Very friendly service, good atmosphere and food. Didn’t have to wait long our food.
Very friendly service and atmosphere. Food enjoyable too. Pleased that tips are shared by staff as policy.
Lovely Sunday lunch at the Rosendale. Food was great and the staff are always friendly
Excellent roast lunch. One of the best pub lunch in a long time. Staff very attentive to. Many thanks. M
The 2 4 1 pie offer was well worth the visit. The noise was too high from neighbouring tile, though I accept there's little you can do save telling customers to shut up. My main beef was trying to get a Pint Of Beer. I was told there was no draught beer and settled for Camden Hell which was effectively lager which I returned after a few sips and was charged for! Then tried the IPA which was also too chilled. On the way out I noticed at least 2 draught beers including Timothy Taylor which I think the waitress should have told me about.
Lovely roast and dessert, really enjoyed, table was ready straight away
Great food and wonderful service! Loved it, will be back
Went to lunch on friday with a friend for 2/4/1 pie deal. Delicuous, hot food.all made on site. Gd service. Impresseive.
Food and service were excellent, however the noise levels are way above what I’d call pleasant. That said and from the pubs point of view it probably gets people in and out the pub very quickly!
Great food, great pub! Will def be back again soon!
The food and the service were excellent . Well done
good experience, would recommend the pub. The food is very good!
Great food, particularly the steak and ale pie. Excellent service and staff very friendly. Very positive experience.
Really lovely atmosphere, great food and wonderful choice of drinks- would definitely recommend! I was particularly impressed with lovely Rioja and a succulent pork dish. Will definitely be back!
An excellent lunch at my favourite pub. Great food and a varied selection as always and very good service even though the pub was very busy.
I have used this pub many times over the last 6 years and it used to be great but the last few tones have gotten steadily worse. On Sunday our drinks order were wrong, more than twice, we had to remind them of things on our order repeatedly (extra gravy etc) the service was slow and slack and the food has gone downhill. Raw veg, not much meat, potatoes not crispy. Yorkshire’s were good as ever tho. Finally, they take drinks and pudding order and then tell us ten mins later that we have to leave the table due to a 2 hour window. I understand the 2 hour thing, but they should have told us rather than take more orders and throw us off table as our drinks arrive. Bill was nearly £200 including £20 service (only 3 people drinking alcohol) and it really was no where near worth it. I won’t go back now. Such a shame.
Not the fastest service I've experienced but as it was a very busy Wednesday maybe that was to be expected. That 50% off food in January promotion clearly worked. It's wasn't particularly warm given how full it was though but that may be because we were by the doors to the garden (even if they weren't open). The food was great though and the staff were nice. Just the kitchen could have been a little quicker.
Staff were friendly and professional, the food is varied and delicious (especially the variety of starters) and the surroundings are attractively decorated. The whole pub seems in keeping with the area.
Nice lively environment, kind staff and the food was good. Minor things but I feel the chicken wings could be improved a little and the burger should have a small side salad. We used the 50% off in Jan voucher which is incredibly good value.
Very good in nearly all respects. The staff were attentive and gracious. The food was good. Calamari was a bit greasy, but the sea bass was excellent. We waited more than ten minutes for our bill to arrive!
Nice restaurant with a great atmosphere. Good food and portions, and a variety of options on the menu. A nice place for any social occasion.
Disappointed to learn that the 50% offer is not valid at weekends, as their advertising suggests. Food was tasty but the service was poor - I had to find a waitress to place our order.
We went with friends for a meal. The building is fantastic and there is a good and varied menu and wine list. Staff were efficient and friendly. A good time had by all.
Great friendly service, efficient but not rushed. A top Sunday lunch experience and well priced. Always comfortable too as the decor is lovely for such a well used pub
Great service and yummy food - thank you so much we had a lovely family gathering at the Rosendale. Much appreciated especially after Christmas fun.
Excellent- lovely atmosphere, lovely staff and lovely food. Also a really nice building, in a nice, secluded area. Very cosy in the winter - a great Sunday roast spot.
