Loved the ambience and food. Very good service, but two us were very cold despite moving table, and despite the open fire which only warmed one of us.

the food was amazing and service so friendly and efficient, My Mother had a wonderful birthday lunch and when the staff arrived with her cheesecake they put happy birthday and a candle .... fabulous service !!!

I took my 98 year old father for Sunday lunch. Atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed. My Dad really appreciated the new indoor loos. Roast sirloin and all the trimmings were excellent. Thoroughly recommend

Ordered roast beef. Delicious meat, but better knives needed. Difficult to cut although meat tender.

First visit here. Brought American visitors for quintessential English pub experience- didn’t disappoint. Traditional Sunday roast, lamb was top class. Service friendly and efficient.

Had Sunday Lunch, the food was good and the staff were fantastic. We were put on table 1 which sadly was right next to the kitchen hatch where you constantly have the noise and movement of the chef and staff.

Great food and very friendly service. Second time we’ve visited in last 2 weeks. Only criticism is that it took 45 mins to get our starters....everything else was fabulous! Guess just busy a Sunday lunchtime

Fantastic setting in an old pub with great service. Staff were fabulous. Food and wine was a bit pricey but overall a lovely experience again.
