Lovely food. So nice to have proper calamari after 7 months without. Polite and friendly staff. Great local pub.
Good food, but slightly limited menu. Excellent service and outside dining. The eat out to help out discount made the prices very cheap too!
Food was lovely and staff were super friendly and attentive. Tables well spaced. Bit hot inside but appreciate in these times no fans aloud! Definitely going back soon.
Second visit since lockdown eased. We felt their service was not as Covid secure, with servers leaning over us to pass, collect plates etc.
It was lovely to be back - the staff welcomed us like old friends
Well organised, plenty of space between tables. Very reassuring in these times.
Friendly staff and lovely seating in the beer garden !
The staffing was very efficient and friendly. The place was very very clean! Food was unreal as always. Only thing that would of made it extra amazing, if they was still offering the salted caramel chocolate brownie 👌🏽 I Travel from just near Bluewater to come to The Rosendale as it never disappoints! Will definitely be returning again soon.
brought wrong wine. wait was too long, staff didn't see us. charged for medium wine when ordered small.
Superb pub, superb people. I say do go visit soon
Had a lovely lunch, sitting in the sunny terrace area. Great service, tasty good quality food. I had a vegan burger which was delicious. The pizza looked and I'm told was delicious too. Will definitely return.
Really well organised. Very clear instructions. Food was great. Will go again
will definitely be back next time i am in town
We went for lunch and the butternut squash cannelloni was amazing. Lovely carrots and greens too! We’ll be back!
Spacious old pub with great outside area. Good coffee and nice staff
We were asked if we wanted to sit inside/outside. We opted for outside and the tables were socially distanced with a good 2 metres plus apart. Service and food was great.
It's my first visit back to a pub in 16 weeks. It was the greatest pub in all the land and the beer tasted like it was brewed by the gods themselves. Everybody working there was doing a terrific job, they were courteous, friendly and welcoming. Top notch.
We were really impressed with the safety measures in place and how smooth the whole experience was. Our waitress was fantastic, and the pub retained a really relaxed atmosphere which was great. A lovely evening and will definitely be returning soon!
First visit out since pubs reopened .. friendly staff working well under the new ‘normal’. Lovely food and wine!
It was great to have a rare date night in our local pub after all that time! Thank you
This was the first time out after lockdown and The Rosendale did it perfectly
Delicious food -and possibly the nicest staff in the world. Lovely being back in a pub again, and excellent Covid measures in place
Great to see you open again! Great food and atmosphere
Lovely and relaxed - I nice introduction to social life! Thank you.
Staff were very friendly and the food was great! Thanks
Amazing food and service great atmosphere . Good value for money
The waitress was lovely and very good at dealing with people who were not yet aware of the rules.
Great place, cosy outdoor area and tasty food! Would recommend
Happy with the dining experience, considering the challenges with the reopening.
The food and atmosphere is great. Will be going back.
It was great! Definitely coming back again for another Sunday roast.
Relaxed, enjoyable and safe. Lovely meal and ambience. Glad it has reopened
We dine here regularly because it is such a pleasurable experience in terms of atmosphere, service, quality of food and value for money. Our food was good, wholesome, nutritious tucker. My wife has halibut and I had a lamb shank and they were both delicious. If I were to be critical I thought the vegetables were just a little overdone (I like them firm and crunchy), but that was no big deal.
Stopped for a quick roast while travelling across London; it was delicious!
We are regular visitors and are happy to recommend the Rosendale. Good food and wine. Pleasant atmosphere and service. Good value. What’s not to like.
Our food came quickly, it was freshly cooked and very tasty. Eaten here many times and this was the best roast we’ve had at the Rosendale
Accueil très sympathique des serveuses très attentionnées. Un sunday roast généreux et très bon
Service was quite slow and the staff were not very patient
Great food and service worth the journey and will visit again.
Very nice pub atmosphere. Good food and drink and great service.
Some dishes were excellent (eg the lamb or the ravioli) but others were really very poor (watery soup, tasteless mushroom stew). Atmosphere nice though!
Booked on the day. Attracts lots of families which is fine but may annoy some with the noise but didn’t bother us. We ordered our drinks and food not long after being seated and they all came so fast we were surprised how quick the food arrived. Even when I asked for a Yorkshire pudding and gravy it came just as quick so my food wasn’t getting cold while we waited. Our server was fast and attentive. No complaints at all. We come from Bromley and always know that we are guaranteed great food when we arrive.
We went on a Friday and had been seated at a table too small, despite having booked. When we asked to move the waitress didn’t bring us the menus to the new table, or a kids menu, or the colouring pens and paper for the child with us. The fish and chips was very heavy on the batter and light on the fish. , the custard in one of our desserts was watery
Birthday meal was amazing and great vegan options as well
A £45 shared surf and turf. Enough steak for one person and a prawn each was a joke. For a Valentines dinner, no Champagne by the glass, only £60 per bottle? Why wasn’t there a special Valentines menu? My half bottle of NZ Sauvignon blanc, £19 not chilled. Terrible. The service was fair. £123 was massively overpriced for a meal that was worth no more than £80. Sadly we wouldn’t choose to eat here again.
A really good venue. So much to recommend. The food was delicious - and good value - but I thought that it was a bit cheeky to ask £19.50 for a house white wine that is available for a fiver on the open market.
Was beautiful. FOOD amazing and waitresses perfect thank you ;)
A lovely lunch at my favourite pub. We enjoyed the 50% off food deal that was running in January. Service was excellent and food delicious, thanks.
Booked The Rosendale, for 5 of us, to take advantage of a January food discount offer, sent me via email..... Never been there before. Welcome was warm, relaxed & friendly. Good variety of choices on the menu, including for the 2 vegetarians amongst us. All of the, mostly different, starters and main courses ordered were tasty and enjoyed and certainly good portions too. Flexibility offered with some sauces or accompaniments, including at desert ordering time which was appreciated. Our Sticky Toffee puddings were a little dense when “cutting” into them, but the flavours were still good. We did have an issue however when it came to the Optional Service Charge added, which was calculated on the pre-Discount price at 12.5%...... [or more than 19% on the actual bill total!!]. 2 of the 5 of us work in catering, currently and a third did for many years....! 1 of those 2, plus her husband, object to paying that kind of percentage on bottles of wine (generally the most expensive individual items! We had 2.) simply brought to the table, furthermore there was a pint of beer which had been ordered and brought to the table, directly at and from the bar, by the husband himself, which also was included in the service charge calculation.. . . . We decided what we thought was a reasonable amount of Service to pay, which worked out at 14% on the actual bill total. Or 13% on the non-discounted Food Total. Before we left, when a waitress came and collected the plate with our cash payment, the husband mentioned that we had adapted the Optional Service Charge amount. We then left and stood outside on the pavement to say our goodbyes for several minutes. Suddenly, the waitress appeared, (no doubt sent by someone higher up in charge.... ?) and said that our payment was short by several ££. When we repeated what we told her inside about the Optional charge she first said we still had to pay it! But then when we insisted about the meaning of the word Optional, she seemed to “understand” and went back inside the restaurant. . . . . Maybe Management can inform their staff of this aspect?
Really nice evening and amazing food. The servers were efficient and knowledgeable. Will visit again.
