Very enjoyable experience. The service was both friendly and knowledgeable and we were all impressed by the quality of food and the variety of dishes on the menu. Recommended.
Gorgeous food but service left alot to be desired. Waited more than 20 mins for our order to be taken. That was after I asked if we could order food!
The food was really good. (Only had main course). The service was sometimes a little slow but both of the people who served us were very friendly. Would visit again.
Excellent service from very friendly staff. Good food and wine, especially the fillet steaks which were perfectly cooked. Reasonable prices. Will definitely be going again!
Very nice quality meal with a good choice of options, not so impressed with the choice and price of drinks. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff, will re-book again in the future.
Nice atmosphere and great food! We had the signature dish, which was delicious. Service was fast and very nice. Will definitely come again, maybe as well in the summer to sit outside at the canal.
Lovely evening. Food not quite as fantastic as last time but still very good. Service good and prompt - felt attended to but not badgered.
Food sounded on menu 9 / 10 and looked 9 / 10, tasted 7 / 10! Quick and good service. Real good location for the summer I think.
What a gem of a restaurant! Great food backed up by wonderfully attentive service. We will return when next in the area and would recommend anyone to visit.
First visit for us and will definitely be going again , food was brilliant all cooked to perfection, nice short menu not over powered by pages and pages , lovely setting by the canal , service was very good ,, I don't mind paying that extra for GOOD food , thank you
What a wonderful surprise - we hade a great time. Both food and service were excellent - great value for money. Lovely atmosphere - will definitely be going back and have already recommended to others.
The Quality of food was fantastic, however what it gained in quality it lost in quantity. Both me and my partner were still hungry after the main course. Also on their website they posted that two courses before 7pm was £14. When we received the bill it was £15 for two courses, I asked the very nice waitress about it and they said it was an old menu. Whilst the £1 didn't bother me much it would have been nice if they kept on top of it considering I got the £14 price from there website only 4 hours before we went to eat!
Fantastic food from the super tasty oxtail risotto starter to the succulent turkey main. A great take on traditional Christmas pudding finished off a fab meal. A good range of beers to choose from (no fancy wine for me, though I'm sure there was some). Service was just quick enough, could have been a little more attentive however.
The main course was promising but the side dish was getting cool by the time the main dish arrived. Restaurant decor was very plain, although the canal location doubtless makes the venue nice in summer. The staff were courteous but lacked enthusiasm. Overall, given the relatively high prices charged, I cannot give this restaurant a higher rating.
A nice intermit restraint with friendly staff and reasonable food. The portions were a bit on the small side for me but not for my partner.
We enjoyed a wonderful meal. If you like quality food but not out of the way prices you owe it to yourselves - try it.
Restaurant is is in a lovely location. The food and service is excellent with a great range of drinks. Will definitely be returning again for another meal.
Small, but interesting menu. Friendly welcome and good service. Our food in general was very good, except for my duck breast which was not. The restaurant dealt with my complaint very well; the owner came out to apologise and offered a glass of prosecco and we were not charged for my main course. We will return.
Really nice lunch. We were able to sit outside and enjoy the autumn sunshine which was unexpected at this time of year. Great place for a business meeting
The food was delicious. Steak was out of this world. We went at a very quiet time so felt like we had the place to our selfs. Defiantly recommend x
The food I had was very nice, the service was quick and efficient. The only slight downside was the limited choice on the menu, particularly the vegetarian selection.
excellent food, we had fillet and it was beautiful. I had the cheese board for one and ended up sharing and it was very nice good selection of cheese. beautiful setting and excellent staff
I was disappointed with the quality of the food and felt the price was overly priced for the standard of food. Service was adequate, only my wife and I and another couple were here. I feel this place would be ideal for lunch.
An excellent meal from start to finish, great service as always with food to match, the fillet steak was cooked to perfection and we even found room for a dessert, we'll be back soon as the new menu starts next week.
Great service and even better food! Had a lovely meal here after a recommendation from a friend. The menu is varied and all of the dishes served were excellent. Will definitely recommend to others and be back ourselves!
Great food, service & setting, went for a special occasion & wasnt dissappointed. Set next to canal & sat outside which was nice. Would recommend
A lovely restaurant located beside the Leeds/Liverpool canal. The service was excellent and the food was great. We will be visiting this little gem again.
Used to be ok some years ago, but must have changed owners. Restaurant dead, food pretty average. Much better options locally, such a shame :(
Nice restaurant setting but the weather let us down a bit. We opted for the lunch bits which were good. Also my wife and I went for the £10 shared mix of puds - very worthwhile.
Another excellent meal, and even though it was an unusually busy evening due to a private party the service was still attentive and there were no delays in our food coming to the table.
Th service was great, our hostess was all you could have asked for. The food was delicious. Will definitely go back again. Away for a month but later.
Food and drink was superb if just a little overpriced bearing in mind the lack of ambience. It was disappointing to be the only customers all evening but we did have the maitre d'it's full attention. The location and restaurant itself seemed 'temporary' and the surrounding area appeared 'tired'. Menu choice was limited but sometimes that can be a good thing.
Our first visit to the Waterside and certainly won't be our last. Very friendly and informative regarding our aperitfi's. The food was of high quality and very tasty, with a lovely ambience and views over the canal. The staff where attentive withoutbeing over the top. Overall our experience was very enjoyable. It is nice to see a top quality restaurant in Shipley.
Great tasty food, excellent service, with lovely setting. been before and definitely will return. The menu can be adapted to your taste with the assistance of chef.
Had a great night, food was fantastic, well worth a visit. Not the easiest to find but worth the effort. Parking was ok nice view of the canal, nice area to sit outside whether permitting.
Good atmosphere, pleasant surroundings, friendly helpful staff, excellent food the only improvement would be to add a couple more main dishes to the menu as it is quite limited.
Just awesome, we all had a great time, the atmosphere was superb, the staff were really friendly and the food excellent. We will definitely be returning to that restaurant again.
great food great place great staff brilliant thanks. will recomend
Lovely food and reasonable wine list. Fabulous outside seating for good weather times. Bit pricey but OK. Staff very helpful and pleasant overall would recommend.
Excellent food, wine and service, the triple chocolate dessert to share between two was especially delicious and the perfect end to the meal, we will be back!!
Good food reasonably priced. Staff members were extremely helpful, especially when adapting dishes to gluten free, though unobtrusive. The location and decor are pleasant and comfortable. I would highly recommend this restaurant.
Strongly recommended restaurant tucked away near central Shipley in a pleasant and quiet setting right by the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Another brilliant meal and evening, with no drop in standards after a recent change of owner. My mushroom risotto starter was perfectly cooked and intensely mushroomy, while the salmon in a pastry wrap (en croute) was very good, as was my partner's smoked salmon salad starter and canon of lamb main course. We usually share desert, and the apple tarte tatin was deliciously caramelised. Front of house and general ambience also as excellent as ever. Not dirt cheap (though not terribly expensive either), but the quality makes Waterside very good value. Worth a journey, book now.
