Its been ages since we managed to get here. Booked a table for my wife and I and everything was wonderful. My request for a Single Red Rose on the table was done. The food and the Staff were first class and we will be returning for moor. Thank you again. Steve B.

Perfectly situated next to the A1, this was my 3rd visit in 9 months, as a stop over from travelling down from the North. Superb food, with highly efficient service. The fish dishes are particularly impressive and the Sticky Toffee pudding is to die for. Real ale prices are expensive, but that's the only quibble as this is a fantastic proper pub. Officially in my Top 10 of UK pubs.

First time visiting and we were greeted with a smile and our table ready. Our booking was for 6:30pm on a Sunday so not all items on the menu were available but the choice was still good. I had a starter of tempura prawns followed by roast beef. The food was really excellent, the only thing that let it down was the chilli dipping sauce that came with the tempura prawns was as if it had been completely watered down. That aside I couldn't fault anything else. I want to praise the servers too because they were great. I would definitely go again.

Access to toilet and exiting was a little difficult as had to squeeze between 2 people sat back to back apart from that everything was amazing. Staff could not of been any better. Fantastic friendly service. Food always good

Lovely lunch sitting out in the sun. Was great to be able to go back to the Wild Swan - a restaurant we visit regularly in normal times

The food here is usually fantastic. I know there are limitations due to the pandemic but they weren't trying very hard to compensate. The website seems to indicate a well covered dining area but it certainly isn't. We went on a rainy day and all they have are tables with summer parasols which are undersized and only keep the table dry. The diners just have to sit partially in the rain. The website also promised a much more extensive menu (Lunch/Early Evening) which in fact wasn't available. It was a very limited menu which was a disappointment. We should have stayed in Harrogate. I emailed the Wild Swan but have not received a reply from them so I thought I should now post my observations on Quandoo. Very disappointed!

Had a lovely, relaxed time, great food, great staff, will go again.

The table were set up in back per Covid regulation and there were pillows and blankets. Service was excellent.

First time eating out since March Booked the Wild swan, have heard good reviews and it didn’t disappoint From first class service to delicious food all reasonably priced washed down with a great bottle of blush wine . Will be booking again very soon !!

Food very tasty however the scallop starter and lamb loin & shoulder looked a little lost on the plate whereas the fish chips filled the plate to overflowing. Will visit again and hope a better balance in terms of food on thep late is forthcoming.
