Went for a Sunday roast. Food arrived cold. Awful roast potatoes - a good 30 minutes off being cooked. Chicken had flabby skin. Really not good at all!

Excellent lunch with excellent service. The food was very good and appreciated by all. Only downside was the we rushed at the end of the meal as the table was required. We will be back

Good local gastro pub with good atmosphere and friendly staff

Some of the best pub food in the local area and great service. The steaks are particularly great. Dogs welcome too, plus there is a lovely beer garden. Highly recommended.

We've had better meals at The Stonhouse in the past but the service was as impeccable as before. The recommended Argentinian Malbec was the perfect choice to have with our steaks.

I have visited here on several occasions, and it is consistently good. My only complaint is that they never have my first choice of wine. Good value.

Food & service was very good. The only drawback was that we were on a small table tucked away around the back. Apart from that we will be back.

Our booking for New years eve was great, we had the table all evening and so could have drinks followed by dinner and then more drinks and celebration afterwards!

Friendly attentive staff. A pleasant space. Grilled chicken in the salad was freshly grilled. Elderflower margarita a truly sublime experience. Only grip? Still neighbours smoking in beer garden; but then you can’t please everyone!

The food is in a far higher class than most of their competitors - thoughtful dishes which are well prepared and well presented. Services is attentive, friendly and helpful. Reasonable prices, including the wines (which we were offered to sample before we chose). I recommend the desert cocktail!

food and service are fantastic. the only thing I would suggest is slight change to the main dishes on the menu as they have remained the same for a while and I come a lot to eat so have run out of new things to try.

The staff were as lovely as always and the food was good but I was disappointed that the menu had not changed since my visit four weeks previously.

Good service even though it was busy. Ravioli was the winning dish of the night but the pie was only average. Chose to sit inside but I've eaten in the beer garden before it's a great one.

Attentive staff and tasty food (that I had anyway). A bit noisy when it's busy, but depends where you're sitting. Will be back again soon.

Very good Sunday roast. One of the better places in Clapham for this. Dog friendly too which was a plus for us. Nice beer garden for sunnier days.

Great food and wine. Surprisingly quiet for a Saturday night but great attentive staff. Would recommend the sea bream. It was delicious and the sweet potato fries!

Sunday roast was excellent! Waiter was nice but mix up with machine payment caused an issue - only reason for losing a couple of points from us.

Another good visit to the Stonhouse. Used the January offer from their website for 50% off food which made this an incredibly reasonable evening. Food was very good.

The food was very good however we were surrounded by children and families which made the experience quite unwelcoming for a group without them. It was also very noisy.

The menu and our choice of food was excellent. Sadly appaling customer service from one particular member of staff which made us all feel quite uncomfortable.

Overall the food and service was ok but the soup was a little cold and very salty. I don't usual have any issues though and it hasn't put me off returning.

Very busy and lively atmosphere in there, attentive and friendly staff, but the food was just ok. Interesting menu, but the food wasn't as good as expected. We had croquettes and terrine to start - cheap bread to go with the terrine and the croquettes were underdone. Roast was also disappointing - beef a bit fatty and perhaps too rare for a roast, gravy wasn't tasty and we didn't get cauliflower, which others seem to have. Perhaps I should have complained at the time, but didn't seem quite bad enough to say anything, but I certainly wouldn't recommend based on food I'm afraid.

Service started well but went off as it got busier. However all food was very good with special mention to the sea bass and the salted caramel cheesecake

The food was very good, as was the service. The tables are quite close together, which would have been a problem if it was full, but on a Saturday afternoon it was fine. Also, as there is no carpet or other sound absorbing materials, the noise levels could be very high. Even with the relatively few customers, you could notice the sound levels.

I have eaten here a few times and each time I have been very happy with the quality of the food and the service. My only issue is on each visit they have never had my first choice of wine.

Visited on mother’s day! The food was lovely, we all had roast beef (couldn’t say no to a roast) - everything tasted great. Was a really nice atmosphere inside! Will definitely return!!

Really nice food. Friendly & attentive waitress. Recommend ordering a side of roast potatoes with the roast dinners though, as you only get a couple of tiddly ones with the meal...

Great food, ok service. We were there on Sunday and it was really busy, so the service was not fast. But we were happy with our Sunday roast- size, taste & quality.

Over-priced salad, got 4 bits of tofu and the rest seemed to just be leaves. No flavour either. The rest was good though and the staff were friendly.

Great pub. We go there all the time for lunch on a friday because it is close to our work and takes taste card. Nice food, good beers. Friendly staff.
