Great place, good service, food tasty and price affordable. I recommand the Rosendale gastropub in West Dulwich. Only missing point : a great belgium beer as we are Belgian. I took a special morrocan pie for labour day and it was delicious. The same for their pizzas and their famous Rosendale burger with real chips.
It's one of my favourite places to go for diner with my family. This time, compare to the last 2 it was Great! The service was spot on, very quick and friendly. The food was Delisious and fresh. Thank you! We will come back soon! X
Good pub grub and a happy time for our kids in the play garden. No table ordering in the garden but they bring the food to the tables.
W were well received on our arrival. All the members of staff that dealt with us were Charming, Happy, and most important of all attentive. The food was good well presented and hot.
Wow best Sunday Lunch ever! Just like my godmother used to make! Just wish I could have eaten two! Our new local and we could not ask for anywhere better!
Good food, great kids' menu, good value and nice staff. Great to have a great local pub with better than average pub food and value.
Lovely venue, fantastic staff, glorious ambiance, baby friendly, spacious & delicious food. Well worth a FEW visits. Only problem was parking but that is a common problem in and around London.
Excellent service with very friendly and attentive staff We ate from both the main menu and the specials board, the quality of food was very good and all served very hot which is rare and much appreciated!
Fantastic food and ambience. Friendly staff. Always a pleasure returning!
Nice atmosphere. Lovely Sunday roast. Happy it is one of our locals. We had a marvelous time, again. And we will be back for more.
A fantastic Sunday lunch. Great food and extremely efficient service considering how busy it was. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The pork belly roast, sticky toffee pudding and flourless chocolate cake were all excellent. The kids roast dinner for £5 are brilliant value for money.
Thanks again for the great food and great atmosphere and especially the great beers on tap! The Rosendale does not disappoint. It's a very child friendly pub, so expect lots of noise and banter!
Another great Sunday lunch with my family at The Rosendale all tge roasts are amazing along with the friendly and happy service! Can't wait to go again!
Great pub, great food and lovely staff. Even when really busy food arrived quickly and was fantastic. Best Sunday Roast for miles!!! The pub is also dog friendly which is an added bonus.
We went for Sunday lunch. Good food in terms of quality and variety. Great service. Very family friendly. Great overall experience. I would certainly go back.
Great food, great atmosphere Wide ranging menu with different specials each day, friendly staff & children are welcome before 7pm There an outside garden & play area too
Lovely food and super staff. Very helpful and always smiling. Good and varied menu and great setting. Wines are good and comprehensive list for all tastes. Suits young and old and has really positive atmostphere.
Really nice pub, warm and welcoming, not pretentious in the slightest, and comfy sofas to sink into. Food was amazing (as was the selection of wines). Would recommend this pub - I know I'll be going back again!
A great local family friendly pub and restaurant. Good service, good food, good garden for kids.
I really enjoy the new menu, the attention to details, flavour and presentation of the dishes. Also they have a good range of beers both local and national which change regularly. Worth a visit, two or more…
I had a very enjoyable meal at The Rosendale. The atmosphere was relaxing, the hostesses we very polite and helpful and the meal was delightful. I will be going back very soon.
We were a group of 6 on a Thursday night. Food was good and service was friendly, if a little on the slow side! Nice atmosphere!
Very nice location even for kids with outdoor space and very good menu and food. Nice atmosphere and courteous service. Not so cheap but good.
I hadn't been to the Rosendale in years, but it was great! We ordered starters and mains and everything was delicious. They give a decent portion too! A great local pub.
Great food and beautiful atmosphere. We were served by Lukas who was fantastic - we were invited to the staff x-mas party. I would highly recommend.
Food was excellent, service was poor, our waitress barely served us, not even sure who our waitress was due to having to ask any and every waitress for meals and drinks, we asked for a Coke which took 9min to arrived
Excellent service, did everything they could do accommodate my dietary needs (dairy free & gluten free). The roast was delicious. Will go back for sure.
Our local pub did us proud yet again with a lovely meal out. Great burger, lovely fish & chips. Nice wine. Interesting beer. Very busy night but staff were very good.
Friendly staff and welcoming environment. The food was really good and we really enjoyed the new menu dishes. A relaxing experience at the end of the week!
Great food, the staff were really nice and friendly, even though they were busy. I would recommend booking, especially if you're going for Sunday lunch
Great food and a nice atmosphere. A good selection of real ales, including some from local breweries.
