We had a lovely meal and the waitress we had Was very good, happy and made our visit a good experience.

Lots of babies in strollers. But I am beyond all that. The service was EXCELLENT and the food was very good. The music was not too loud, We will come again.

We’re regular dinners at The Rosendale. As usual, this visit we were very happy with the food quality, deliciousness and the service we received. Will continue to dine here as long as these standards remain.

Honestly the food was revolting . 3 roast potatoes per Sunday lunch which were kind of waxy and cold. The cauliflower cheese was overcooked and tasted bitter . The vegetarian roast was a dry pastry with soggy spinach - really foul. The almond cake was like rubber. If I hadn’t been starving and trying to enjoy time with a friend I would have left. The waiting staff were lovely and the only good thing about this experience.

The music was far too loud for us to enjoy a good conversation.

Greeted and made to feel comfortable, I was shown the specials board. They got me a drink while I waited for my friend who was late. They gave us space and time to think about our order. They were very tolerant of my friends indecision. I ordered chicken schnitzel with slaw and chips, the chips were coated in truffle oil and Parmesan and were delicious. I had the brownie and ice cream, it was soft and chocolatey and went down a treat. It was a girly catch up, the staff were attentive but not too pushy which gave us the opportunity to catch up without too many interruptions. It was very busy, it was cold when I arrived but they lit the fire and this helped to warm the room and create a nice ambiance on a cold evening.

The food was pretty mediocre - lovely chicken but hard roast potatoes, tiny amount of gravy and bread sauce, and a dry Yorkshire pudding. Had heard great things but unfortunately wasn’t impressed.

Great as always. Bit loud, we struggled to hear each other at our table even though we were only with 5 and in the corner of the restaurant. Food was great except for the chicken chorizo pie (the special). It had been cooked way too long and the chicken had the texture of baby food. The rest was lovely though.

The Rosendale was quite busy on arrival but we were served promptly and drinks order taken first. Food was excellent and the service was good. Only slight complaint if I had one was that we felt cold and as the customers started to leave it got colder so not sure what heating they had. Aside from that everything was very good.

I love the Rosendale - atmosphere is great and the staff are heavenly. But this visit the food was - simply - appalling. Disgusting processed food, inedible fatty cuts of cheap meat. They need to narrow down the menu and focus of a couple of high quality dishes or they’ll lose local and loyal customers.