Excellent food, good atmosphere, great service until our waitress went off duty, causing a slight hiccup in service handover. Not bad enough to spoil our evening but worth mentioning.
The restaurant was not busy. Two of us had the fish dish which was very good and two others had burgers and there were no complaints ! Service was friendly and competent and we would be happy to go back. The fact that we can walk there is an added bonus .
Awful service. Christmas Eve, after we ordered they discovered they had run out of burgers. The kids willingly however changed their order. They brought our glasses of wine and they placed them in front of the children! Our reservation was at 8.30. At 9 the kitchen closed but they didn’t bother to warn us about it. So by the time we wanted to order dessert it was too late. The waitress was so annoying and disrespectful when she informed us that we couldn’t have dessert. Rather than being polite she looked as if she was enjoying it. Waiters and staff were apathetic the whole time. This was an awful memory and we regret we chose to spend our Christmas Eve to that place. To owners and staff: You should treat your customers with respect.
We had a really good Christmas meal. We had to order our food with our initial booking but this worked like clockwork. The food was imaginatively cooked with fresh and carefully cooked vegetables. Everybody really enjoyed their desserts and we plan to go back in January for a birthday celebration.
always really enjoy the food here. exceptional service as always.
The food was extremely nice, the restaurant was family-friendly, and the staff were delightful. Would definitely recommend, particularly for Christmas lunch and good quality beer!
Lovely ambience, great staff, delicious food..... need I say more! I would recommend the sea bass... really yummy! Definitely worth a visit and I will return when in London again.
The staff were very attentive. Our food was lovely with good choice of kids and adults menu, it’s a great place to go with children.
Great service, very accommodating wait staff, lovely pub, we will come again. Great to have choice from pizza, sandwiches and main meals. Very welcoming for children. And loving the Christmas ambience.
I have been to The Rosendale many times, but did not enjoy my meal today. The quality of the food was not as good as it usually is.
I always enjoy a Sunday roast dinner at The Rosendale with the family! Generous portions. Good options for children. Good wine list. Lovely staff. Great atmosphere.
VERY family oriented; not the place for a quiet tete-a-tete. Food options for vegetarians a little limited and quality not as high as when previously visited two years ago.
great service, decent and interesting choice of food and easy booking service through quandoo. Highly recommend to friends and family. I will certainly return again
service was diabolically slow on Sunday afternoon, 45 mins to bring out some starters and kids meals, they had the nerve to add 12.5 % service charge automatically. The food was average , nothing special.
Food was below average; they forgot our drinks, our cauliflower cheese and when it was bought over it had been made with a blow torch to speed the process along and tasted burnt and bitter
Good quality food and drinks, very well cooked Friendly staff Just need a little more customer service for it to be excellent Seating arrangement could have been better, as was wedged in, when the restaurant was not that busy
Great service, seated quickly, attentive but not bothersome. Food was very good, lived up to expectations but didn't exceed them. All in all, a very pleasant relaxed dinner in a very pleasant environment. Would definitely recommend.
Good choice of food, however the size of the hake portion was tiny, although nice. Other meals of fish and chips great portion size. Guinea fowl stew was lovely. The restaurant was busy but we didn’t wait long for our food. The staff were very helpful as one of our party needed gluten free options.
A great Sunday lunch, ...helpful, friendly staff with good wine knowledge! Lovely roast pork and Malbec.. always a pleasure. Looking forward to returning another Sunday very soon
Very good food; even better with the 50% off food over half-term. Children's menu went down well. Nice choice of beers from London breweries. Will come back.
Lovely place, very comfy atmosphere. The food was divine, so everything was perfect. The staff was nice and helpful. The food came out fast and was to an amazing standard.
Great cosy place with lovely staff. Food is good and well served. Dogs allowed which is a plus. Their pizzas are delicious and great value if ordered ahead for take away.
Staff friendly, and the roast dinners has to be one of the best in London everything hot with loads of flavour. I will be back “ yum “
Usually only go for Sunday lunch, but the evening menu and service was/is equally recommendable
