It was awesome! Food was delicious, staff very friendly. Would definitely go back again! Super nice to see several spirits from Adnams on the menu!

Very slow service (restaurant was not even full.) Main course was disappointing - goat cheese crostini of which the bread was limp and soggy - it also tiny for a main course. When it arrived I immediately ordered chips to bulk out my meal, but they arrived way after I and my party had finished. Staff nice, but service slow and food disappointing, especially for vegetarians.

We haven’t been to the Rosendale for a while as the food was disappointing last time we visited. However this visit didn’t disappoint. Becky was great and made sure that we were really well looked after. The food and drink was really fantastic and we’ll definitely be back.

Waited 15mins for a waiter to take our order, thought there were many just wondering around not busy. The food was very bland and not as good as previous visits. Not a good Mother’s day experience

Excellent Specials; sea bream with beans was delicious. Service was swift and friendly. It was a nice touch to offer mothers a free glass of prosecco for mother's day.

Nice food selection and good service. As always the presentation of the food was really nice and they have very good portion sizes. A good spot for a family meal.

Very efficient and friendly staff. Varied and interesting menu. Enjoyed the food. Quite cold in the restaurant tonight during the cold spell, with some diners keeping their coats on.

The restaurant was very cold. I know the weather is very cold at the moment, and I appreciate it's a tough place to heat, but they need to handle it - perhaps bring in additional heating. The service was slow, even though they weren't busy. The food was ok for the kind of place it is, and it's reasonable value.

Food was good but it was freezing, we did ask for the radiator to be turned up a couple of times, but were told it took 4 hours! Disappointing.

Great for a relaxed Sunday Lunch with family and friends. Good service, food is fresh and clearly made in house , specials change and tend to be seasonal

I always enjoy coming to the Rosendale Pub. They’ve been so supportive of any events I’ve organised there. Very helpful staff and a great menu.

Sunday lunch wasn't much to rate about - rather fatty but most importantly cold as was the room itself. Atmosphere nice though and service good.

Friendly staff with excellent service, and great food. What more could you want?! Oh yes, and the holy grail of scotch eggs, with a perfectly runny yolk.

Such a nice place to eat, great food. They could make it a bit warmer with candle light and the entrance seems a bit random. Some more furniture would do. But other than that it was GREAT!!

Service was pretty slow. I felt it could have definetly been faster given the number of diners that were in the restaurant on a Tuesday evening.

Welcoming atmosphere, helpful staff and large helpings of good gastropub food. The smoked trout was particularly good and the steak and ale pie wholesome and filling. Do not plan on vigorous exercise after eating here.

My pregnant girlfriend had to change her mains order after we'd already had our starters as they said they had run out of the dish, only to see others who came in later than us get served that very dish. When our mains finally came an hour later mine was stone cold and I had to send it back, then wait another fifteen minutes for a warm version to turn up. To their credit the food was good when correct and they didn't charge us for either, however my drinks bill was more that I'd have liked given the amount of time we were left waiting so it wasn't a cheap date It was a disappointing experience at a place whose sister restaurants we really like going too. We'll give it another chance because we really want it to be good and hope that was just an off day

The food was lovely and the service was friendly and quick. The only negative for us was the cool temperature of the pub. On a wet Winter day, it lacked the cosiness of other venues. More radiators and a roaring fire would have been welcome.

Very busy and rather noisy, but very jolly. Very good braised beef, hamburger fine. Nice reasonable wine. Very good 50% off food deal. Attentive service and we were offered a drink or a free dessert because we waited a bit for main course - we didn't have either so thety knocked a bit off the bill! Very enjoyable.

Excellent service from Jamie, food and service was wonderful. Jamie was very polite and cheerful, it was also the small things which made a difference, such as when he walked past he poured our wine. Love the ability to book online also. Please pass our thanks to Jamie he did you proud.

The serving was a bit slow but it was Friday night. The food was good for veg but no potatoes were served for Christmas meal so disappointed (carrot, brussel sprouts, kale, turnip were cooked perfectly).

The Rosendale was tastefully decorated out for christmas. It had a lovely warm atmosphere and to top it all it had excellent service and first class food. Our roasts were amazing, All the ingredients to celebrate my daughter's 18th birthday. Thank you.

Went in for a Sunday roast in the evening around 17:00. They still had all the trimmings and everything with additional options for gravy and Yorkshire puddings. Excellent environment really good meal - would suggest to all. Warm and welcoming staff too.

One of the best Sunday roasts I've ever had. Especially good crispy roast potatoes. Great service, nice venue. Will be back. (Not the place for a quiet lunch for two though. Lots of local families clearly love it.)

Lovely, huge roast for lunch. Friendly, attentive staff who gave us a substantial discount on discovering we had a damp seat! We didn't ask for the discount, we were just letting them know. How nice of them.

The Food was excellent as always . The Atmosphere was fantastic. I fortunately we put at a table by the front door away from the main resturant seating area so service was very very slow , and we had to ask for service to our table on four occasions , including having to go up to the cashier to pay for the bill at the end .

Very dissapointed on this visit. There was no service, the waiter seemed somewhat peeved insofar as he threw card terminal at us when paying. Maybe because I complained about the Apple crumble as it had large biscuit size topping not crumble! Sunday roast was ok but no stuffing....

Service was great. However it wasn’t clear from the website that “food all day” didn’t include a full dinner/ lunch menu at the time we booked. Also, the outside play area was closed. We specifically went to enjoy an early dinner with 4 kids who could play outside. The nice service saved it but it didn’t deliver the 2 specific reasons I booked it.

Great kids afternoon with free pumpkin carving and sweets. Only negative is that we weren't aware we had to wait until 6pm until we were allowed to order anything other than pizza.
