As usual great food and service. The garden on a week day afternoon is a lovely quiet haven to enjoy a meal and a drink with friends.

We booked for 7 pm so the place was not too busy yet. We just had a main course as we were meeting other friends. Service and food very good.

Staff were really friendly and helpful, the food was delicious and was served quickly. We had the squid and sourdough bread to start and the sharing steak for main. Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning soon!

We've been to the stonhouse regularly for years now and really enjoy the food and atmosphere. Sadly on this occasion the food was below par - tasteless dry hummus, bland dry burger - a real disappointment. I hope this is a one off and not the sign of a change for the worse at the stonhouse. Lovely wine as always.

Service was good, but the Sunday roast we had was totally undercooked! Meat, veg, and potatoes were all hard and even inedible in some cases. The meat wasn't such an issue, as it was beef and we both enjoy it rare, but even then some parts of it were totally raw. The veg was a problem - the roast potatoes were anaemic and hard in the middle, and the green vegetables were really hard. You couldn't slice through some of them with a knife. Apart from that, the service was relatively good, and the pub is nice, but it was full of screaming children and the whole atmosphere was very loud (there are probably too many tables in too small a space). All in all, definitely one to avoid.

The food was fairly poor, the service was good.the menu is not great for those with allergies or specific requirements. The atmosphere however was agreeably relaxed.

Only one vegetarian main meal was available on the menu and it wasn't very good. Very bland pasta dish - pasta in oil dressing basically. Great staff and service though.

We had the burger and the hake which were both really good, the venue was really nice and in a great location! Definitely go again

A lovely pub and restaurant just off of the main road. Welcomed really nicely on arrival. The food was amazing and I would definitely recommend.

Great food, and especially great service. I have to eat gluten free for a month and the waiter was excellent, helping to inform us of what we could and could not have, and suggesting alternatives. Above and beyond the call of duty.

Warm welcome, good staff, table was ready, nice menu, good food. We were in a bit of a rush to catch a film, but the staff were very accommodating.

The seabass was beautiful. G&T tuesday mean 241 on gins - bargain! Nice vibe, good atmostphere, staff were friendly. No issues at all. Good value

Great food , friendly staff , and a laid back vibe. One of the best things we have done with our Sunday afternoon for many a day. We shall return !

The Stonhouse has a nice atmosphere and good food (yummy fishcakes with chips and salad). The service is good with friendly, helpful staff. All fine!

We booked late so got a table tucked away in the corner (almost behind the bar) but service and the food was excellent, a really great pub with nice outside bit!

The Best Sunday roast option in Clapham! Lots of meat and veg that are cooked well. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended and will go back

Nice food but bad service tonight. We have been before and had great experiences but I think they were short staffed this time. Our starter salad (beetroot and goats cheese) was pitifully small with only 3 small squares of goats cheese! But the mains special of squid and prawns was really delicious and my partner enjoyed a nice steak too. It's not a cheap evening out and tainted by overstretched service tonight but a nice environment and popular local pub.

The Stonhouse does great steaks and did not fail this time, all diners in my party had steak with fries and Bearnaise Sauce. The wine is reasonably priced and wide-ranging. We enjoyed a Rioja with the steak, perfect to stand up to those robust flavours. I like the atmosphere but it odes get busy and noise levels can rise. If you want intimacy ask for a table away from the bar. If the wetaher had been good we could even have eaten outside.

Gastropub laid out mostly like a restaurant with a significant bar area and a nice garden. Stonhouse concentrates on food. Service excellent. The food is good in a gastropub style although the menu is static with a handful of specials. Worth visiting.

Excellent food and service every time. Fully booked every time I go there. I'm reluctant to recommend it in case too many people find out about it.

We had a most enjoyable evening. Excellent friendly staff, good range of food catering for all tastes. 2 of us chose the daily specials, risotto and baked cod, which were delicious. The puddings are notably good, especially the posset. It was lovely to see guests with their dogs in the bar area.

We had a great evening at the Stonhouse. We were a large group and running late for our original reservation time. When we did finally arrive it wasn't an issue at all and we only had to wait a few minutes for a table. The staff were warm and welcoming and super accommodating of ours needs; we had a three month old in our group and the staff were very helpful storing the pram and making sure we had everything we needed. And the food was delicious! Couldn't recommend it more!

A lovely lunch with great service and good food. Garden would have been nice to enjoy - shame about the British weather in the summer!

Very friendly and good food but could have done with some salad or veg with the duck main course. Overall great though and would visit again.

An enjoyable Sunday lunch at The Stonhouse , we were a party of 5 and all were satisfied with the choice we made from the menu. A couple of us felt that we could have done with the food being a little hotter. Prices OK.

Good Sunday lunch. Not quite as good as its sister pub The Abbeville but much better than a few years back when it seemed to have lost its way. Worth booking for larger groups.

Another great after movie dinner at the Stonhouse using our CPH members discount which makes it even better. Really juicy steaks, brilliant old-fashioned chips and a yummy Puglian wine. Good value and a friendly atmosphere with pleasant service. what's not to like!?

We held a leaving party for a friend the service was good the menu was slightly lacking regarding vegetarian options we had three in our group. But I should add they came up with another meal option . Over all the food was lovely in a nice setting.
