The food was absolutely wonderful , but the new manager created a horrible atmosphere being rude through out and then at 9.15 told us that he was closing at 10pm because it was quiet then staff started cleaning around us and then gave us the bill making us feel very uncomfortable and we had to leave. Perhaps you should change your opening times on your website, when my friend asked what happened to 11pm bring last orders the manager said not his problem.

We met family who had never been before & they were very impressed with the whole experience of dining. It was quiet being lunch time but I have also been when it’s busy & I still give the pub the thumbs up 👍

Food - nice. Ambience - lovely Service - really slow (and not at a peak time). Over an hour from sitting down to mains arriving. Luckily we had some starters. Asked X3 for bill and ultimately had to go direct to till to pay instead of waiting

Staff were fab Lovely greeting from the young lad behind the bar , quick service , food was so nice too! Really had a lovely time thankyou!! The only little thing I would say is the waffle dessert needed a chainsaw to cut but apart from that AMAZING!!!

The food was amazing, as the pub was quiet the kitchen staff were brilliant allowing one of our party to order off menu (we went on a Sundays and it was a set Sunday menu). This will be our go to place for meals.

I came with a party of 5 for Sunday lunch. We all ordered something different and all enjoyed our meals very much. The 2 young men serving us were very friendly and efficient

Haven’t been for a while as we had a not so good experience in the past. After recommendations from friends we thought we would give it another go and have to say all aspects greatly improved on since last time Well done all and please keep up the standards it was fab

Poor vegan choice. No plant based milk alternatives. Food is overpriced and service is merely adequate. Won’t be returning.

We had a lovely meal, food was great but when it came to ordering desserts we were told the kitchen had closed half an hour before and we could only have ice cream. Nothing had been said about this before the kitchen closed. We were disappointed not to have a dessert.

Family meal to celebrate daughters engagement. Lovely food lovely service lovely ambience . Sat in covered patio area. Slight issue with bill at the end but was sorted quickly and without fuss. Would recommend.

Food was excellent, service was not. I’d booked an outdoor dining table only to be told it wasn’t table service yet there was a larger party than mine seated outside and they received table service. My friends and I very much expect a meal out to be a relaxing experience particularly when we have booked a table and to not have table service was poor. We then moved into the bar area as it went a little chilly, ordered a hot drink and when I asked if it would be brought to the table, the request was met with hesitation however I was told that it would be. At 9:50pm last orders was called and we were then asked to leave at 10:10pm, it was a Friday night! When we asked why, given the time, we were told it was a ‘quiet’ evening. Now, I have worked in hospitality and one of the guests is head of communications for M&B, never would I or one of her pubs kick guests out before closing. We all left feeling disappointed particularly as the food was excellent and said we wouldn’t return nor recommend a visit to family friends. Better service people!

Good service, nice atmosphere. a happy birthday dinner for two.

Booked on line. Arrived to a very smiley happy waiter. Music was a bit loud, he didn’t mind turning it down a little. Ordered 2 courses, chicken wings and roast beef dinner, both absolutely delicious, served on a hot plate (bugs me if my hot dinner comes on a cold plate) My 2 friends enjoyed everything about the experience as well. Overall, absolutely lovely. Thank you

Lovely food. Could have been a bit more attentive when we arrived for drinks as the place was very quiet, but all good after we did get served.
