We had a most enjoyable evening. Excellent friendly staff, good range of food catering for all tastes. 2 of us chose the daily specials, risotto and baked cod, which were delicious. The puddings are notably good, especially the posset. It was lovely to see guests with their dogs in the bar area.

Excellent food and service every time. Fully booked every time I go there. I'm reluctant to recommend it in case too many people find out about it.

A lovely lunch with great service and good food. Garden would have been nice to enjoy - shame about the British weather in the summer!

We had a great evening at the Stonhouse. We were a large group and running late for our original reservation time. When we did finally arrive it wasn't an issue at all and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The staff were warm and welcoming and super accommodating of ours needs; we had a three month old in our group and the staff were very helpful storing the pram and making sure we had everything we needed. And the food was delicious! Couldn't recommend it more!

Very friendly and good food but could have done with some salad or veg with the duck main course. Overall great though and would visit again.

Good Sunday lunch. Not quite as good as its sister pub The Abbeville but much better than a few years back when it seemed to have lost its way. Worth booking for larger groups.

Two of our waiters were extremely friendly and helpful. The food was good although the main course took a little while to arrive. Beautiful and buzzing atmosphere and a lovely, varied menu. Really recommend it.

Great, friendly service and delicious food. I took my dad there and he loved it. A great traditional style pub hidden away off the main clapham high street.

An enjoyable Sunday lunch at The Stonhouse , we were a party of 5 and all were satisfied with the choice we made from the menu. A couple of us felt that we could have done with the food being a little hotter. Prices OK.

Another delicious lunch at the Stonhouse with a good stark, great chips, friendly service and very reasonably priced glass of champagne. The spinach was good too.

Really good food although a bit pricey and good friendly service. I would definitely recommend. I had the sea bass which was delicious and the black current crumble was also good.

Another great after movie dinner at the Stonhouse using our CPH members discount which makes it even better. Really juicy steaks, brilliant old-fashioned chips and a yummy Puglian wine. Good value and a friendly atmosphere with pleasant service. what's not to like!?

Polite staff, taken to my table immediately. Good sized menu to choose from. The only downsize was that my friends is a vegetarian and there was only one option she could have, not even a veggie roast was offered.

A friendly and accommodating service was given by the staff. We all had the Beef Sunday roast which was excellent. Then only negative was the dense yorkshire pud.

Lovely meal and excellent service. We had the steak, which was cooked perfectly! Also has a dessert each, which was gorgeous but very generous portion so could probably share! All round, a great evening and really cosy, friendly atmosphere

Despite being late for our reservation, we were well served and well fed. This is a great place for meeting up with friends, with a relaxed convivial atmosphere, un-hurried service and a menu to suit everyone.

Very good service and nice pub style food. This is a restaurant with table service in a pub environment. Some tables are a bit small but there was a care taken throughout the experience here. Certainly above average for this category

Nice pub and friendly staff. Initially the roast beef dinners looked huge, but the slices of beef layered on top of the vegetable and potatoes are very thin and therefore I was diappointed with the small amount of meat. The yorkshire puddings looked great but werent actually that nice. Sorry!

We were very pleased as ever with the charming service and the relaxed atmosphere, but the steak and chips fell well below the norm: cold soggy chips that had been hanging around, tough rather burnt steaks - the duck and lamb went down well though. We heard rumour that a new chef was in the kitchen that Tuesday night so let's hope he picks up a few tips from the usually excellent chef! The Puglia red wine was yummy.

Nice little pub. Staff were polite not but not exactly a 'laugh a minute' so to speak. I had the burger and unfortunately the bun was stale- but the burger itself was nice Couple of friends had the chateaubriand which was apparently amazing (also looked amazing).and another had fish and chips (heard no complaints so must have been yummy). I would defiantly come back here, nice atmosphere, nice food and nice staff.

We booked for a large table of 14 people, which The Stonhouse were happy to accommodate. I realise a large table is quite difficult to serve well, but we were all very happy with the level of service and the food was excellent as always!

1st time visit although I am local. Had a saturday evening to myself so booked a table. Excellent friendly service. Typical gastro pub type dinner - place very popular and busy, very good drinks and plenty of choice. Food more limited in choice predictable, and possibly a bit unmemorable but reasonable quantity. Yes worth visiting.
