We spent a lovely afternoon in the Rosendale on New Year's Day. Friendly service and didn't feel rushed. Food was tasty and plentiful. First time there and would go again.

Our party of 5, including 3+ year old girl, thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal. Each food course and dish were excellent; tasty innovative and satisfying! There was a minor misunderstanding over the wine order, resolved satisfactorily, although the prices are on the high side The table situation next to the fireplace at the rear of the restaurant was also a little drafty But overall,l an excellent birthday treat We look forward to dining here again Peter Goodwin

Service was great our waitress was very friendly, helpful and accommodating but food wasn't great today. Unusual as it's usually really lovely. We were offered desert on the house in place of the 'not so good' food.

we booked the rosendale as we wanted to do the monday night quiz which they stopped the previous week. There appeared to be no interest in the games night. The food was good value and service was good.

Lovely Sunday lunch at the Rosendale and efficient service. Only downside was a change of menu from previous visits meaning the vegetarian option had changed from wellington to nut roast.

Great food and service but restaurant very busy and table felt very cramped with not much room to move. Restaurant was very noisy due to a large party with lots of children. Food good quality, good value for money and served very quickly.

Fantastic place to go with kids and the food is excellent too. The staff were really helpful and friendly and there was so much space which is great when you have buggies, highchairs etc.

One of the worst restaurants I have ever been to! We waiting 30 minutes for drinks, our starters were over cooked, our fish main were rock hard and there was blood coming out of a burger we had ordered, another group we're letting off party poppers off whilst children were getting scared and screaming and then they wanted a £15.00 service charge for attending the table three times! Which we refused.. It was awful! One of the worst restaurants I have ever been too! Ruined the birthday we were out for!

Lovely country feel pub. Warm and attentive staff. Good décor, love the high ceilings and light fittings. Classic English style menu all of which served promptly and good presentation. Large portions which is something quite rare in Today's London restaurant scene it seems. Special shout out for the Portobello Mushroom dish which was a delicious, cheese-free, vegetarian and Gluten Free friendly creation. Huge fan - I'd return just for that. Thank you!

Food good, service bad. Under trained staff, all very young, nice but spent a lot of time waiting and asking again and again for things. Nice place but lack in training for the people who work there.

Excellent food and a warm, friendly, family atmosphere. There was a good choice from the menu even on a sundry evening at the end of a busy day. The waiter was quite young and relatively inexperienced but very helpful and charming.

Nice venue and staff were friendly apart from the sever forgetting to add one of the dishes to the order so my mum had to wait 15 mins before she had her main and by that point we had finished!

The food was good but a little bit disorganised, our booking wasn't prepared properly, they didn't have the right table size for our booking, had to repeatedly ask for basic things like cutlery to be brought! A nice place but a bit more attention to detail needed.

Four of us went for Sunday lunch. The food was really good - beautifully cooked and presented - and it arrived quickly. The service was excellent - friendly, attentive and efficient but not intrusive. And it's such a lovely relaxed pub with great outdoor space. Last time I visited I'd been worried standards were slipping but the Rosendale is back on form!

Good food and service. The vanilla panacotta with mandarin was good, and the sticky toffee pudding also enjoyed by others in our group. Had to request lemon and ice for our water.

Excellent service and a thoroughly enjoyable meal; steak bearnaise for me and a pizza with an extra bowl of roast potatoes for my wife, delicious! The menu is reassuringly simple and classy, including roasts, burgers, steaks, fish, salads, salads and a host of side orders and extras. The Rosendale is spacious inside and out, offering a very pleasant dining experience. Child friendly and highly recommended!

Waiting staff were poor and seemed disinterested. Told there were no pizzas available but let table next to us order them. Maybe it was just us?
