Another great lunch at this really warm and friendly bar restaurant. The menu at lunchtime has plenty of if choice and I went for the fish and chips which was a good size portion so really good value.

The food was really good( I had the sea bass ) unfortunately the rugby was on and so it was really busy and so noisy but the food was great and the service too.

A Memorable 75th Birthday Celebration – Outstanding Food & Service! We recently visited Stonehouse gastro pub to celebrate my wife’s 75th birthday, and we couldn’t have chosen a better place for this special occasion. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warm hospitality, and the exceptional service continued throughout our meal. The food was absolutely superb—beautifully presented, full of flavour, and cooked to perfection. Every dish we ordered exceeded our expectations, and it was clear that great care and attention had been put into both the ingredients and preparation. The menu offered a fantastic variety, ensuring there was something for everyone. The service was equally outstanding. The staff were attentive, friendly, and made us feel truly welcome. They went the extra mile to ensure my wife’s birthday was a special one, which we truly appreciated. The ambience was delightful—cosy, relaxed, and perfect for a celebratory meal. It’s rare to find a place that delivers excellent food, impeccable service, and a great atmosphere, but Stonehouse does it effortlessly. We’ll certainly be returning and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic dining experience. Five stars all the way!

Great value meal, busy but service was friendly and efficient Chicken wings with spicy sauce great as was the pork belly.

Sometimes the restaurant can be a bit noisy, so in Summer is is great to be able to sit outside in the garden.

The place is always bustling, the food always reliable and I always save space for pudding.

Could not access the rear entrance as blocked by people sitting in the doorway drinking - no offer to move out of the way. Once in the pub … loud music in bar area -slightly less loud in eating area. The real issue however was a table of adults with baby & young boy in the restaurant being very loud trying to entertain bored child - it was like having dinner in a crèche! Not allowed to play hide & seek - throw things around the restaurant. Not good. Have being going to Stonhouse for many years - sorry - Won't be going back.

Went here for their Wednesday Steak deal, would definitely recommend.

Rushed service with young inexperienced servers. Cheap basic food cooked badly and expensive. Overall a poor experience

Lovely food, the calamari was some of the best we’ve eaten! Attentive staff, wouldn’t hesitate in returning.

We arrived at 4 pm on a Sunday. This is a great pub Sunday roast. Fantastic service. Food was amazing. We had roast beef dinners and vegan wellington dinner. All were delicious. The vegan roast was particularly tasty. Beef was cooked perfectly. All the staff were super friendly. Highly recommend coming here for Sunday roast.
