My favourite Sunday lunch place... the food, the wine list and the service always of a high standard!

Our meal was as good as always. Starting with a pint of Harvey’s, to be found in London, is very good. The service as also as good as usual.

Friendly service and nice food but nothing special. The gravy with the pie was quite bland.

Excellent food, good service but restaurant area too noisy. Great Sunday roast. Shame they feel the need to charge extra for a Yorkshire pudding. Overall v good value

Great fun and great service. Really looked after us even when kids spilled lots of drinks. Price with 3 adults and 5 kids/ teens averaged out at just over £20/person.

The staff were very friendly. The service was however slow - we had to wait 10 minutes or so before our order was taken, coffee was slow coming, and we spent some time waving our arms before we could get someone to bring the bill and then a further delay before we could pay it. We felt the menu was limited and it was only following our meal that we found a blackboard listing specials - these had not been drawn to our attention. The food was good, and the ambiance pleasant.

Excellent food and a great drinks selection. Service was slow, but didn’t cause any problems as they left us to chat. Will certainly be back for the late bird menu

Another great Sunday roast. The roast pork was amazing. Consistently good food, great service and large portions. I would totally recommend if you're considering a visit.

The food and staff are great ! It’s a really busy pub, the staff work their socks off ! We initially booked a table of 7 online, we then had two more of our family come along and join us making us a group of 9, no problem after a bit of shifting around. Great place

Great roast dinner (beef & pork) & children’s fish and chips was a decent size. Desserts were very tasty and the service was good too.

Excellent atmosphere for our celebratory occasion. Slightly slow service at the end but very pleasant and congenial throughout. Food good . An increased range would have helped. Steak too expensive.

It was a Monday night so very quiet, got served quickly for a change. The green curry with summer veg was one of the best I’ve had!

I was disappointed to find there was no Harveys ale or Apricot chutney. Our table was sticky not 'shiney' clean and quite unpleasant to have food served on. The staff as always were welcoming, pleasant and attentive. Again the pie crust was black and crumbly in places as over cooked even though I had made a polite request not to burn it when ordering, as it was on the previous occasion

Service very slow, not enough staff working. We had to go up to the staff to ask if we could order food & drink and then had to go & ask again ‘please can we have our drinks’? The pizzas were very good.

The service was unusually slow for lunch and the pub was not overly busy. I have generally had a positive experience in the past so it may have just been a one off bad day. The food when it did arrive was enjoyable as usual.

Recently went to the Rosendale for dinner. While the service was not bad, I just think it could have been better, it wasn't busy and the waitress only came over when called to, we were asked for drinks the moment we came in so weren't ready but then she took another 10 min to get back to us to take the order. The starters were taken away without being asked, one plate still had food on it, they were obviously in a rush to bring mains as these came straight away, as they had obviously been sitting there for some time as my iberico pork chop was dry and over cooked. The rest of the food was good though and there was a nice ambiance in the restaurant.

Very tasty food, lovely service, local gastro pub at its best - and bottle displays that appeal to my OCD tendencies in their symmetry. I’m going to miss this place when I move

Pizzas were excellent but halibut dish overcooked and over-buttered. Sunday roasts looked good coming out (but pricy!). Nice building, nice outside space but stick to pizza if eating. The rest seems overpriced for what you get.

The Rosendale is a warm and welcoming pub with great food and bar staff to match. We are regulars because it is the sort of bar that you want to keep returning to.

We visited your establishment for the first time on Saturday evening 9th June, 2018. It was a dull, cool evening and the main double doors and a side door were left wide open. This caused us much discomfort due to the draft circulating around, the restaurant area, though we were seated to the rear of the room. This probably benefitted yourstaff as they were busy attending to your customers. We enoyed our meal which was well cooked and the service was to a reasonable standard. We objected to the "Optional Service Charge" of 12 1/2% being added to the bill, which should be based on SERVICE and not on the total of the bill. We hope you will consider the comfort of your clientele and review your billing layout and method of billing your customers in future.

Really nice restaurant with a good vibe. Always nice food and a good selection for restricted diets. You are also able to have a selection of sides as the portions are really good.

We love the Rosendale, it is our local but don't have shellfish on a hot day! A crab starter was definitely off. It is very well run but a boiling Sunday Bank Holiday weekend might have been the proverbial straw and camel's back!

Our Sunday roasts were good but the adult burger my son ordered was small - the children’s version minuscule and dry. The verdict of both my kids was let’s not come again ...

Great family atmosphere, wonderful roast beef dinner. The fish was only OK. The 'kalamari' starter wasn't kalamari - it was squid. The dessert custard was watery. Wine too indifferent to be that expensive. But will go back for the beef!

Very limited choice on the menu. When we decided to order from the specials board, we were told those items no longer existed, which was rather annoying. The food that did come was bland and very dry.

I love the Rosendale for it's convenience and choice of food - their Sunday roasts are one of the best! However, the menu last night wasn't as inspiring as it is usually. I had a special from the board - pizza with capers and salmon. This was delicious! My companion had a salad, also from the specials board but unfortunately it was dreadful and poor value for money

We waited over an hour for food and although they took some money off the bill. The service was poor to say the least, I also requested for them to leave a happy birthday note on the table for the birthday guests which was ignored.

Messed up our meals by giving them to another table so we had to wait around 40 minutes for our food. We were given a discount off the bill though.

Evidently very popular, because quite busy even on a Tuesday evening. There was a limited menu because of work being done in the kitchen, but all our meals and starters were very good, as was the service.
