosy pub, easily accessible from the main roads. The staff were friendly and able to accommodate a family group for an evening meal. The food and service were fantastic. The menu and specials offered a wide variety of food styles. Highly recommended.

The sêating was too cramped. The specials menu was written on a ceiling beam the opposite side to the way our our table faced making it invisible to see, why not have the specials printed on a piece of paper?

Good quality food from a menu that’s varied enough for everyone. Good easy going service too.

This was a joint celebration for my brother & sister-in-law's 30th wedding anniversary & my sister-in-law's birthday. The service & food was fantastic. Ronnie looked after us and he was brilliant. It was our first visit to this establishment & we will definitely return & spread the word.
