Decent food, good service, but a shame you can't book the tables in the garden. You don't always want to eat indoors on a warm summer evening.

We were a group of 3 and we're given a beautiful round tablLe next to an open window. Perfect for the hot day we were there. Staff were brilliant and the food tasty.

Food was lovely at the Stonhouse. Always good service too. although the childs burger wasn't great. Grissly bits of meat bound together by a massive sheet of cheese. so more effort into the kids meals please.

Great food (although spare ribs very fatty) and service. The only slight negatives were the loudeness of the music as we came into the bar (but our table was quieter as we were through an arch in the corner), and we were right beside the disabled loo! However, overall a really positive experience.

Absolutely delicious food with options for the classics as well as interesting dishes! Good value for money. Extremely pleasant staff and ambiance. Would definitely recommend!

My favourite gastropub in Clapham. Hidden away in residential streets, you'll need Google Maps to find it. But it's worth the trek. I'm an Airbnb host and recommend it to all my guests who want to sample really good, classic British pub food. Portion sizes are really solid too, catering particularly well to meat eaters. They occasionally serve Short Rib, which is utterly amazing.

Very poor food quality, nice pub with great decor and chilled vibes, however a simple burger was really not good, got to get the basics right first.

As a regular I know how good the food and service can be. This time, service levels weren't joined up and food could have been better. Sunday roasts are what's recommended.

This place has certainly improved since my last visit. Good food, good atmosphere, pleasant staff. Still not quite up to its sister restaurant, the Abbeville but it's trying!

A cosy and warm evening by the fire in a great pub. A friend and I shared the Chateaubriand which was delicious. Unfortunately we were too full for pudding. Looking forward to going back in the Summer and being able to sit in the outside area.

Service was prompt and friendly. Menu options had a nice variety across different proteins, lighter vs heavier entrees, etc. I also ordered an espresso martini after the meal which was excellent- hats off to the bartended last Friday evening.

Amazing, affordable food - ordered two of the specials for that night and both were incredible! Lovely decor and candlelight. And our waitress was lovely, very attentive but left us alone when needed. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

We went for a Sunday roast. You can tell they seemed a bit rushed off their feet, the meat was very tasty the vegs was a bit bland as they seem to have just been steamed cooked, I had the belly pork with very little crackling which was a bit disappointing however the gravy was very tasty! I prefer their sister branch "the abbeville".

Great service as always; lentils (with the chicken) were undercooked but they took it off the bill without argument; the rest of the food was fantastic (we were a group of four)

The tonic in our G&Ts was flat when it was brought out and then flat again when we asked for it to be replaced. Other than that it was a lovely meal.

Overall experience was excellent. Service was very good. Food also very good. Difficult to criticise any aspect and would recommend to my friends. Will definitely visit again for a drink and/or food.

Love the Stonhouse- best pub food in Clapham. Generous Sunday roast portions, great service, and good atmosphere. Yummy sticky toffee pudding too. A good pub to take your parents to if they're visiting London, but also perfect for drinks with friends.

Great Saturday lunchtime spot. Tucked away with the kids so we could all enjoy excellent pub food which was just a little different to the norm. My chicken with spicy lentils was so tasty that the kids ate it, leaving their burger to me - and that was just fine as it was very good too!

Nice big pub. Lovely staff, beer fine. Food: my starters of pate - delicious, but mains of pork belly was way too fatty and greasy. My partners starters of croquettes were a bit heavy, and her mains of fish and chips were definite re-heats.

Another dinner at the Stonhouse! I really do like this pub, it always has a good atmosphere but is never overly noisy so you can enjoy a dinner with friends. Great food.

A little quiet with some characters in the bar.. nut food eas excellent.. fresh and really tasty. Good selection on the menu. A litte off the neaten path so feels a little like a hidden gem.

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the meal however reports from the girls were definitely good. They said the roasts were great and good wine list.
