The fish was a bit overcooked and too much garlic... The pub needs a little refurb. Such a great space and location, owner needs to invest!

I always enjoy coming here! I've not once had a bad meal and again this didn't disappoint. Great meal and a good selection of wines to accompany.

It was a gorgeoya hot day and we sat in the courtyard. Staff were friendly as always and delivered great service despite the warm weather. The bumbleberry cocktail was excellent too!

The staff were friendly and helpful and the environment pleasant, but the food was a little bland. Not as exciting as one might have expected given the menu descriptions and cost.

Girls dinner after a busy day and this was much needed. Good food, good wine and good service. Nice atmosphere and much enjoyed by all.

Friendly service, a good varied menu and wine list and comfy English pub atmosphere. Excellent steak and great real chips. We like the late lunch service until 3.30pm then you can linger with your wine or coffee. Book at busy times.

Incredible meal as always - the sharing mezze starter was absolutely delicious as was the steak main. Great service and incredible food at great value.

Probably my favourite gastropub in Clapham. It's very casual and unstuffy with a great beer garden. The chateaubriand is an awesome dinner for two! The pub is dog-friendly as well.

I go here as its off the main high street and has lovely staff and is very baby and kid friendly

Amazing food with amazing service. Particularly loved the scallops, ham hock hash, brisket and sticky toffee pudding! Would gladly dine there again any time! The Malbec was also exquisite.

Restaurant was ridiculously hot. They also ran out of the only veggie option on the menu and replaced it with something I would cook at home on a school night.

Usual quality and good service. We had the roast beef, BBQ beef brisket (my favourite!) and fish and chips, everyone was happy with their choices and enjoyed the evening. Two beers were accidentally added to our bill but were removed again without fuss.

Lovely ambiance and great menu. Only slight criticism is the seating at the back, my friend kept getting knocked everytime someone went to or left the table in the corner, perhaps something to reconsider.. Other than that it was a great night with truly excellent service.. Well done

We're big fans on the Avalon and Abbeville, so thought we give the Stonhouse a try. We ate around 7pm on a Sunday. The roast chicken had obviously been kept warm since lunchtime as it was so dry it was impossible to swallow. Roast potatoes were barely cooked too and certainly not crispy from being cooked in the goose fat they promised. Desert wasn't much better, I ordered apple and rhubarb crumble. This consisted of fruit that had been stewed so much is was more like a purée. I'm pretty sure the crumble topping was crushed up biscuits, sprinkled over the top. All in all disappointing. Good point the Proseco was great.

Great food, service and atmosphere. Had the chateaubriand, and it was perfectly cooked. Service accomplished, friendly and efficient waitress. Will be back very soon for more.

Our experience was just average. The pub was lovely as was the garden but the service was slow and the food was a mixture of good and pre-prepared reheated (sides). If the prices were lower I would come again or I would come for a drink but not necessarily for a meal at the current prices.

Had a nut roast and it was verging on inedible. The roast potatoes & parsnips weren't cooked and the nut bake was totally over cooked. Will not be returning!
