Very slow service, food order got out of rotation. Arrived 7.30pm had to chase staff to get drink, served starter 8.15pm and main course at 9.15pm. Last meal out of kitchen. Vegetables cold. Disappointing. Comunication between front of house staff and kitchen seemed strained. Kitchen visible and apparently busy but unresponsive to requests from staff to speed up order.
Warm and inviting in every sense - log fire, atmosphere, waiter/waitresses & chefs. Fabulous food. Would definitely recommend & will return. Book in advance to avoid disappointment.
Thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Very good service and excellent food. Will definately go again.Parking maybe a bit of a problem as limited spaces but can maybe park in the road.
Excellent meal at a very acceptable price. Very good service and did not have long to wait in a very busy restaurant. Could do with a separate toilet for the people just wanting to use the bar.
Very welcoming and efficient staff. Overall very good food but, unfortunately, the battered fish was overcooked. If it continues to be as popular as it is currently, car parking will become a problem.
Enjoyed the food and drinks. Good comfortable surroundings but not cheap. Would deffinitely go again. Enjoyed watching the kitchen staff work. All the staff very friendly and attentive.
The dining room was very busy so we had a fair wait, which we understand. The roast beef came without the horseradish and the roast pork came without the apple sauce, we we tried to request some but there were no staff around us and our meal was getting cold. As we were the last sitting some deserts were sold out so with limited choice we chose from something available
Fabulous lunch last Saturday at the Wild Swan. The food was delicious and the service excellent. Would highly recommend to all. Will certainly be visiting again soon 😀
We had a delicious Sunday lunch at the wild swan! Reasonably priced too!! The staff were really friendly and super with our kids (who were trying to run a-muck!!) will definitely be going back!
The Wild Swan is a great sister pub to The Crown at Roecliffe. Decor is very nice, service was good and the food was delicious. Highly recommended.
Food good , charges for drinks left a sour taste , would visit again but probably stick to half a lager and keep the cost down
Food below average service poor won't be recommending it lamb very dry , dauphinois potatoes were very dry and bland , salmon over cooked , overall not a good experience
Celebrated our third anniversary in this newly revamped lovely country inn. ALL food was freshly made, hot and tasty. Service from young enthusiastic staff was friendly and helpful. Thank you for our free glass of prosecco!! Our only negative comment, like previous visitor, was the draught from the open front door..not quite a problem in October but definitely needs addressing before December! We would definitely recommend The Wild Swan for any occasion.
Food was outstanding, staff needs a little more experience. I'm sure they will catch on with more time. We will definitely eat there again, probably sooner than later...
Poor service. The waitress did not know anything about what was on the menu, what drinks were available and we had to ask four times for a jug of water. The white wine was warm. Its very smokey from the open fire. The food was average.
Food was very good and friendly service. Our table near the door was on a draft from front door so a bit chilly. Will certainly recommend and visit again. Only disappointment was one of Specials sold out by 8.0
