We had been disappointed on a previous occasion when the food was cold. But this occasion everything was good. Good service, good food, nice atmosphere.

Food and drinks were fine but service was pretty terrible. Waiting staff were not at all attentive (hanging round cash desk chatting to each other, it wasn't that they were too busy). Also didn't clear the table without being asked several times. After our meal we moved to a table outside and again had to ask for another group's plates to be cleared away and the waitress asked us to collect the plates and glasses and stack them up, which was a bit gross as they weren't even ours. She didn't even want to move round the table to pick things up from different places.

We always have a good time when we come to the Rosendale and today was no exception. Great food, lovely service and really good selection of drinks.

Rosendale is always lovely. It can get lively but that is ok. Some service staff are better than others as some cannot be bothered and look permanently miserable but we are use to them. It's like they do not want to bet there. Others go out of their way so its pot luck as to who you get like in most places. Food was lovely when it eventually came and of course we will be back.

Mother’s Day dinner the roast and fish were lovely however the wings were definitely not jerk ! Not seasoned and soggy and the burger was also a no no! The staff were great! Hopefully they will receive a bonus from managememt.

Took friends as I've alwasy had the best roasts here but so disappointed with this latest one. Huge half a chicken dominated a plate and underneath, the vegetables were not roasted properly, the parsnips were slightly raw and no crisp to the potatoes, i thought they were boiled potatoes. Huge Yorkshire pudding that was overcooked and bland, came with a side order of chilled bread sauce. We assumed this should have been heated and it wasnt that it had gone cold it was chilled like it came from the fridge. told to watier politely at the end and he apologised but offered nothing else. Probably wont go again, what a shame.

Was ok. I've been for a dinner a few times and it used to be better - maybe was just unlucky on this visit. The chicken schnitzel had very little chicken so was mostly eating fried breadcrumbs and the salad and beans it came with was a very small portion - about 3 green beans and a few bits of lettuce! I understand margins are being squeezed but on this occasion it was too much!

Lots of babies in strollers. But I am beyond all that. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was very good. The music was not too loud, We will come again.

We’re regular dinners at The Rosendale. As usual, this visit we were very happy with the food quality, deliciousness and the service we received. Will continue to dine here as long as these standards remain.

Honestly the food was revolting . 3 roast potatoes per Sunday lunch which were kind of waxy and cold. The cauliflower cheese was overcooked and tasted bitter . The vegetarian roast was a dry pastry with soggy spinach - really foul. The almond cake was like rubber. If I hadn’t been starving and trying to enjoy time with a friend I would have left. The waiting staff were lovely and the only good thing about this experience.

The music was far too loud for us to enjoy a good conversation.

Greeted and made to feel comfortable, I was shown the specials board. They got me a drink while I waited for my friend who was late. They gave us space and time to think about our order. They were very tolerant of my friends indecision. I ordered chicken schnitzel with slaw and chips, the chips were coated in truffle oil and Parmesan and were delicious. I had the brownie and ice cream, it was soft and chocolatey and went down a treat. It was a girly catch up, the staff were attentive but not too pushy which gave us the opportunity to catch up without too many interruptions. It was very busy, it was cold when I arrived but they lit the fire and this helped to warm the room and create a nice ambiance on a cold evening.

The food was pretty mediocre - lovely chicken but hard roast potatoes, tiny amount of gravy and bread sauce, and a dry Yorkshire pudding. Had heard great things but unfortunately wasn’t impressed.