The food was very average..staff friendly. The Rosendale doesn't seem to know what it is - a neighbourhood pub, a gastro pub, a restaurant - ends up falling between 3 stools.
We were in a hurry because we were going to a concert and unfortunately the service was very slow and a bit chaotic because they had a huge wedding party to cope with. However, the food was very good.
Delicious food and very charming staff, even in the face of many small children running about. It was also half price January so the value for money was amazing.
Good Sunday dinner, good service and very family friendly. Only very slight negative was that two of the side dishes we ordered didn't arrive and we had to chase them up. But really that was minor and the staff/service was great! Will go back.
Really good atmosphere, food delicious and the staff are friendly and very helpful. The wine list is wide and the menu is varied. I have been a number of times and always enjoy it.
Fantastic meal at The Rosendale. The food was excellent and it has a lovely atmosphere. Good value for the quality of the food and drinks.
Lovely restaurant. Helpful and polite staff. Great wine and beer drinks list.
It was much more quieter than the last time I had been in several weeks before. However, this does not detract from lovely relaxed surroundings and as usual, the food was excellent. Always nice to have these factors when re-introducing a friend back to a different Rosendale than the one she experienced 12 years ago. She was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed her meal!
Very busy as you'd expect the week before Christmas so a little wait for our main course but couldn't fault the food. Lovely roast dinner even my children cleaned their plates. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.
The food was very good, so too was the service. The pub has a great selection of real ales and a fairly comprehensive wine list.
Overall an enjoyable evening despite some poor service and variable food. My partner's starter of crayfish and mackerel was pretty average (she left most of it, and it didn't look very appetising), while my leek and potato soup was too salty. However, our mains more than made up for it. My partner's ribeye steak was cooked to perfection and very tasty. I had the chicken pie with mash (one of the specials), which was delicious and very filling. We also had some sides: the green salad was so-so (how can dressing taste so bland?) but the mixed vegetables were beautifully tender, and the chips were great. The kids' food was of a decent standard, particularly my son's burger, which he wolfed down (my daughter had the pizza). Portions were generous and we didn't have room for dessert. Unfortunately, the service wasn't always up to scratch TBH. One of the waitresses couldn't have been more helpful (actually without her the meal could have been a disaster) but the others just didn't seem interested (sorry, but that's the truth). I've been a waiter myself and I know it's not fun, but this could have spoilt our evening and that would have been a shame, especially as we were there to celebrate a birthday. The only other negative was my glass of Chilean sauvignon blanc, which I left half finished. They've got a really well-stocked bar, and it's not cheap, so there's no excuse to be serving such poor-quality wine. Would we return? Definitely, it's a beautiful venue and the food is good value (mostly). However, I hope the service, wine and starters are better next time.
Great food, great service, friendly staff and a wonderful venue. Dinner on a Friday night, it was an ideal venue for somewhere comfortable, relaxed and welcoming.
Very nice indeed. One of our favorite locals. Lovely Sunday roast in nice, busy and friendly environment. We been many times and we will definitely be back.
Perfect with family food and service great. Kids food is actually good and also they were given coloured nag book which kept the quiet so we could relax
Great lunch for five, slightly spoiled with stone cold expressos and an incorrect bill. Lovely food though on a depressingly wet, grey afternoon. Table at 3pm missed the main lunchtime rush.
Good food but we had a very bad table which spoiled our lunch. We were tucked away at the back of the room and it felt rather like a cafeteria.
The menu is simple yet balanced and varied, making it always easy to pick a winner to suit your taste and mood. Very pleasant ambiance too, with tall ceilings lending a feeling of space, yet with a social buzz creating warmth.
Nice atmosphere and good service but the roast pork was annoyingly unavailable. Hopefully better luck next time. Screw Flanders. Screw Flanders. Screw Flanders. Screw Flanders.
I always enjoy this restaurant. It is quite loud, but it's child friendly, so be prepared to speak a bit more loudly with your fellow diners. We decided to go a bit later than normal and opted for 15:30 and found this past Sunday that it was still very busy. My only complaint, which was immediately rectified, was that drinks were added to our bill that weren't ours. The waitress corrected the situation, but it was still incorrect, so she fixed it again. My only comment would be on busy days to make sure you check your bill in case this sort of thing happens to you. The food has been consistently above average every time we have dined here!
