Got our order wrong but food was decent when they changed back to original order. The pork is lovely and roast is ok but I’ve tasted better here on other occasions.

i was a great evening.. the only snag is that , it was disappointing that two main meals was unavailable, considering we where there really early as the kitchen opened and it was a special occasion. Service was great , shame about the menu

It was very noisy and the service very slow. We waited for 30 minutes for our main course which was luke warm. We were then told that they could not show us the dessert menu as they needed our table for someone else! That turned out to be a mistake and they offered us an espresso on the house as an apology. A disappointing lunch.

Strongly Disappointing. We arrived at 21:00. We gave our order at 21:15. At 21:30 the waiter told us that we would not even know why the kitchen was shut down. We had Business Dinner. That's all.

Excellent food at reasonable prices. Service was good but it was not a busy night (Tuesday) Will definitely return again as it's local for us.

This was a really enjoyable experience. All pubs should be like this. The kids had fun, the staff couldn't be more helpful and my pizza tasted like Italy on a board. I love this place!

Very friendly and helpful service, and big portions of well-cooked food. Good for Sunday roasts, and a good range of starters and desserts. Always reliable.

Beautiful pub, tasty food, reasonably priced. Some of the wait staff are excellent! Others aren't AS great. Seems to be a staff retention issue here. Overall, a positive experience.

Such a fantastic pub- beautiful food and great service. A wonderful space for children to run around outside. With a new baby, this pub will become a firm favourite!

Lovely lunch with family at the Rosendale. The service was superb and the chicken pie and hake special dishes were delicious. Looking forward to my next visit.

Member of drunken wedding party smashed reception till and caused huge amounts of damage disturbing everybody else's meal. No apologies were made to any of the diners. Otherwise service was good.

Fab play area for the kids (2&4), and accommodating staff who moved our table outside so we could see said kids. Food was good, menu extensive and prosecco nicely chilled.

Fantastic service and all the staff coped very well with our large party. Food was delicious especially the flatbreads and the pizzas as they make it on site. Delicious!

Always a pleasant experience the Rosendale served us some excellent food (the Beef and Guiness pie was terrific) and some reasonably priced wine. Staff are always efficient and friendly. Keep going back

Their roast lunch never fails to be wonderful and their Bloody Mary cocktail is legendary. Lots of kids always there, so be prepared for a bit of noise.

As an 'occasional regular' I would say the Rosendale is a place we always enjoy visiting. The food is tasty and well prepared (Tomato flatbread is to die for!) and the staff friendly. Top the evening off with a quick game table tennis and you've got a mid-week night out that's hard to beat. Minor niggle? Drinks could come more quickly, it's mildly irritating for the wine to turn up half way through a meal. That aside, I would thoroughly recommend the Rosendale to anyone.

Disappointed with the burger and chips. Didn't have enough umbrellas at the outdoor tables it was a hot day and got burnt by the sun and there was no suggestions from the staff that there's more seating with umbrellas at the front of the pub. The tables were small for 4 people who came to eat. Won't be going back.

Food was lovely as always, but today it was really busy and noisy, so you couldn't have a conversation during lunch. I love the sticky toffee pudding

Great meal, very nice steak pie, plenty of meat and extremely tasty. The service was polite and efficient. The real ale was rather limited on the day, but of a good standard. The prices are fair, considering the high standard of the grub. I would highly recommend this venue, especially for a lunch time meal.

Took a very long time to get served, and the food was incredibly slow at eventually coming out. The wine was warm and we had to repeatedly ask for forgotten items - ketchup etc. It was a nice summers day and I understand the pub was busy, but we'd booked a week in advance so were very disappointed.

Please have more fish meals. The last 4 times I've eaten here the fish special has finished & I've always eaten around 7pm. Surely that means you need to buy more fish!! Apart from this, it's a great local restaurant.

The Rosendale is great for families. Helpful staff, delicious and generous food. The staff kept food warm for two of our party while they walked the baby round the block to get him off to sleep. There is also a playground for kids and space to eat outside if you want. We enjoyed our meal and had a lovely relaxing time.

3 of us enjoyed Sunday lunch at the Rosendale. My roast beef was tender if a little thinly sliced and accompanying veg and Yorkshire were good. The service was very fast. On previous visits it used to take forever on a Sunday for the food to arrive but if anything our meals came a bit too quickly even before we'd had a chance to order our wine.

Excellent. Top quality food, excellent ale. The staff are lovely. The only downside is that we seemed to have been booked between two sittings. The kitchen closes at 4:00 and reopens early evening for the later meals. Sadly this meant that there was a lack of staff between shifts and so we had an extremely long wait between courses. However we were offered a reduction in our bill, which we considered fair. All in all, well worth a visit.

Booked for Sunday lunch, restaurant very noisy, sitting on long benches you feel all the movement from the bench behind, not comfy at all. Food although served hot, tasted spicy and overly seasoned. Wine was served at correct temperature but is expensive for what it is. Would not book this restaurant again.
