Great food, and nice atmosphere. Perfect for a mid week dinner and glass of wine. Not cheap for a pub, but worth it for a treat.

Food was ok, nothing special. I had the chicken pie special of the day and it was a bit dry. The sticky toffee pudding there is great and the service has always been very good.

Lovely cosy gastro pub - you feel right at home while also feel like you're having a treat night out. Food easygoing and drinks list great too.

Great food, attentive and friendly staff, lovely atmosphere. Asked for a quiet table in the corner for hard of hearing father and was accommodated too.

This is my favourite local pub. Excellent food , friendly staff, lovely decor, good wine menu. Delicious food and even better price with a taste card

The quality of Sunday roast at stonhouse has significantly deteriorated from being one of the best in Clapham to being really rather poor. Two tiny roast potatoes per roast dinner. Beef nearly rare despite being asked for well done. Dry insipid Yorkshire pudding. Roast dinner going cold within five minutes. Roast chicken dry and therefore hard to swallow. So disappointing. Gave it another chance with dessert and was further disappointed with a lazy banoffee pie of hard biscuit base, huge chunks of banana and about 3cm layer of cream. Truly disgusting. Won't be going back. Customers lost.

Great little pub, just set back from the busy street which makes it lovely and quiet, but nice to know Clapham common is just around the corner. Food selection was varied and food tasted great. Great selection of beer and wine too.

The stonhouse is a lovely pub with great food and a welcoming atmosphere. I was there with 8 of my friends to have lunch and watch the rugby and they were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Would highly recommend!

The food was good, although I would have prefered the crackling on my pork belly to be crisper. The banoffee pie was lovely and the £3 deal on dessert wine with a pudding is good value. Service was rather slow although the servers themselves were all lovely.

Food was good, served as requested and in fair portion. Only thing detracting from the experience was that the Service whilst friendly a little too slow and in ptricular it took too long from asking for bill to actually being presented with card machine to pay and leave, despite the restaurant being over half empty by that stage.

I love The Stonhouse, it a quiet cosy country-style pub in a corner of Clapham just off the bustling Venn Street. The food is exceptional and great value - the BBQ beef brisket is an absolute must!!!

Food was ok but disappointing compared to sister pub, the Abbeyville. Service was friendly and efficient. It would be good to have the specials visible from all tables or inserted with the menu.

It was not actually that busy. Attentive staff allowed me to move to a nicer table. Very agreable hosts checked on us frequently for drink top ups and food was very nice, tasty and suitably priced. Great mid-week meet up.

The Stonehouse is my favourite pub in Clapham. I have been going there for over three years very frequently. Home made tasting food, especially the specials, generous portions, lovely staff and great atmosphere. Definitely great for a date, family diner or just with friends.

A busy Friday evening at the Stonhouse, but never over-crowded or rowdy, just a lovely buzz. and despite the place being full, table service was fast and efficient throughout, and predominantly smiley! The starter was a little underwhelming, I tend to think a combo of squid and chorizo is one work making a little bit of a statement about, rather than plonking a few bits on some rocket and serving - it came out very quickly, no prizes for guessing it didn't take much prep. the sea bream, however, was terrific - generous, tasty, perfectly cooked, on a bed of crisy and flavourful veggies. we both chose the same dishes, so sadly not able to comment on any other menu items! there was a small issue when the bill came and my friend had been charged for doubles on her drinks when she had specifically ordered singles, and this was rather grudgingly amended by the waitress. otherwise, a lovely atmosphere, friendly folks lovely food, ideal Friday.

Busy gastropub with a good menu & efficient staff. My sunday lunch of Pork belly was very good, & my friend enjoyed her battered cod. It's a little tucked away but easy to get to & obviously populars with the locals.

We had a great early supper as part of the 50% off January offer. As usual juicy steak, good chips and friendly service. I like the Argentinian malbec and the side dish of swiss chard too, I tried the banofee air for the first time - delicious and substantial.

The Stonhouse is the perfect place to go for so many different reasons... with friends, with your partner, for a drink or for food - the service is always good and the food is magnificent! Love the setting as well, off the beaten track & with a (heated) outside area.

Lovely pub, classy decor, open fire, good atmosphere. Food was great and service pretty good too. The 50% off food deal for Jan helped ensure the pub was really busy I think - a successful marketing as it tempted us to travel a little bit further than usual

All round nice gastropub, a mix of casual and elegant ambience that works, interesting menu, good quality of food and drinks, very friendly and attentive staff and good value for money. The fireplace adds to the appeal of the place, I would definitely go back.

Good food although a bit pricey. It was very busy and noisey I would reccomend making a reservation rather than just turning up as it can be difficult to get a table if you don't.
