Not the first time we’ve been there, it’s always lovely food and friendly staff, what more can you say? Good value, very enjoyable.

When our friend Lily was visiting from The Netherlands, we took her along to The Why Not. Lily is actually Indonesian and a professional Chef, and she really enjoyed her food here and commented on the nice ambience and professionalism of the staff.

Me and my wife came here for dinner on our own (for a change!) and had a lovely dinner. The menu always offers a great variety of dishes, such that it can be difficult to choose! We both like cask ales, and The Why Not always has a couple of good ones on pull. We love coming here!

My wife and I came for late lunch/early dinner and once again had difficulty selecting from so many lovely offerings on the menu. Everything was perfect as usual and is currently our favourite restaurant.

The Why Not is a firm favourite of ours and we go fairly regularly. The food and ales never disappoint. Keep up the good work.

My wife and I brought our friend along who was visiting us from Spain. We had a great time, the food and drink were great, and the staff were polite and professional. A good night was had by all!

We came to the Why Not with our family for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The food and ale was as good as ever and the staff were great too!

The food was fabulous. I had the sea bass with crushed potatoes and a Salsa Verdi with green beans. The real ale was good. My family had the same as me except one member, who had the steak and chips, he was ever so please. I had a pudding as well, the Churros with a type of butter scotch sauce. Excellent night, but the noise levels were hard to deal with.

Happened to be burger night when we went, Wednesday by the way, buy one get second half price, which was a bonus. The burgers were very good and plentiful with a good variety to choose from There was also a good choice of drinks and the service was spot on. Would recommend a visit and we will certainly be returning soon to try out the rest of the menu.

Didn’t feel very welcomed by the one bar member, the older bar man. He was quite rude to me and my friend and I felt like he didn’t want to serve us. He also gave me a 5 euro change which was folded up, which I didn’t realise I had until I got home.

The staff couldn't do enough for us. Service was speedy and extremely pleasant, and nothing was too much trouble for them. To top it off the food was top notch. A great time had by our party and would not have any issues of having a return visit.

Service was pleasant but the food was disappointing. Salad was soggy and flavourless, koftas full of gristle bits, “oregano fries” means a bowl of chips with dried oregano sprinkled on top. Flatbread was nice. Lovely view from the marquee but I think I’ll stick to drinks if I come back.

After visiting the why not on a few occasions, tonight was disappointing and it’s safe to say, we have been put off with tonight’s visit. The toilets were really not clean. The food was average and the portion and standard of the “smaller” chicken salad was quite frankly, appalling. The salad consisted of lettuce, a few bits of chicken and a couple of croutons at a cost of £8.50. It was not worth the money and wouldn’t fill a child, let alone an adult, sad to say we will not be returning again.

What a lovely pub! We were made to feel so welcome from the moment we walked in. Delicious food, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. We will be back.

I booked a table for 6.30pm for Father's day. On ordering we were told there were no pigs in blankets or stuffing left. Okay. So we ordered our roast dinners. When they finally came they were luke warm at best. I asked where the greens in butter were and a reply of "oh we don't have any left," The meal was okay. We ordered dessert. 2 of us had peach and summer fruit crumble. What we received was tinned peach and pear crumble with bland custard. The staff were lovely and we did receive a discount for the pudding but we won't be rushing back.

Really enjoyed the food. Had the roast sandwich. Good portion sized. Meat was a tad fatty (but thats meat for you). Then had the brownie for desert. It was really thick, perfect texture. The service was 10/10, wasn’t waiting for anything, polite and happy staff. The scenery and sitting in the tent made the experience extra special. Will definitely we returning - I want to try some more food!!!

Young barman very nice, younger waiters polite, waitresss polite, food decent but older waiter was rude, abrasive and looked like everything was a chore and didn't want to serve or be there! Shame as The Why Not is a 4-5 times a year place we go to.. never met the older waiter before and hope not to again

Not good enough. Long wait and rude manager. Unimpressed with quality of food too

Staff were lovley and friendly. We ordered a pate starter which arrived with very limp lettuce and the pate had obviously been left out of the fridge as it was discoloured and dry. When I pointed this out it was exchanged Immediately. The Roast Beef was ok but the plate with vegetables was covered in lots of gravy. A shame as we only live down the road.

Really friendly and attentive service and delicious food. We booked for the 'magician', who I have to say was not good. Just seem to wind the children into a stupor with very limited (to say the least) magic. Would go back for the food and service.

Disappointed with our meal on this occasion .We ordered the sharing platter which looked dried as if it had been kept warm for a long time and was only lukewarm to eat.
