Staff friendly. Service a little slow, which is unusual. Tasty food.

Always feel confident inviting friends to the Rosendale. We had a lovely afternoon without feeling any time pressure and the food and service were wonderful.

Friendly service, nice area for dining with kids and delicious roasts! Kids menu pizza which we finished off was also very nice

We went for the delicious pies but they were not on the menu, sadly. Service not as good as on previous visits. A nice evening though.

Excellent service for such a big group on a Friday. The food was delicious and it we received 50% off food with their January deal.

1. One of the two meals arrived whilst we were still eating our starters. 2. Whilst eating our starters my friends requested extra bread and it was put down on the table on top of a dirty plate!!! Why would a waitress not take the empty items away and to put it down onto a plate that previously held the fish cakes! 3. The roast was nowhere near as nice as it was on previous visits. 4. Tables are too close together meaning there was always someone’s bottom brushing past out table - including the waiter knocking into our side plates whilst clearing the table next to us!!

Starter and main course fantastic. Sticky Toffee Pudding was inedible👎.17.5% “optional” service charge (when menu said 12.5%) was out of order and had to be removed on request resulting in 0% gratuity!

nice atmosphere, great service food good some vegetables a little cold and under cooked! Only pork left at 7pm for a roast dinner, no beef or chicken!:(

I booked a table for my birthday with friends. Excellent service as always, including a free bottle of Prosecco. It was a great evening.

For veg option it wasn't really Christmasy (a pie on creamy mash and red cabbage), no green at all and the sauce was very salty - still tasty though. The service was great as always, will come back again.

I liked the fact that the restaurant was not playing taped or piped music constantly and was quiet so that the group could chat.

Food and service good but table given was far too small for four people. It was a 2 seater with four chairs around which made it very uncomfortable to eat and try and get items on the table.

No waiting time as we’d booked. Prompt and attentive service. Food was very good.

Their food is always good for vegetarians - 3 options for main. I chose veg burger with chips, all lovely but thought it'd be better with a bit of salad? (so I ordered carrots and greens too) Tofu Aioli was supposed to come with it but didn't come (I remembered it when I got home). The noise level was good, no need to shout but the good atmosphere was kept - it was a Monday night after all. Friendly staff, great food, we will go back around Christmas time.

AS ever: good, wholesome food, served by polite and friendly staff in a pleasant environment. We did wait a little longer than usual but that was because the restaurant was busy.

The pub has a lovely atmosphere and its great for kids as there is s play area. On this visit however the service was slow - there was a wedding reception but the restaurant was fairly quiet - many of the drinks we tried to order were out of stock and the menu was more limited than I recall from previous visits.

I even got a discount for the slight delay in getting my afters. Lovely food, friendly staff and generally a lovely place to spend your Sunday afternoon

The Rosendale had basically no food come Sunday evening. I thought maybe the management had changed as I use to go to this place regularly and never had this diabolical experience before. Went home and cooked for myself. May as well just serve crisps and nuts at the bar.

Good food, generous portions and efficient service. Reasonable value for money.

The food was nice, the potatoes were a little over cooked and the portion sizes a little smaller than a lot of other places but overall lovely service and nice venue. I would however add that Apple pie and custard not being on a menu for Sunday roast is a little crazy, if apple pie and custard/ cream alternatives for ice cream was to be added it would be the cherry on the top. :)
