Excellent, friendly and fast service by courteous staff. Food was delicious and every small request was fulfilled with a smile - extra condiments & small cooking requests. I will definitely return.

Great food and service as always. The place could do with a lick of paint and a updated deco, however the fire place is very enjoyable on those wintry weekends.

First time at the Stonhouse and would recommend / return. We had a lovely evening. The food was nice with a good selection to choose frin. Busy venue, very noisy in bar area to begin with.

The food is always amazing here and so reasonably priced for the quality. Really enjoy the atmosphere and the staff are always very welcoming and helpful.

A delicious Sunday roast and great service. The Stonhouse is a great choice if you are looking for a very enjoyable afternoon in a pleasant atmosphere.

Another visit to the Stonehouse as I had a friend coming down to Clapham. The place was busy enough but not full so there was a nice " ambiance " The food was good as well as the service.

Great winter warming foos and amazing wait service and chat. sat by the fire made it feel all the more cosey on a cold night.

I booked a table for 2 for me and a friend, who had not been to the Stonhouse before. We both had the beef Sunday roast, which was very good, but could have been a little warmer. We also had dessert, which again, was very good.

Has a roast lunch. Vegetables were cold and put under luke warm roast beef. Dessert was lovely though. Friendly service and staff were lovely to deal with. Unfortunately food was sub standard.

Amazing food and a great atmosphere on a wintery night, with a fire crackling in the corner. Everything you want from a neighbourbood gastro pub.

I took my family for Sunday lunch the service was good as was the food. The adults had roasts which were well presented but the garlic was overpowering.

Great foood, excellent service! Fish, steak an burgers were all equally great, just a shame that the kitchen had run out of chateaubriand, but still a great dinner!

Service was great and the food was good value for money but it arrived within 5 minutes of ordering it and was served on cold plates and therefore went cold very quickly after it arrived at our table.

Hi there Having not been to the Stonhouse in years, I was looking forward to going back. We ordered a main and pudding, and the main came out very quickly considering it was a roast, and so wondered if it had been sitting under a hot plate for a while. It was hot and tasty so that didn't bother us too much. We then choose our puddings an waited approx. 40 mins for this to arrive, having to ask the waitress twice where it was. The puddings then arrived, only to find that 2 out of the 3 Blackberry and Apple Crumbles were cold right through. So we sent these back and waited a further 5 mins, by which point those who had the right puddings had finished. I felt the lunch wasn't the best and there was no question that the Stonhouse would take money off for the wait of the puddings, or the incorrect temperature of the puddings. Also the acoustics weren't great sitting in the middle of the room, so not sure if I would go back in a hurry.

Service was lovely but the food was slightly disappointing. We order steak and the pork belly and the steak came overdue and the pork belly was underdone - it wasn't crispy just chewing fat. I wouldn't repeat in a hurry.

A great place for a Sunday lunch. Great roasts and burgers. The service was exceptional and even though a party of 20 ordered just before us, the food came up quickly and was delicious!

Excellent with young children. Real restaurant feel to eating area. Food delicious. A short menu but a good mix of dishes. Outside area of pub also good for drinks.

Most enjoyable dinner, with good service and the pub / restaurant has a nice atmosphere. The steak and ale pie was delicious and very good value for money.

Lovely venue and staff. The Sunday roast isn't amazing but well worth a visit anyway for the garden and atmosphere. Been previously and food is very good indeed!

Amazing food great service and very good choice on al courses. We also took advantage of the special offer which was two for one on gin and tonics

Despite being Wed evening the place was pretty busy and with a nice atmosphere with a nice mix of people. Food and service were good.

We were a group of 3 and we're given a beautiful round tablLe next to an open window. Perfect for the hot day we were there. Staff were brilliant and the food tasty.

Decent food, good service, but a shame you can't book the tables in the garden. You don't always want to eat indoors on a warm summer evening.

Great food (although spare ribs very fatty) and service. The only slight negatives were the loudeness of the music as we came into the bar (but our table was quieter as we were through an arch in the corner), and we were right beside the disabled loo! However, overall a really positive experience.

Absolutely delicious food with options for the classics as well as interesting dishes! Good value for money. Extremely pleasant staff and ambiance. Would definitely recommend!

Food was lovely at the Stonhouse. Always good service too. although the childs burger wasn't great. Grissly bits of meat bound together by a massive sheet of cheese. so more effort into the kids meals please.

My favourite gastropub in Clapham. Hidden away in residential streets, you'll need Google Maps to find it. But it's worth the trek. I'm an Airbnb host and recommend it to all my guests who want to sample really good, classic British pub food. Portion sizes are really solid too, catering particularly well to meat eaters. They occasionally serve Short Rib, which is utterly amazing.

Very poor food quality, nice pub with great decor and chilled vibes, however a simple burger was really not good, got to get the basics right first.

Always go there as it's my local. Hidden away from the busy high street .Great staff, very Friendly. Always welcoming and dog friendly. Very nice food too and lovely atmosphere.

Delicious food, helpful staff and great drinks on offer. We went for the chateaubriand with green beans and the croquettes for a starter, both courses were tasty.

Lovely food (good selection of British classics) and great service! They accommodated 2 kids easily too which was great. We will be back for sure ;)

As a regular I know how good the food and service can be. This time, service levels weren't joined up and food could have been better. Sunday roasts are what's recommended.
