Good atmosphere, food Ok overall, service not good. Had the tasty crab ravioli in bisque but had to sit with it in front of me while we waited a full 5 minutes for one of our party's starter, by which time we were eating cold ravioli. Shame.

I ordered the ribs as I tend to order ribs when I eat in a restaurant and these were awful, I left almost the entire plate untouched and had a few chips which were quite good, hence the score of 1. The ribs were chewy and had an unpleasant texture. The sauce was nothing I'd ever had before, not pleasant. The wine was very good but very expensive. I will not visit The Rosendale again, very unpleasant experience.

Really nice food and get together with friends. Good ambience. Felt v chaotic though and had to keep asking for basic stuff we would have expected to come as standard, eg horseradish and mustard with roast beef,

Had a great meal with friends (coffee was a bit strong for our tastes) but food was great and the house wine was excellent value for money!

Thoroughly enjoyable family lunch. Food was delicious and service friendly. Only criticism is pre-seasoning of vegetables on childrfen's menu that my 7 year old granddaughter refused to touch although we did request her food to be plain.

Very nice food and good wine selection. Shame we chose Quiz Night (Monday) to attend as it was a bit noisier than we would have liked. But overall a lovely evening.

Very attentive service on a surprisingly busy Tuesday night. Tasty food, generous portions. Six very satisfied guests. Even sending a burger back to be cooked a little longer was no trouble; a brand new one arrived in no time with a complimentary glass of wine in the interim.

The rosendale is very nice restaurant. Offers a lovely meal, reasonable priced and plenty for the kids to do. The outdoor area has been recently uplift and offers a lovely alternative if you don't want to sit inside.

Sunday Roast was the best I have ever had. I went for the pork. Service was friendly and very helpful although there were points when I felt we waiting too long. But I suspect this is because the restaurant was absolutely jam packed. So i cant really complain.

We felt that the Rosendale was a better restaurant than either the Abbeville or the Avalon. The service was charming and politely efficient. The food was good although we only had a burger each - however they were much better than most I have eaten. Sticky toffee pudding was very good too. Definitely come again (possibly with the dog too)!!

The service was very good and staff friendly and welcoming. The,food was ok, but the restaurant itself needs to be be heated a little better at this time of year. It's too big a space for a good ambiance when it feels draughty and cold.

Staff were friendly. Food was good & good portion sizes but as it was Easter & there special was Lamb, me & my friend went for the lamb & found that it was cut too thick which made it quite tough so was a little disappointed with the lamb, However the flavour was beautiful. My Partner had the Pork & thought it was the best pork he's ever had! I ordered chicken Goujons for my toddler & they were really over cooked she just ate the chips & peas, I should have sent it back really as it was too tough. Sticky Toffee Pudding lovely as always. Apple Crumble quite watery. Service was good though. Nice Ambience.

Staff were slow to acknowledge we were waiting even though we were standing in the doorway with two young children. It then took another 10 minutes to seat us. Once seated we were forgotten about and had to ask a waitress to be served. Food tasted great and was presented nicely but it would of been better if it was hot.

Service was great and really liked the pub. Think the roast could be improved with the addition of cauliflower cheese or atleast the option of it as a side dish!

Excellent meal and good service despite a full restaurant! The lamb and pork were delicious and the chocolate cake excellent! Kids enjoyed playing outside too. Loved the Yorkshires. We were here a year ago for an Easter day family lunch -looks like this will become a tradition!

The restaurant was extremely busy as you would expect for Sunday lunch. We booked a table for 4 adults and 2 kids. We found there are too many tables and not enough space between them. It was very difficult for some of my group to sit comfortably and felt cramped. However when we asked to move table the Staff were very accommodating and moved us as quickly as they could. The food arrived promptly and was excellent, really tasty. However the waiting service was a little slow and disorganised. I would recommend eating at the Rosendale despite these minor hiccups as it is difficult to get a Sunday roast of this quality locally.

This new menu is really good. Good selection of dishes but I liked the quinoa, sweet potato and kale dish I had for starter: it's my favourite.
